As for the chaos caused by the demon head in Dengzhou, it was resolved by Chen Yun.

"Unexpectedly, the small ones attracted the old ones. The King of Asuras Luohou and his subordinates, such as Xie Xiu and others, successively appeared."

Fortunately, Lü Zǔ bestowed boundless great laws and transformed a gigantic hand that concealed the sky and the sun to catch Tufo. Then he popped the virtual form of Luohou and invited Chen Yun to fight on Shengshan.

Chen Yun gathered up the scattered Qi pearls, joyfully looking forward, and they set off towards Mount Laojun.

Lü Zǔ, accompanied by his junior, transformed into a startled rainbow and arrived at the City of Immortals. Heading west, they entered the Buddhist world of Saha.

As Chen Yun first entered the world of Saha, he saw before him an endless, boundless universe, like the myriad stars in the night sky.

He was extremely shocked and asked, "Brother, are all these universes truly existent?"

    Lü Dòngbīn still responded.

Caught and ensnared, Cuifu spoke with considerable pride, "In our Buddhism, we govern the infinite Dharma realms of all ten directions and three times, with countless Buddhas. A Dharma realm is an area influenced by the Buddha's teaching, and the universe you see is but a small world."

Chen Yun bowed humbly and asked for instructions, "What are the ten directions, three times, and infinite great worlds? And what is a small world?"

Cuifu explained: "Mount Sumeru is located at the center of a small world, surrounded by the four great continents: the Eastern Paradise, the Western Paradise, the Southern Contemplation Continent, and the Northern Equilibrium Continent. There are also eight mountains and eight seas encircling it, with sun and moon illuminating within. Such a range is called a small world, boundless and infinite, which constitutes a universe. One thousand small worlds make up a middle world, and one thousand middle worlds make up a great world. The countless great worlds together form the ten directions and three times that our Buddhism governs, which is also known as the Saha world."

In this way, it seems that a great world contains ten billion small worlds.

And each small world is equivalent to a universe.

Yes, a great world is equivalent to ten billion universes.

That is not the most shocking.

The most shocking thing to Chen Yun was that Buddhism actually governed an infinite number of great worlds.

According to his understanding of the term "boundless," which is mentioned in the《Yanhua Sutra》, it is defined as ten to the power of 68.

Of course, he did not know whether the "boundless" mentioned by Cuifu referred to an unspecified number or an actual numerical value.

Whether it's a generic term or a specific number, Chen Yun was still profoundly shocked by the Buddhism's governance of the Saha world across ten directions and three times.

After all, there are so many universes, which are even more than the number of star systems I knew in my previous life.

The even more shocking result came.

Lü Dòngbīn said faintly, "The ten directions and three times Saha world of Buddhism is actually just a part of an entire monad world in the true world. A single monad world contains the Dharma form world, the world beyond the heavens, the boundless sky world, the cave heaven world, the secular world, and the underworld. So-called time and space are all contained within this monad world. Therefore, if you have not achieved the status of an immortal, in different times and parallel worlds, there will be your existence. It is only when you achieve the realm of an immortal that you will transcend the long river of time and leap out of all heavens and worlds as well as the five elements. Countless thousands-of-thousands monad worlds combine to form a complete yuan universe. Beyond countless thousands-of-thousands yuan universes lies the Hongmeng (primordial chaos) universe. It takes countless thousands-of-thousands Hongmeng universes to make up a complete universe, which is what we commonly refer to as all heavens and worlds."

Pausing here, he said, "As for the complete world, according to the teachings of Yuan Shi Tianzun, there are even more levels of worlds. The highest among them is the Great Will. When this Great Will rises to a single thought, it will evolve countless worlds that are of a higher level than all heavens and worlds. A single thought to extinguish it will also destroy countless worlds that are of a higher level than all heavens and worlds. Of course, whether it's true or not only three true supreme elders know. As an immortal who has not achieved the great elder realm, I am unable to probe into its mysteries."

Chen Yun was so bewildered he couldn't help but stare blankly.

He originally thought that Indian mythology was already as stacked as a box.

