Above the distant and mysterious continent, Mo Wenjie and his companions— the beautiful and moving Huang Ling'er, the gentle and graceful Jiang Yu Rou, the heroic Xiao Ya Wen, the lively and lovely Ding Yan, the generous and open-minded Tuobayiyingying, the quick-witted and intelligent Qin Xiaodie, the dignified and stable Cao Chunling—and that divine maiden with her magical power of the golden silkworm, embarked on an adventure filled with danger and challenge.
On this day, they encountered a gigantic and fearsome beast. It lunged at the crowd with claws and fangs bared, spewing blazing inferno from its mouth, inspiring shivers of terror. Yet, despite the terrifying foe before them, Mo Wenjie and his companions showed no signs of retreat.
Mo Wenjie held a razor-sharp sword, charging towards the beast first. His agile figure was as swift as a swan, and his swordsmanship as fierce as a gale, each slash striking the beast's vital points with precision. Huang Ling'er danced with her long whip, resembling a nimble venomous snake, tightly wrapping around the beast's limbs to restrict its movements.
Jiang Yu Rou lightly waved her sleeves, and unleashed a series of brilliantly colorful magical lightnings. These lightnings rained down like droplets, striking the beast and causing it immense pain. Xiao Ya Wen held a long spear, its tip glinting with cold light. She struck the beast's abdomen with thunderous force again and again.
Ding Yan took advantage of her nimble moves, weaving through the beast's surroundings, leaping and occasionally hurling a variety of dark weapons to distract the beast's attention. Tuobayiying waved a pair of giant axes, with each swing sending an ear-piercing wind and tremendous force. Qin Xiaodie employed illusions to momentarily confuse the beast, providing her companions with more opportunities to strike.
Cao Chunling stood at the rear, silently reciting incantations to cast enhancing spells on her teammates, boosting their attack and defense powers. The Golden Silkworm Fairy, however, unleashed her signature ability, summoning numerous golden silkworm larvae that rapidly climbed onto the beast's body and began gnawing at its tough exoskeleton.
After a fierce battle, the group, united and unwavering, successfully vanquished the mighty beast. The battlefield was shrouded in smoke and dust, yet the faces of Mo Wenjie and his companions beamed with the joy of victory. This encounter not only showcased their courageous spirit and exceptional strength but also bore witness to the deep bonds of friendship and harmonious synergy among them.
Mo Wenjie stepped forward, looking at his companions with admiration and said, "Today's battle, all thanks to you all." The group smiled at each other. Suddenly, the ground began to shake violently, and an ancient and cryptic aura slowly rose. The group became alert as a stone door emitting a dim glow slowly rose from the ground.
"Great secrets or dangers may lie within," said the Golden Silkworm Fairy. Taking a deep breath, Mo Wenjie firmly said, "Since we've reached this point, let's go in and take a look." Thus, the group cautiously pushed open the stone door. Inside, golden light shimmered; once it faded away, a massive formation appeared before them, with a peculiar energy orb suspended at its center.
Just as the group was puzzled, the space around them began to distort, and countless illusions appeared, all scenes from their previous battles. It turned out that this gemstone was a Memory Jade, recording significant events that had occurred on this continent. Mo Wenjie realized that it might be the key to enhancing their abilities, and the group sat together, ready to explore the profound secrets of cultivation and embark on a new journey by utilizing the power within the gemstone.
With eyes closed, the group concentrated their thoughts to establish a connection with the Memory Jade. In an instant, a torrent of immense information flooded into their minds. Visions of unfamiliar yet awe-inspiring scenes flickered by—images of ancient masters practicing and ascending to higher realms, alongside details of a forgotten martial art technique. Mo Wenjie's heart stirred, and he attempted to channel energy according to the postures depicted in the visions. The others followed suit. As time passed, a faint glow began to envelop the group.
Suddenly, a dark shadow burst out of the jade, transforming into an evil specter. "You dare to seize the power of the Memory Jade! This power belongs only to me!" the specter roared as it unleashed an attack. Mo Wenjie shouted loudly, leading the group in counterattack. They infused the newfound power into their moves, causing a brilliant display of light. The specter gradually grew weary and, after a reluctant roar of fury, it vanished.
Following this encounter, everyone felt their cultivation had greatly improved. Mo Wenjie stood up, with a firm gaze, and said, "We have gained the opportunity. Now we must explore deeper secrets of this continent and uphold righteousness in the world." The group answered in unison, then stepped forward confidently into the depths of the stone door to face new challenges and opportunities.
Suddenly, a large bird appeared in the sky, drawing closer to Mo Wenjie and her companions. It spoke, revealing itself to be a useless cultivator who had ascended to the heavens but dared to defy the Queen Mother's command—such an ignoramus, truly without a sense of life or death!
At this time, Mo Wenjie also recognized the large bird. It was actually a three-legged Qingniǎo!
The Qingniǎo is a three-legged celestial bird, regarded in legends as the messenger of the Western Queen Mother. In the mortal realm, people cannot personally meet her, so they can only hope to see her again on Penglai Island, a sacred mountain in the heavens. However, the path to Penglai Island is difficult to traverse, and thus people rely on Qingniǎo to deliver letters.
