"But Professor Lupin, that's impossible. Hagrid couldn't be Peter Pettigrew, he can't be an Animagus."
Hermione similarly doesn't believe it, but her disbelief isn't based on her trust in spots, but rather her knowledge base.
"After learning about Animagi from Professor McGonagall's class, I looked up the relevant information while doing my homework."
The Ministry of Magic keeps records of all wizards who can transform into animals, with a special register showing what animals they can transform into, and other markings.
"I checked the register and found Professor McGonagall listed there; she can transform into a cat. In this century, there have been only seven recorded Animagi, and the register does not include any names of Peter Pettigrews."
"Because at that time, after we learned how to become Animagi, we didn't go to register."
"Lupin transformed into a large black dog using Animagus powers, and then quickly changed back."
"But that doesn't prove that Spot is Peter Pettigrew either."
Ron still didn't believe, and Harry's face was full of hesitation.
Hermione took a deep breath:
"Professor, I've been helping you hide the truth, but now I have to say it. You're a werewolf and you've been helping Sirius speak up. It's going to be hard for me to believe anything you say anymore."
"What, a werewolf?"
Ron and Harry's faces showed shocked expressions.
Lupin was clearly also somewhat surprised:
"How long have you known?"
"Long ago."
Hermione replied:
"Since Professor Snape assigned that essay on werewolves, I've noticed."
"Professor Snape should be pleased, he assigned that essay in the hope that someone would consider my symptoms to mean something."
Did you also look up the lunar phases and find that my symptoms always occur during a full moon?
Or did you discover that the Boggart transformed into a moon when it saw me?
"All found." Hermione said softly.
Lupin managed a weak smile:
"You're the cleverest young witch I've ever known, Hermione."
"Lupin, this is not the time for this. Someone's coming, and I can't be caught before I kill that rat."
Sirius felt that there were quite a few witches and wizards approaching from the distance, preparing to leave here.
And at this moment, George finally spoke up:
"Since you're innocent, there's no need to run anymore. Just wait for the headmaster and the others to come over and everything will be explained."
"Absolutely not. They won't believe me unless they catch Peter Pettigrew. They'll just throw me in Azkaban directly."
Sirius transformed into the black dog and turned to run towards the Whomping Willow.
But George couldn't let him leave:
"Stupefy!"
Pointing a hand at the back of Sirius, he conjured a Stupefy spell that shot towards him.
"It's an incantation without a wand, it's silent!"
Seeing George, without a wand, manage to cast a spell so quickly, Professor Lupin was shocked at once, and then he cast a similar spell at George.
"Stupefy!"
He believes Dumbledore will hold justice, but today is the last day of the ultimate wizardry exam, and there are still Ministry officials in the school.
If Sirius were caught at this moment, even if Dumbledore was willing to believe him, the Ministry officials wouldn't.
So now, we have to knock down the three George first, then take them away, and wait for the Ministry officials to leave tomorrow. Then, we'll go find Sirius and report the situation to Dumbledore and discuss the next steps.
However, before his Stupefy spell could hit George, he was knocked away by George waving his hand.
"Sorry, Professor Lupin, I can't believe what you're saying just yet."
"So, you're going to have to do without your wand for a bit."
George reached out and deflected Professor Lupin's Stupefy spell, and then cast a Disarm spell faster than Lupin could react. He took his wand away, followed by two more spells in quick succession.
"Lock Lame! Bind quickly!"
Professor Lupin was suspended in the air, then his hands were bound with ropes, preventing him from casting spells anymore.
Incantation without a wand is not done without any action at all, it also requires some hand gestures to work.
It's just much simpler than casting with complex hand gestures, and it's not slower than casting with a wand, but of course, the power is significantly less.
High-level wizards like Professor Lupin can naturally perform spells without a wand, but when their hands are bound and they're suspended in the air, they're out of luck.
George is different, he has already integrated the spell-casting methods of the Harry Potter world magic system and Fairy Tail world magic system, even without a wand, his magic power will not be reduced.
Moreover, due to his current strength, even if he were to use only the magic of this world, his spell-casting speed and power would be much stronger than that of a high-level wizard like Professor Lupin.
Not even Dumbledore would be his match.
In terms of his research into the magic of this world, he is not as good as Dumbledore. In terms of his speed and power in casting spells, Dumbledore is far behind him.
If we add his use of magic from other worlds to the mix, that's even more so. Transforming into a dragon or something like that, the whole world wouldn't stand a chance against him.
However, he has no intention of conquering the world through force, there's no need for that. What he needs is to gradually improve his magic level in this peaceful and friendly environment.
Why become a legendary wizard and be remembered by the world if he has to become a big villain and be despised by everyone? He has teachers and friends in this world, not something he can easily leave behind.
"You've reached such a level of magical proficiency. No wonder the Headmaster agreed to let you graduate early."
Lupin looked at his bound hands and the tone of his voice was full of wonder.
He knew George was powerful, otherwise he wouldn't have participated in the ultimate wizardry exam in second year, but he didn't expect him to be this powerful.
He had already raised his opinion of George several notches after witnessing him subdue Sirius, but only after experiencing it firsthand did he understand just how terrifying George's combat skills were.
He had no chance to defend himself, it was as if he was facing Dumbledore.
"But, we really didn't lie to you, it's not the right time yet. You let Black hide first, then we'll go see Dumbledore once the Ministry officials are gone."
"George, don't listen to him; the headmaster and the others are coming."
Hermione and the other two didn't expect George to be this powerful. He defeated Sirius and Professor Lupin in an instant without a wand.
However, it was not the time for astonishment because they could see the silhouettes of Professor Dumbledore and other professors, as well as Ministry examiners in the distance.
"Don't worry, as long as you haven't lied, there won't be any trouble today."
George smiled at Lupin and removed Sirius's Animagus transformation with a flick of his hand.
He certainly wouldn't let Sirius be sent to Azkaban again, but first, he needed to take the credit for capturing the fugitive Sirius.
