Mowenjie, carrying his bag, walked firmly in the forefront, his handsome face with a hint of determination. Behind him were seven women with different styles and charm - Huang Ling'er's slender figure graceful and ethereal; Jiang Yu was beautiful and alluring, her smile and frown able to captivate hearts; Xiao Yawen was high-minded and elegant, like a blooming orchid; Ding Yan was lively and cute, like a agile deer; Tuoba Yingyin was wild and unrestrained, full of foreign flavor; Qin Xiaodie was charming, like a flower blooming in spring; Cao Chunling was gentle and virtuous, just like the tranquil lake water. Finally there was the mysterious Jin Cankui Fairy. She emanated a faint aura of immortality around her body. People dared not approach her easily. This group walked slowly along the winding mountain path, laughter and chatter filling the air along the way as if adding much liveliness to this quiet forest.
Huang Ling'er suddenly asked Mowenjie, "In this Seven Realms, do you think we'll be targeted by the Four Heavenly Kings?"
Huang Ling'er suddenly asked, "Mr. Mowenjie, will the Four Heavenly Kings treat us unfavorably in the Seven Heavens?"
Mo Wenjie shook his head. According to legend, the Southern Dharma Guardian of the Four Heavenly Kings does not just excel in his duties. He must seek daily improvement. Progress or regress! The times are always advancing. Therefore, the Southern Dharma Guardian teaches us: Our cultivation must grow, our virtues must improve, and so must our knowledge, wisdom, talent, and ability - including our living standards that should be raised every day. Look! The Buddhist door is not lagging behind! The Buddhist door is truly talking about progress and is always standing at the forefront of the times; it is not following the times but leading them forward.
In the epic novel "Shao Xing Yong Ju," the Southern Dharma Guardian is called Magic Rite Qing, who is in charge of the magical treasure Cloud Rank Sword. He is given the task to attack Xizhi and is ultimately killed by Diao Xinzhen, which was released by Huang Tianhua.
Magic Rite Qing was two and four zhang tall, with a face like a living crab and copper-colored whiskers. He wielded a long spear and fought on foot without a horse. He had a treasure sword handed down by secret transmission, named 'Cloud Rank Sword.' The sword had an inscription of symbols, divided into four characters: 'Earth, Water, Fire, Wind.' This wind was the dark wind with thousands of spears within. Anyone encountering this blade would be shredded into finely chopped meat; as for the fire, golden snakes swirled through the air and black smoke filled the ground, obscuring eyes and burning people intensely without any protection.
"Cultivating and growing" is the interpretation of the Chinese Buddhist community for "Southern Growth King." This name is given because this deity is believed to be able to transmit orders to all living beings, foster good roots, protect the teachings, and therefore, is called the King of Southern Growth.
Offering: Hold the eight precepts, burn three incense sticks in the morning and evening each day, and worship and offer on the ten fasting days.
It is generally believed that this King supports Mount Sumeru, dressed in armor and holding a wisdom sword to protect the Mahayana Buddhist teachings. The King guards the Southern Hemisphere. This King can enable virtuous beings to increase wisdom and roots, and the wisdom sword in his hand can cut off all afflictions and increase wisdom.
Mo Wenjie said with determination, "Please be at ease, everyone! Southern Growth King will never attack us. It's important to remember that they symbolize wind and rain and harmony. These four Kings have always been guardians of peace in the world and blessings for the people. As ordinary mortals, we are definitely not in their range of concern. He paused, then continued, "Southern Growth King wields a magical sword. The sharp blade is not meant to harm innocent people, but to cut through evil and calamity. Their mission is to ensure that this world has wind and rain in balance, allowing people to live peacefully and enjoy a quiet and harmonious life. Therefore, there's no need for anyone to worry or be afraid."
Hearing Mo Wenjie say this, Jiang Yu and Xiao Yawen, along with the others, finally felt at ease.
Mo Wenjie was walking forward with Huang Ling'er, Jiang Yu, Xiao Yawen, Ding Yan, Tuoba Yingyin, Qin Xiaodie, Cao Chunling and the mysterious Jin Cankui Fairy. Suddenly, an invisible pressure surged forward from the front like a tempest that swept through. This pressure was powerful and terrifying as if it could crush any obstacle in its path. The group instantly felt a pressure they had never experienced before and their breathing became rapid.
Mo Wenjie's brow furrowed, and his vigilance shot up. He circulated the spiritual energy within his body and shouted, "Be careful, everyone! Let's form a defensive formation first." The women responded immediately, each deploying their magic arts, their spiritual energy converging into a protective barrier.
At this moment, the mist in front dissipated, revealing a giant statue. Mo Wenjie examined closely and found that it was the statue of the Southern Growth King. However, this statue seemed to have been corroded by evil forces and emitted a dark aura.
Mo Wenjie thought to himself, "Could my previous judgment have been wrong? But now is not the time to dwell on it. He took a step forward and bowed, saying, "Junior Mo has no intention of offending the King's grandeur. I am unaware of why I have been subjected to such pressure? If we have offended, please enlighten us."
The statue remained motionless, but the pressure grew stronger. The Golden Silkworm Fairy whispered, "This statue seems to be out of control; we may have to break it forcibly." Mo Wenjie gritted his teeth, drew the sword from his waist, and the blade shone with radiant light. "I apologize!" he said before charging towards the statue, with everyone following closely behind.