Unexpectedly, when he heard his senior brother's discussion today, Chen Yun only then realized that the true worldview is a thousand, ten thousand, or even countless times more magnificent than Indian mythology.

"Great Will?" Chen Yun had never heard this term before and cautiously asked, "Is it a level higher than the 'Tao'?"

Lü Dòngbīn, whose form turned into a startling rainbow light, was slowly breaking through numerous monad worlds and said quietly, "The 'Tao' we talk about is actually the world will of the complete Ten Thousand Worlds. If the Great Will truly exists, it is not even worth mentioning in comparison to the 'Tao'. Assuming that the Great Will is the heavens and earth, my world's world will may be just like a grain of sand or even less than a grain of sand."

By now, even someone of Lü Dòngbīn's cultivation cannot be sure if the "Great Will" truly exists.

Despite this, Chen Yun still had an incredible and profound interest in the "Great Will."

He really wants to know if there exists such a grand will above "Tao".

Suddenly, Lü Dòngbīn laughed coldly, "Cuifu, I ask you, was there someone who directed you and your subordinates to descend into the mortal world and cause chaos among the demons? If you sincerely tell me, I will not go to Mount Laojun today. Otherwise, I will definitely confront Siddhartha Gautama to verify this! Think about it well!"

Cuifu was certainly not going to tell the truth, "I truly do not know why my subordinates would dare to enter the mortal world without permission. As for why I…"

"Enough," Lü Dòngbīn interrupted. "I know you won't tell the truth. Go see Siddhartha Gautama!"

Chen Yun asked some puzzles, "Brother, according to the《Female Sky Goddess Law》, he violated the heavenly laws and should not be punished in a divided form. Why must he go to Mount Laojun?"

"The《Female Sky Goddess Law》 is the basis of the celestial laws of various 'Heavens'. Whether it's executed or not depends on the leaders of each 'Heaven'." Lü Dòngbīn explained in detail: "Zi Wei Taishou is revered as the Great Divine Emperor by all Ten Thousand Worlds and various 'Heavens', and ostensibly governs all Ten Thousand Worlds. In reality, Ten Thousand Worlds are like feudal states, each with its own autonomy. According to the agreement, my Daoist Heaven can't govern over five realms of Buddhism. Well, this 'five realms' is another concept, and I'm not explaining it to you for now. In short, if you want to punish this Asura, it needs the approval of Siddhartha Gautama Buddha, the patriarch of Saha."

After hearing this, Chen Yun dimly understood something.

According to Lü Dòngbīn's meaning, the《Female Sky Goddess Law》 was created by Lao Jun, but Lao Jun does not necessarily enforce its strictness on all Ten Thousand Worlds. The one who enforces the《Female Sky Goddess Law》 is the leader of each 'Heaven', such as Zi Wei Taishou of the Daoist Heaven, who strictly enforces heavenly laws, even if Chong Liushi is a high-ranking celestial. Even if you are a heavenly immortal, if you violate the taboo of the heavenly laws, they will still send heavenly soldiers and generals to capture you.

In contrast, Buddhism seems to be less strict in enforcing the《Female Sky Goddess Law》 as of now.

At least, the Asura under Cuifu's command has been causing trouble in the mortal world for so long, and Buddhism has yet to take action.

Chen Yun secretly pondered, perhaps Buddhism does not just simply fail to enforce the《Female Sky Goddess Law》 as simple as that.

This time, Cuifu's subordinates caused such terrible things in the mortal realm. It might be that Buddhism itself is staging the incident, and then its own actions destroyed it.

Suddenly, he looked at Cuifu and asked, "Cuifu General, if I don't go to Dunzhou to kill your subordinates, will it be until people are desperate to the extreme that Buddhist high priests who are about to achieve complete enlightenment will step forward and subdue your subordinates?"

When Chen Yun asked the question, Lü Dòngbīn's eyes showed admiration.

Cuifu's face changed instantly, and the next moment it returned to normal. He firmly denied, "The Buddha is solely dedicated to educating all creatures in the Ten Thousand Worlds. As his disciples, we have kind hearts. How could we do such a thing?"