According to legend, whenever the Western Queen Mother arrives, it is always the Qingniǎo that first brings news. The Qingniǎo is considered a messenger for conveying messages, and it possesses mystical power. In the "Shānhuāzǐ" of the Southern Tang dynasty's ruler Zhongwu, it is written: "Qīngniǎo does not pass on messages from the clouds outside; Dìnghuáng only forms rainy day worries."
Mo Wenjie looked at the eight women before him—Huang Ling'er, Jiang Yu Rou, Xiao Ya Wen, Ding Yan, Tuobayiyingying, Qin Xiaodie, Cao Chunling, and the Golden Silkworm Fairy—with a serious expression. He took a deep breath and slowly spoke, "Ladies, the enemy we face this time is the mysterious and powerful Qingniǎo. We must not take it lightly!" After saying this, his gaze swept over each of their faces once more, as if to etch this warning deeply into their hearts.
Huang Ling'er nodded slightly, indicating that she understood the gravity of the situation. Her lively eyes revealed a hint of caution and vigilance at this moment. By her side, Jiang Yu Rou held her long sword tightly, with a determined expression on her beautiful face.
Xiao Ya Wen gently brushed her sleeves and whispered, "Rest assured, Brother Mo, we will give it our all." Ding Yan, Tuobayiyingying, Qin Xiaodie, and Cao Chunling also nodded in agreement, each having prepared to face the formidable foe.
Finally, the Golden Silkworm Fairy smiled faintly, a smile as vibrant and charming as a flower blooming in spring. Yet, it was filled with an immeasurable confidence.
She spoke softly, "With all of you sisters fighting beside me, what's there to fear from that measly Qingniǎo?" The group smiled at each other, the understanding and trust between them evident without a word being spoken.
Even though the situation was clear, in their hearts, whether it was Mo Wenjie or Huang Ling'er, Jiang Yu Rou, Xiao Ya Wen, Ding Yan, Tuobayiyingying, Qin Xiaodie, Cao Chunling, and the Golden Silkworm Fairy, each of them actually had a crystal-clear understanding—the next battle they were about to face would be incredibly difficult beyond their wildest imagination!
Because this is not just an ordinary confrontation; the implications of the involved interests, life and death, fill everyone with immense pressure. Any slight error could potentially lead them into a deep abyss from which there might be no return.
Just thinking about such consequences sent shivers down their spines, yet they showed no signs of hesitation. After all, sometimes life is just like this—aware that the mountain may harbor tigers, one still ventures towards the mountain. For these courageous and fearless individuals, as long as there is a glimmer of hope, it's worth fighting to the end!
Mo Wenjie acted first, focusing his inner Qi at the tip of his sword and stabbing towards the Qingniǎo. The Qingniǎo easily sidestepped, its wings flapping up a fierce gale.
The group of women worked together, Huang Ling'er casting a long whip to bind the gale, Jiang Yu Rou using a spell to neutralize the wind, and Xiao Ya Wen charging towards the Qingniǎo with her spear. The Qingniǎo let out a shrill scream and spat forth flames.
Ding Yan agilely hid to the side, throwing specially designed ice needles, which upon colliding with the flames turned into mist. Tuobayiyingying swung her massive axe at the Qingniǎo's claws, causing it to suddenly shoot upwards. Qin Xiaodie's illusions were timed perfectly, distracting the Qingniǎo's vision.
Cao Chunling continued to bless the group with defensive spells from the rear. The Golden Silkworm Fairy instructed the silkworm larvae to fly towards the Qingniǎo's eyes. Enraged, the Qingniǎo emitted a radiance that filled its body, with a powerful pressure emanating from within.
Mo Wenjie sensed the looming danger. He recalled the ancient deities' methods of combating pressure from the Memory Pearl. He led the group to form a circle and jointly channel Qi to resist. The Qingniǎo, seeing this, dived down towards them. Just as it was about to make contact with the group, Mo Wenjie shouted loudly, and they combined their forces to strike upward with an incredibly powerful force. The Qingniǎo was hit, let out several mournful cries, and turned to flee.
Mo Wenjie slowly exhaled a breath of stale air, and the weight in his heart finally settled a little. However, he was well aware that the difficulties they had experienced so far were merely the beginning. The path ahead was still fraught with thorns and obstacles, and countless unknown hardships awaited them to be tackled one by one.
Yet, there was not a single trace of fear or the desire to retreat in Mo Wenjie's heart. He was acutely aware that as long as this group of like-minded individuals remained tightly united, their thoughts aligned, and their efforts synchronized, they would forge an unbreakable synergy. With such strength, no matter how formidable and ferocious the foes they faced, nor how daunting and seemingly impossible the tasks ahead seemed to be, they would show no signs of cowardice whatsoever.
On the contrary, they would face all challenges with fearless courage and an indomitable determination, ultimately overcoming all difficulties and securing victory! This belief was like a raging flame burning in his chest, growing ever more intense, providing him with boundless strength and courage.
Mo Wenjie, Huang Ling'er, Jiang Yu Rou, Xiao Ya Wen, Ding Yan, Tuobayiyingying, Qin Xiaodie, Cao Chunling, and the Golden Silkworm Fairy were all extremely determined. No matter what, they would not allow this Qingniǎo to hinder their progress!
