“Evan George, this is the ring my father gave me when I left Valinor, and today I am giving it to you.
"From now on, if you have any problems and need help, no matter how difficult it may be, I will always be there to assist you. This is my promise to you!"
Finrod took off one of his rings and solemnly handed it to Evan George.
The ring was shaped like two intertwined snakes, each with eyes set in emeralds. Their heads met, one supporting from above and the other enclosing from below, together holding up a golden crown which was the emblem of the House of Finarfin.
"It's quite fitting for someone from the Slytherin house, it seems I will only have the Evan George ring from now on."
George did not refuse and took the ring, putting it on his finger.
"It seems, it is not an ordinary ring!"
The moment Evan George put the ring on his finger, he knew it was not just an ordinary ring, but a magical one, imbued with some power of holy trees. At the same time, it could also serve as a substitute for a magic wand.
The effect should be far superior to that of an elven sword.
He has great faith in the vow that Evan George made with his ring.
Because if he remembers correctly, Barahir's son Beren, to marry the daughter of Turgon, Lúthien, took the ring to find up Finrod, letting him go find Morgoth steal Elves gem.
Fully aware that it was a suicide mission, the noble Finrod, with ten elves by his side, abandoned his throne and went to Angmar with Beren. Tragically, he died in the hands of Sauron before they even reached their destination.
"I fear that Prince Second and Prince Third will not be able to hold out much longer, we must return to reinforce them at once."
Evan George accepted the ring, took up Sauron's sword, and spoke to Finrod.
The elven stone giants he conjured with his shape-shifting spell were, after all, just stone; they could not possibly stand against a dragon, and he estimated they wouldn't last long.
Therefore, if we don't return in time, the middle line of defense may well be breached.
"Bardu led a small group of men to High King's house in Hisaron to inform him of our situation and instruct him to send troops to defend this gorge as quickly as possible. It is best if Finarfin himself leads reinforcements from the center, while the rest of us continue on to Gorthu."
Finrod nodded and quickly issued the commands.
Finarfin was his cousin and the strongest of their generation.
He thought that if Finarfin went one-on-one with Sauron, he would likely not lose.
Sauron's western army had been significantly weakened by them, so it was estimated that there would be no need for extensive defense. Just a few people needed to be left here at the gorge to block the front line would suffice.
What is most important now is to gather all our forces to support the middle and western fronts, and prevent Morgoth's army from breaking through the three-layered encirclement.
"Time is running out, Prince First, I am skilled in spatial magic and will teleport you there first."
It took him half an hour to fly there, while it would take the elves almost an hour and a half to ride there at full speed.
To be on the safe side, let him take Evan George and Finarfin, who are the most powerful, and use the Enchantment of Invisibility to quickly return to the Elven city to assist in defense.
"Alright, let's get moving!"
Of course, Finrod had no objection; he was also very concerned about the safety of his two younger brothers.
So he gave a few orders to his subordinates and disappeared with Evan George right there.
After several times using the Enchantment of Invisibility, they arrived at the upper air of Gorthu Elven City.
At this moment, the Elven city was engulfed in flames. Compared to when George left, the number of light elves was less than a third, and the number of human warriors was fewer than two hundred.
The elven statues made of white stone had been shattered, Angrod and Egnor were engaged in a fierce battle with the dragon.
Brethil, Barahir, and the human warriors were coordinating with the rest of the elves, using less than half of the city wall to fend off attacks from both Morgoth's forces and the Orcs.
"First, kill the dragon! The dragon is the commander of the central army. If the dragon dies, the army will definitely retreat!"
George, with Evan George, directly charged towards the dragon.
Sauron had escaped, this dragon couldn't let him get away. He was hoping to use the dragon's body to make some dragon crystals for this world, hoping to become a Dragon Slayer.
Angrod and Egnor were clearly much weaker than their older brother Finrod. Even together, they were no match for the dragon, who had shattered more than half of their armor.
If they had come any later, they might have only been able to come to collect the bodies of Angrod and Egnor.
"Die, dragon!"
Evan George threw Finrod from the air towards the dragon, holding his enchanted sword ready to strike the dragon's head.
Sensing danger, the dragon immediately abandoned his attack on Angrod and Egnor and shot a bolt of fire towards Finrod. Without another word, it turned around and fled.
He could sense that the awakened light elf was very powerful. Though he felt confident in his chances of winning, out of caution he chose to retreat, leaving the fire demons and orcs to take the brunt of the attack.
"You really are something."
Seeing the dragon flee so quickly, George was speechless. This guy really knew how to value his life.
The reason is that though the dragon is powerful, it is actually a creature created by Morgoth, just like the orcs. Once dead, it's truly dead.
Unlike the Fire demons, the last ones would return to Eternal Space.
"Enchantment of Invisibility!"
He couldn't let the fat in his mouth escape; he instantly teleported himself above the dragon, his form rapidly swelling.
"Giant spell!"
His body expanded to thirty meters in height, landing on the dragon's neck and using the electricity inside him to further strengthen his flesh. With both hands clasped tightly, he slammed down on the dragon's head, burying it deep into the ground.
The dragon was momentarily stunned by this sudden blow from the sky, pulling its head out of the ground and shaking it before attempting to breathe fire at George who was riding on its neck.
George, on the other hand, was holding onto the dragon's neck tightly, preventing it from turning around and breathing fire at him.
The dragon Glaurung's magic resistance was probably higher than Sauron's, and George feared that the magical attack might not be effective. He didn't want to let it get away again.
So, he decided to use his enhanced strength from the giant spell and engage in a close-quarters battle with the dragon.
Of course, even so, compared to the 200-meter-long dragon, George might not be able to gain the upper hand.
But it's okay. The saying goes that he is not the main attacker, he is playing a supporting role. He is not fighting alone; there are three elven princes wielding Elven Swords, fighting fiercely.
So his main task was to keep the dragon tightly controlled, to prevent it from getting an opportunity to escape like Sauron did.
George's control over Sauron was mainly magical, but now he was purely physical control over the dragon.
"Damn humans!"
Seeing that he couldn't shake off George riding on his neck, and with the three elven princes now approaching, the dragon decided to ignore George and carry him away in a desperate flight.
"Damn it, lay down!"
George rolled over in front of the dragon, hugging its massive head, and kneeing it in the jaw to close its mouth, preventing it from breathing fire. Then he flipped over and clamped his legs around the dragon's neck for a bear hug.
"For the honor of the Elven race!"
Before the dragon could react, the three Elven princes had swung their holy swords and chopped towards the dragon's neck simultaneously.
Meanwhile, George returned to his normal size and dodged past.
The blood of the dragon contains deadly poison. If it were to splash on them, it would be a problem.
Three holy swords, glowing with golden light, combined to form a massive sword of light. With one swing, it severed the dragon's head.
Thus, the first dragon bred by Morgoth, which had just appeared on the scene for less than a day, came to an end.