Chen Yun never expected the other party to say him truthful things.

Seeing the change in Cuifu's expression, he had a dim understanding in his heart.

The so-called demon head causing chaos in Dengzhou is 99.99% likely to be a self-directed performance by Buddhism.

As for why Buddhism is acting in such a way, it is actually very easy to explain.

Now, the dominant entity of Ten Thousand Worlds is the Daoist Heaven.

Because of this, many deities in the Daoist Heaven are revered in the mortal world and receive the most offerings.

And the battle of becoming immortals often occurs in the "main world."

This explains that the faith and worship in the "main world" is the most important.

Although Buddhism governs an infinite number of great worlds across ten directions and three times, its worship in the "main world" is not abundant.

Therefore, Buddhism is just waiting for this period of turmoil in the world, to sow discord, cause some disasters, and then have their own people step in to resolve the disasters, thereby expanding their influence and gaining more offerings in the "main world."

At that moment, Chen Yun knew how brutal the competition for offerings was.

In this world, the power of Buddhism ranks second only to that of the Taoist, and they would act in such a manner.

It can be imagined that if other celestial powers were involved, they might act even more ruthlessly.

Chen Yun had just comprehended his Dao, which was to continue the learning of past sages and open peace for all generations.

Now, upon hearing the deities' actions in their quest for worship and faith, Chen Yun was suddenly filled with disgust.

When he was 16 years old, he entered the missionaries' observance and received education on the equality of all beings.

Following the normal food chain development, it is in line with nature.

But taking faith through cunning and force is a despicable act.

Fortunately, our Daoist religion has not done such things.

Chen Yun silently said in his heart that his faith had not collapsed yet.

If even the Daoist Heaven were to do such things, he feared that he might truly not be able to accept it.

After chatting for a while, the rainbow light has already pierced through countless monad worlds and arrived at the Lingjushan.

    ……

Lingjushan is also known as Ling Mountain.

It is the place where the Buddha lived.

Located on the third of the thirty-sixth heaven.

Here, the road leading to Caoxi is treacherous, the peaks of the eagle are shrouded in deep clouds, a thousand feet of ice cliffs, and five-petaled lotus flowers bloom. Ancient temples hang their curtains with fragrant smoke swirling.

Ling Mountain hangs in the center of the Saha World, boundless and limitless. Its radiance is boundless, and the fragrance of different kinds of flowers is everywhere.

In the sound of thunderous lightning, Buddha Shakyamuni, the patriarch of the Saha World, was sitting peacefully on an upper lotus throne.

Below him were 3,000 Buddha figures, 500 Arahants, eight Great Kings, and countless bodhisattvas.

Each one is holding a banner, parasol, and other treasures, with exotic flowers, arranged in the scenery of Ling Mountain.

The light of Buddha's relics filled the sky with forty-two white rainbows, north to south connecting.

Buddha Shakyamuni was preaching: "The five desires are harmful; though being an ordinary person, one should not be contaminated by worldly pleasures, and always remember the three robes..."

Heavenly flowers falling everywhere, golden lotus emerging from the earth.

All the Buddhas, Arahants, Great Kings, and Bodhisattvas listened as if they were entranced.

Suddenly, Buddha Shakyamuni seemed to have sensed something.

The sound of preaching abruptly stops.

He slightly tilted his head and looked towards the east.

The Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, seeing the Buddha's unusual expression, called out in reverence, "Oh Buddha Shakyamuni, why have you stopped preaching?"

All the Buddhas, Arahants, Great Kings, and Bodhisattvas turned their gaze towards the Buddha.

Buddha Shakyamuni sighed deeply, "The Buddhist door is unfortunate, to have a wicked disciple. Today's calamity is the fault of our disciples, well, let's call that Rahu, the old monk has something to tell Master Lü."

After saying this, Buddha Shakyamuni closed his eyes and sat there motionless as a mountain.

The Buddhas dare not disobey the Buddha's instructions and quickly send someone to summon Rahu.

For a moment, the atmosphere of Ling Mountain became still, as if time itself was frozen.