As Mo Wenjie's eyes focused, he waved his sword violently towards the giant statue's eye! In that instant, time seemed to freeze, and everyone held their breath, closely watching his movements.
A crisp sound accompanied the precise insertion of the sword tip into the statue's eye. Following this, a shocking scene unfolded - cracks began to form innumerously within the statue, spreading like a spider web and rapidly enveloping the entire structure. In an instant, the colossal statue collapsed with a resounding crash, breaking down into scattered rubble scattered across the ground.
At the same time, the strong pressure that had previously enveloped everyone dissipated suddenly, leaving no trace. They all reacted with a moment of stunned silence before breathing a collective sigh of relief. The tensed nerves finally relaxed. However, despite temporarily escaping the crisis, each person couldn't help but feel a surge of new doubts and unease in their hearts.
What was the reason for this mysterious statue to suddenly emit such a terrifying pressure? And what secrets does it conceal that are unknown to people? What mechanism or force was triggered by Mo Wenjie's sword strike that led to the statue being easily destroyed? The doubts lingered in everyone's mind, causing them concern and suspicion about their upcoming journey. However, no matter what, the road had to be walked. Thus, with their spirits regained, they took another step forward, continuing towards the unknown ahead.
The group had not gone very far when strange glimmers appeared in the grass along the path. Mo Wenjie signaled for everyone to stop and cautiously approached to investigate. It was a spirit pearl emitting a dim glow, covered in ancient inscriptions.
The Golden Silkworm Fairy bent close to take a closer look and exclaimed, "This seems to be an ancient seal of a god, perhaps related to the statue we just saw."
Just as Mo Wenjie reached out to touch the spirit pearl, the surroundings suddenly changed. They found themselves in an unfamiliar space, surrounded by misty clouds and faint growling sounds.
"Not good, it looks like we've triggered some kind of restriction." Mo Wenjie tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword.
At this moment, some blurred images appeared in the sky, showing scenes from when Southern Growth King fought demons in the past. It turned out that the statue was infested by evil spirits due to the lingering essence of demons. Mo Wenjie's sword strike had coincidentally broken a critical juncture in sealing away the demon's lingering essence.
While the group was in shock, a dark silhouette surged out of the thick mist. Mo Wenjie drew his sword to meet the attack, and the women also employed various tactics. After a fierce battle, they successfully dispersed the black shadow, and the surrounding scene returned to normal.
"Evidently, the road ahead will become increasingly perilous, filled with uncertainty and challenges, but no matter what, we must explore the truth!" Mo Wenjie stood in place, slightly narrowing his eyes, gazing into the distant horizon. His eyes reflected an indomitable resolve and determination. The people beside him heard this and looked at each other before nodding in agreement without saying a word, acknowledging Mo Wenjie's words.
Without any hesitation, they took another step forward, resolutely walking along the rough and uneven path. Each of them held a belief, a tenacious pursuit of truth and their goals. Although there might be countless difficulties and dangers ahead, they had made full preparations and were willing to overcome all obstacles with their courage and wisdom.
The sun shone down on Mo Wenjie and the others, casting long shadows on their bodies. It seemed to witness their fearless journey. The wind blew across their faces, bringing a slight chill, but it could not cool down the burning passion within them. They walked step by step, gradually disappearing into the distance in front of them……
They continued on for a while and arrived at a valley. The air within the valley was filled with a pale purple mist, and faintly, melodious music could be heard. Mo Wenjie grew alert, noticing that the faces of the women beside him were slowly flushing with contentment.
The Golden Silkworm Fairy quickly used her magic to protect the group's minds, whispering, "There's something strange about this smoke and music."
Mo Wenjie stepped forward first to explore the valley. He found an ancient stone platform in the valley, with a jade box placed on it. As he approached the jade box, a group of puppet-like humanoids appeared and attacked them.
The group fought back vigorously. While Mo Wenjie battled the humanoid puppets, he also pondered on a way to break the curse. He noticed that the movements of the humanoids were controlled by the inscriptions on the stone platform, so he leapt onto the stone platform and attempted to destroy the inscriptions.
Under the cover of the women's protection, Mo Wenjie successfully shattered the inscriptions, and the humanoid puppets instantly stopped moving. He opened the jade box to reveal a transparent pill and a scroll of ancient texts. The texts revealed that this place was once a realm where an immortal practiced, and the pill was a treasure he refined, capable of enhancing one's power.
Mo Wenjie stood in place, tightly gripping the precious pill in his hand. He gazed at his teammates, casting his gaze over each of their faces, silently thinking about who among them would be the most suitable user of this pill.
After much contemplation, Mo Wenjie finally made up his mind. He slowly walked towards Cao Chunling, gently placing the pill in her palm, and said solemnly, "Take this pill. I believe that with your abilities and potential, you will be able to fully harness its power and greatly enhance the strength of our entire team!"
Cao Chunling took the pill, her eyes shining with surprise and gratitude. The others sent her congratulatory and encouraging smiles, expressing their recognition and support for this decision.
The group smiled at each other, and the mutual understanding and trust between them seemed to deepen further. Then, they packed up their belongings and set off again on the long journey ahead, filled with unknown challenges. Each person carried hope and courage, ready to face whatever obstacles lay ahead.
