The next morning, George and Professor X exchanged a greeting, and then appeared by apparition at Tony's mansion door.
"Good morning, Mr. George. The professor is already waiting for you in the laboratory."
The camera at the door scanned George before it rotated back, and Jarvis's voice came through. The iron gate creaked open slowly.
George nodded, then walked back into Tony's mansion.
Since Obadiah led mercenaries to break into the mansion and killed a large number of bodyguards there, Tony has not hired any bodyguards since then.
Happy, his only driver and bodyguard, also remained at the Stark Tower as the head of security, responsible for protecting Pepper Potts' safety.
In Tony's view, if the enemies can't even take him down, those bodyguards are just sacrifices of a few lives.
As he walked through the foyer and into the basement laboratory, he saw Tony working on a serious design sketch for a new suit.
It has to be said that although Tony is a playboy and sometimes doesn't take things seriously, he has never been careless in his work.
Even after a passionate night with the most beautiful actress in Hollywood, as soon as he has an idea, Tony would immediately get up and head to the lab.
"George, you're here. The five sets of what you need have been finished overnight for you."
"George, you're here. I finished five sets of the things you need last night," Tony said, putting down the design sketch and pointing to a large box next to him as George walked into the lab.
George stepped forward and collected the various alloy wands from the box into his own case, pondered for a moment, then turned to Tony and asked:
"Tony, after you handed over the group to Pepper Potts, aren't you usually quite idle?"
"Yes, I've got a lot more free time now. I think it's quite good; it allows me more time to research and develop new energy sources and upgrade my armor."
Tony let his intelligent robotic arm clumsily pour himself a glass of red wine. He finally didn't have to drink that damn green juice anymore.
Since confirming his relationship with Pepper Potts, he hasn't gone around flirting with women, nor does he have to worry about running the company. As long as he can focus on his research and occasionally step out to deal with terrorist threats.
"Honestly, there are times when I still feel a bit bored."
"Would you be interested in coming to our school occasionally to give lessons to the kids, acting as a part-time teacher? Logan has been constantly pestering me to have a drink with you."
During this period, George has given it some serious thought.
Thanos will definitely launch an attack on Earth with his cosmic army to collect the Infinity Stones.
So it seems he can also make some preparations in advance.
Nick Fury wanting to assemble the Avengers to resist potential crises is not a bad thing.
It's not a bad thing for Nick Fury to want to form the Avengers to counter potential crises. After all, if Earth is destroyed, he won't fare any better than the teachers and students at his school.
So he doesn't intend to prevent the formation of the Avengers.
But, it cannot be allowed for Nick Fury or the government to take the lead in forming the Avengers. Otherwise, before we even fight Thanos, there's a chance they might gather to deal with him, this unbound individual.
He can gather these superheroes around himself, and they can still be used to fight Thanos in the end.
He can gather these superheroes around him, centered on himself, and then use them to fight against Thanos as well. In fact, when Thanos led his cosmic army to attack Earth, what role did the government play? What role did Nick Fury play?
No, not really. Oh, calling Captain Marvel back via walkie talkie counts as one, but that was after the event had already concluded.
There wasn't much. Oh, calling Captain Marvel back with a pager counts as one, but that was after the fact. Now's the perfect opportunity; their school is hiring teachers, and Captain America and the Hulk have already joined. And since he already has a connection with Tony, he can bring him on board too.
He can go and help Thor a few days later, and most of the original Avengers would already be on his ship.
In a couple of days, I'll help out Sol; most of the original Avengers will be on his ship by then. In the future, I can recruit more students and teachers, nurture them well. Who knows? When Thanos leads his cosmic army to attack, he might not even have to show up himself; just the teachers and students from his school could beat Thanos into submission.
Actually, there's no need to be too deliberate or wasteful with time. Sometimes it's just a matter of doing what's convenient.
"Jack Wolf wants to have a drink with me, okay, but being asked to teach a group of kids, it seems a bit strange."
Tony received George's invitation and his face immediately showed a look of interest, but being proud, he was reluctant to agree immediately.
Just because he seems to be popular and successful on the outside, it doesn't mean he has many true friends.
Look, despite his grand appearance, Tony has few close friends. Rhodey counts as one, Happy counts as half, and Eric counts as one due to their shared hardships.
Rhode is busy with official duties and rarely sees us, Happy is assigned to protect Pepper, and Bruce is back home providing free medical care to poor people in his hometown.
George and Root, in his heart, he has already considered them two as friends.
George and Logan, deep down, he considers them friends as well. But these two haven't told him the location of their school or invited him to visit, clearly still holding some reservations about him, which has left a slight grudge in his heart.
Since George has proposed for him to become a part-time teacher today, that indicates how much trust he has in him. His little hesitation has vanished.
"Don't you have any confidence?"
George directly provoked him with words.
Tony, unable to bear the insult, loudly declared:
Tony, unable to stand such an affront, bellowed back, "Who do I think I am? I'm Tony Stark, graduated summa cum laude from MIT at seventeen, I've attended countless lectures at top universities! Do you really think I can't teach those little brats at your school?"
"Okay, do you have any interest in visiting our school now?"
George shrugged.
Tony nodded.
Tony nodded: "Let's go, now."
George immediately grabbed Tony and apparitioned them to the Mutant School.
"I think next time, it's better for me to come flying in my armor."
Tony dry-heaved twice and muttered, "I think next time, it's better for me to come flying in my armor."
For the first time experiencing phasing, the feeling of being squeezed out like a slime from a rubber tube wasn't all that comfortable.
"I'll send you the coordinates later. Next time, you can come on your own, but remember to bring this."
George tossed a glass sphere to Tony.
Tony picked up the small sphere and examined it.
Tony took the small ball and looked at it: "What is this?"
"This is a ball filled with my energy. I set up a special barrier outside the school, only those carrying this ball can see it and enter without being affected by the barrier."
George explained for a moment and then led him around the school.
Tony didn't have to go far before he encountered Banner and Betty.
"Good morning, Banner and Betty. Did you sleep well last night?"
"Good morning, Professor, good morning. It's the first time I've slept so soundly without worrying about transforming."
Banner replied with a smile.
"This is Banner and Betty, our new teachers. "
This is Banner and Betty, the new teachers at our school. This is Tony; you met yesterday.
George introduced the two to each other.
"Glad to meet you, Dr. Banner. I've read some of your papers on positronics; they're quite impressive."
Tony patted Banner on the shoulder, an uncommonly friendly gesture for someone he had just met.
"Thank you!"
Banner gave a polite, slightly embarrassed smile.
