How many times has she killed him?

The rotund figure of Lao Wen shot up in an instant upon opening his eyes, tightly locking the cockpit door.

Not just the door, but also the windows, and even the interior doors of the cockpit, were all locked.

Locked tight enough isn't enough, Lao Wen picked up all the heavy objects in the cockpit and piled them up tightly at the door, as if he was afraid that something would directly rush in from outside.

After doing everything that could be done, Lao Wen held a long knife in one hand, and the other hand touched the greasy and snow-white neck of his own, biting his lips unconsciously, nervously pacing up and down in the cabin.

    "Are you still here?"

In a somewhat agitated tone, he asked someone, "How many times is this! Has she boarded the ship yet!"

    "Quickly, say it!"

    "Fourth time."

A dim, dark flame materialized silently before Lao Wen, speaking in a voice that couldn't be discerned as male or female, cold and emotionless.

Thin red light swirled around the flame, constantly flashing, and each flash caused the flame to quiver once.

It seemed like a steaming, pulsating heart that had just been beating in someone's chest a moment ago.

    It's actually the fourth time!

He faintly remembered that his first death was on this rainy and stormy night.

He had received the news in advance and called for help from his brothers on the ship, but that woman still cleaved through layers of blades, pinpointing him with precision.

She pulled up her shirt collar and, after hacking herself for twenty-odd times, cut through her backbone with a single stroke before kicking herself into the sea with a kick.

The second time, he knew he was not the woman's match and chose to launch a surprise attack. He hid in the inner cabin, waiting for the final outcome.

Caught off guard, the woman was indeed injured, but she ghost-like leaped into the cabin through the window, one hand grabbing his back collar, the other aiming for his kidneys and stabbing him several times. Finally, she took a knife to cut off his head.

The last thing he saw was the woman's drooping eyelashes, and her casualness as she wiped the blood off her blade.

After another kick, his head and body plunged directly into the sea.

She killed him, yet she didn't even glance at him.

What the hell! Is she even human!

Each time, she stabs; each time, she chops!

It's so painful; can't she just make it quick and painless?

After killing him, he saw her smile!

Does it feel good to beat him to death? What kind of twisted special preferences does she have?

The delayed excruciating pain felt like an iron hammer piercing through his chest, and the fear of death surged directly to the top of his skull. Lao Wen strained every nerve to recall the details of the previous deaths; fundamentally, the failures in the first three attempts were due to underestimating her abilities. The fourth time...

Fuck the fourth time! I'm not playing anymore!

Lao Wen, who had lost all hope, gritted his teeth and said to the flaming ball, "I give up! I'm not playing anymore!"

What good is it knowing where the woman is? What use is it knowing she's coming to kill me?

    It's all doom!

He unconsciously tore at the dead skin on his fingers and turned around, ready to gather more brothers. This time, it wasn't for killing, but for escaping!

If I can't fight her, can't I at least run away?

The flame around Lao Wen flew around him once, as if confirming his expression and state.

["You are a murderer, she wants to kill you, and you can't escape."]

Upon hearing those words, Lao Wen's heart jolted, and his mind was on the verge of exploding. "Fucking bullshit! I can kill her! You know it wasn't me!"

The flame flew behind Lao Wen, asking in an eerie tone, "Don't you want to cure your daughter's illness?"

["You have the chance, kill her, and I'll grant you everything you wish."]

["The wealth and treasures beyond the reach of ordinary people, even the ability to roam the heavens like immortals, to live as long as the heavens and earth — if you kill her, I can offer you the entire world."]

["Are you really going to give up?"]

Lao Wen's lips were trembling, "Damn it! Shut up with your bullshit! You're an immortal, you're so powerful. Why don't you go kill her yourself?"

"Trying to play ball with me!"

"I'm not playing your damn ghost game!"

The memory of his third death still lingered in Lao Wen's mind. He learned from the two previous failures and approached her arrival with the same level of preparation as he would for a battle with another ship. They employed every weapon, spell, trap, and even ship cannons available on this vessel.

They also prepared poisoned food and drink on the ground where she was bound to pass, watching her eat them before taking action when the poison took effect.

He can't think of any better solution!

But then, the woman seemed to have eyes in the back of her head, sidestepping the blades and axes striking from behind, and with a flick of her wrist, she pierced the lung of the assailant with her chopsticks.

The candles in the room flickered, and Lao Wen, having gained experience from being killed before, shouted out at the first sign of the woman's attack, ordering his brothers to retreat.

Before starting the fight, Lao Wen had his brothers unravel the auxiliary boat. If the first attack failed, they were to retreat without hesitation and escape by signal immediately.

Fuck it! I'm done with this!

After shouting the signal, a dark wind brushed past his back, and Lao Wen stabbed himself in the back without looking around.

    Clang!

    His blade was repelled!

    "You know me."

The voice was cold, clear, and even slightly sinister.

Just as the voice fell, the woman kicked Lao Wen with her foot, sending him flying. The kick cracked his ribs and he crashed to the ground, spewing a large amount of blood.

The deck trembled as everyone scattered and ran away.

"I'm quite interested in the food you prepared. The dishes are a bit salty. I guess it's to mask the taste of the poison, or perhaps to make me drink water. Why did you put the poison in the wine?"

The woman didn't need his answer. She sauntered over to Lao Wen.

"You set up an ambush here because you knew I would come aboard from the sea; the food was warm because you knew I would come in at this time ... You prepared food that I like and poisoned it. After discovering that I didn't poison, you immediately sent a signal, and even blocked my knife."

The woman stepped on Lao Wen's head with one foot, curiously crushing it, "You're trembling."

Lao Wen was not just trembling; his entire body had turned pale and blue. Cold sweat burst from his pores, drenching a large area of the floor.

The woman narrowed her eyes, "Did I physically touch you before?"

Each word was like an arrow, directly penetrating Lao Wen's defenses. He was scared by her sharpness and scrambled to get away from under the woman's feet, struggling to escape.

"If I've laid hands on you, there's no way you can survive."

"But you not only lived, but dared to continue attacking me."

"Your courage matches the fatness of your appearance."

The woman suddenly vanished in place and appeared behind Lao Wen the next moment, bending down to pull his hair, holding his head firmly so that he had to look into her eyes, "Who gave you the courage?"

Lao Wen looked at her emotionless eyes, the gaze making him flash back to his past deaths. He cried out in horror, tears and snot streaming down his face, his mental defenses crumbling completely, "Kill me! Please! Just kill me with one blow! I beg you!"

    "Don't torture me anymore!"

    "I can't take it anymore!"

    "I'm done! I'm done!"

The woman observed Lao Wen's breakdown closely. As she lowered her eyelashes, there was a hint of gentleness in her gaze, "Again?"

    She precisely extracted the word.

"When have I ever tortured you? Why do you want me to kill you? Aren't you afraid of death?"

She paused, shifted her position to block the candlelight, and it seemed not by accident that she also blocked the flame that had been flickering around Lao Wen.

"No one isn't afraid of death, or do you have a way to escape death?"

    "Predict the future?"

"No, your dantian is empty. Even a divination cultivator wouldn't be foolish enough to stand against me."

    "Is someone helping you?"

The woman released Lao Wen's hair, stood up, and looked around, "From the beginning of this encounter, your gaze occasionally does not fall on me. What are you looking at?"

"Is the person or thing who is helping you here now?"

    Lao Wen involuntarily jumped.

What kind of monster is this woman?

How can she be so sharp!
