On the third day after the examination, Gryffindor and Hufflepuff played their last Quidditch match. Gryffindor won, and Harry caught the Golden Snitch.
But because Gryffindor lost to Slytherin, and George's Slytherin didn't lose any match, Slytherin still won the Quidditch champion of this year.
The exams are over, classes are finished, and all the Quidditch matches have concluded, allowing for the calculation of this year's points among the four houses.
Fourth place, Hufflepuff, 335 points.
Third place, Ravenclaw, 352 points.
Second place, Gryffindor, 353 points.
First place, Slytherin, 734 points.
There was no way around it, as Slytherin won all three of their Quidditch matches under George's leadership, with George himself being a scoring maniac and Snape giving extra points in favor of Slytherin.
On the fourth day after the exams, the annual year-end banquet began.
The Great Hall was decorated with the colors of Slytherin in green and silver to celebrate their victory in the Quidditch Cup, which they won by a landslide after defeating Gryffindor in the previous year.
Above the main guest table, a large banner with a drawing of the Slytherin snake was hung.
George, the first-year student who had scored the most points for Slytherin, became the focus of attention for his house.
After the banquet began, Dumbledore gave a cheerful speech, summarizing everything that had happened this year and praising George and Harry, among others, for their contribution in fighting the Basilisk.
However, considering the huge points gap, even with extra points it would be difficult for Gryffindor to win. Moreover, extra points had to be given to Harry for his involvement in the final event, as well as to George for his part in it.
Dumbledore did not, as he had done the previous year, use extra points to flip the game in favor of Gryffindor. In the end, Slytherin still won the Quidditch Cup.
A week after the exams ended, the results were announced.
The first-year student with the highest score was George, and the first-year student with the highest score in the second year was Hermione.
The day after the results were announced, in mid-June, Hogwarts officially went on summer break.
Suddenly, all the wardrobes were empty, as everyone's belongings were packed into suitcases, and at the same time, the school's notice was sent to all the young wizards.
The only thing it said was, "No magic is allowed during vacation."
Of course, the information he got from the upper classmen was not entirely accurate.
At least in places where wizards congregate, such as the Hogwarts Express and Diagon Alley, magic is still allowed.
Even in non-magical areas where wizards live, if it's a spell like wand lighting that wouldn't cause any trouble, the Ministry of Magic would turn a blind eye.
But if you cast a spell like fire, transformation, or cutting and a non-magical person sees it, just wait for a call from the Ministry of Magic.
Under Hagrid's guidance, they traveled by boat across the Black Lake to Hogsmeade Station, where they boarded the Hogwarts Express that had been parked there.
Unlike the first time, this time he wasn't sitting next to Ginny, Luna, and Crunch, but instead next to Slytherin students of his own age.
As a Slytherin, and the most outstanding and famous Slytherin at that, although he was friends with Ginny and Harry, he would probably spend most of his time with the other Slytherin wizards.
However, being surrounded by Slytherin wizards has its advantages. Their parents are all well-known figures in the wizarding world, so they can get some valuable information when chatting with them.
The train started to move away from Hogwarts, the school shrouded in magic, and into the non-magical world.
The countryside outside the window grew greener and cleaner, with the train passing through one magical town after another. The young wizards took off their wizard robes and put on jackets and short-sleeved shirts.
Finally, around four in the afternoon, the train stopped at Platform 9 and 3/4 at King's Cross Station.
Unlike Christmas, this time only a few young wizards were returning, so it took more than an hour just to line up and leave the station.
Mainly because there was a thin old guard stationed at the dividing wall, allowing only two or three people through at a time to prevent a large group from bursting out of the solid wall and attracting the attention of Muggles.
"George, do you have any plans for summer? You can come to my house for a visit."
"George, I'll write to you."
"George, remember to write back when the time comes."
"George, remember my phone number. Give me a call if you have time."
The familiar young wizards waved goodbye to George, each of them being picked up by their parents, including Harry who was also taken away by his most hated uncle and aunt in their car.
Finally, at the entrance to King's Cross Station, there was only George left.
George was the only child without a parent coming to pick him up, because his foster father in this world had been killed by him.
But George wasn't particularly emotional about it, as he was no longer a real child. In fact, this made him feel more relaxed, free from the nuisance of a group of chattering and noisy kids.
Waving his wand to summon the Knight Bus, George found himself once again back in his own shop in Knockturn Alley.
George simply tidied up his room and pulled out Voldemort's diary and the fang of the Basilisk.
By the time George reached fifth grade, Voldemort's Dark Magic had been almost completely exposed, and because he couldn't win his trust, Voldemort also began to suspect him.
So after some consideration, he decided to destroy this Horcrux.
Keeping a Horcrux close to him was always a risk. Voldemort was not to be underestimated, and he might accidentally do something stupid.
And worst-case scenario, if he was ever caught with Voldemort's diary, all his previous actions would be exposed.
Reaching out to pick up the fang, as George was about to stab it into the diary, the diary suddenly began to shake, and a surge of dark magic waves surged towards George, seemingly trying to forcibly control him.
However, George only gave a cold laugh, and then a beam of light unique to light magic, emanating from within him, completely isolated that surge of dark magic wave outside.
"You will regret it! You will regret it!"
With Voldemort's resentful voice in the background, George stabbed the fang into the diary several times in succession.
Afterward, a small amount of fire that was neither warm nor cold appeared in his hand, and it burned the already destroyed diary to ashes.
Actually, fire that neither warms nor cools can also destroy Horcruxes.
After dealing with all of this, he fell into thought again, pondering what he should do over the two-month summer break.
If he just practiced magic in his store, it seemed like a waste, after all, he was no longer at Hogwarts and had fewer restrictions. There were many things he could do.
"Maybe, I should try to learn Apparition during this summer vacation."
He had thought about it before, during his encounter with Joseph, that he should make time to learn Apparition.
So that next time he encountered someone he couldn't beat, he could escape by Apparition.
After all, even in the Fairy Tail world, mages who could use teleportation magic were rare as hens' teeth.
