Moweng and others arrived at the new training place. It was misty and full of spiritual energy, almost as if it had been solidified. However, danger lurked within, with occasional ripples of mysterious power coming through.
As soon as they stepped into this place, they encountered a group of Spiritual Butterflies attacking them. These Spiritual Butterflies looked beautiful, but in reality, they could shoot sharp spiritual energy blades with their wings as they flapped. Mo Wenjie formed hand seals with both hands and a spiritual energy shield appeared, blocking the attack. His companions saw this and immediately used their magical skills to counterattack. Some controlled fire to burn the butterflies, while others summoned vines to bind them.
The fight lasted for a moment, and Mo Wenjie discovered that these Spiritual Butterflies were the beings protecting a sacred spring in this place. So he tried to communicate with them using spiritual power, showing no ill intent.
The Spiritual Butterflies seemed to understand but not completely, ceasing their attack and leading them closer to the sacred spring. The spring contained a powerful, divine water with great energy, and if consumed, it would undoubtedly advance everyone's cultivation. However, Mo Wenjie warned them against greed and instructed that only a moderate amount of the spring water needed for advancing their own cultivation should be taken. After that, they continued deeper into the training ground to seek out more unknown opportunities and challenges.
Not long after they delved deeper, they encountered a wide river in front of them. The river water emitted a faint blue light, giving off a sense of coldness. As the group hesitated on how to cross the river, a huge water column suddenly rose from the river surface, and an aquatic demon-like beast emerged from the water.
Mo Wenjie remained calm and composed, striking first, throwing a talisman that turned into a rope and wrapped around the dragon-like beast. The others weren't idle either. The teammates skilled in water elemental magic conjured ice spears to shoot at the dragon, while those skilled in close combat wielded swords to charge towards the dragon for physical combat. The dragon flicked its tail and sent the ice spears flying, dodging the talisman rope, and then opened its mouth wide to emit icy mist.
The group was momentarily frozen and slowed in their movements. Mo Wenjie concentrated his spiritual energy to break through the frost, shouting, "Combined attack its weak point!" He had just observed that there was a slightly paler scale on the dragon's abdomen. Understanding, the group launched their strongest attack simultaneously towards the dragon's abdomen. The dragon sustained a severe injury and dived into the river, escaping.
Mo Wenjie and his companions finally successfully crossed the turbulent river with great effort. When they stepped onto the other side, an ancient and mysterious palace appeared before them. This palace was majestic and imposing, as if it carried the weight of time and history.
The solemn and imposing tall and closed palace door looked like a barrier, with intricate runes etched on it. These runes shimmered faintly like stars, emanating an aura of respect that was almost reverent. It was evident that this was a new challenge awaiting them, an unknown test that would demand their courage to confront.
Mo Wenjie gazed at the tightly shut palace door, a surge of intense curiosity and a desire to explore filling his heart. He knew that to uncover the secrets hidden behind the palace, he must overcome the numerous difficulties ahead. Taking a deep breath, he steadied his emotions, then led his companions cautiously towards the palace.
As they walked a few meters away from the palace door, the ground suddenly glowed with arrays of patterns. Mo Wenjie urgently shouted, "Be careful, don't move around!" However, Tuo Baiying still moved her foot, and an electric current shot along the pattern, hitting her. Mo Wenjie quickly counterattacked with a burst of spiritual energy to neutralize some of the electricity, saving her from severe injury.
Mo Wenjie carefully studied the array, discovering that the key to breaking it lay in stepping on the array patterns in a specific sequence. He closed his eyes, using his powerful divine consciousness to sense the direction of spiritual energy flow. After a moment, he opened his eyes and began to guide his companions walk in the right order. With each step they took, there was a burst of spiritual energy.
After finally getting through the array, the palace door remained motionless. Mo Wenjie reached out and touched the door, infusing a strand of spiritual energy into it. The runes suddenly brightened. Then, the door opened slowly, emitting a powerful suction force. Before they could resist, the group was pulled in.
Upon finally seeing their surroundings, Mo Wenjie and Huang Ling'er, Jiang Yurou, Xiao Yawen, Ding Yan, Tuo Baiying, Qin Xiaodie, Cao Chunling and Jin Can Xianzi were in a space filled with the glow of stars. In the center hung a brilliant spiritual pearl. At this moment, countless illusions appeared around them. These were the resentment of those who had perished here previously. They howled as they charged towards the group. Mo Wenjie clenched his fists and prepared to face another battle.
Mo Wenjie's spiritual energy erupted, forming a protective shield around everyone. "Quickly focus your cultivation and resist, I'll figure out a way to break through the enemy," he shouted. Mo Wenjie rapidly changed his hand seals and muttered incantations, trying to find a weakness in the illusions of resentment.
Suddenly, he locked onto the shining spiritual pearl, thinking that it might be the key. He moved his body in a flash, charging towards the pearl. The illusions saw this and rushed to stop him like crazy. Mo Wenjie struggled to break through several of the illusions' obstructions and approached the pearl. When he reached out to touch the pearl, a warm and pure energy flowed into his body.
Mo Wenjie turned and roared, a blinding gold light radiating from his entire body as he dispersed the purified spiritual energy. The illusions of resentment melted away like ice when they touched the gold light.
The group heaved a sigh of relief as Mo Wenjie approached the spiritual pearl and gently removed it. Instantly, the space began to tremble, and doors opened one after another.
Mo Wenjie took a deep breath, his heart well aware that what lay before him signified a brand new opportunity and an unprecedented colossal challenge. Yet, the steely determination in his gaze showed no signs of retreat. He slowly turned his head, gazing at his companions beside him, speaking in a calm yet powerful voice, "My friends, this may be a thorny path ahead of us, but I firmly believe that as long as we unite our hearts and advance courageously, we will surely overcome all difficulties and embrace our glorious moments! Therefore, let's continue on!"
At Mo Wenjie's stirring words, the others nodded vigorously, showing their trust in him and their determination for the future. Then, Mo Wenjie stepped forward first, heading towards the mysterious door not far ahead. The others followed without hesitation, one step at a time, drawing closer to the door that seemed to hide countless unknown secrets.
As Mo Wenjie finally reached the door, he paused slightly and then gently pushed it open. With a low creak, the door slowly opened, a dazzling beam of light spilling out from the crack, illuminating the faces of each of them.
Following Mo Wenjie, he stepped in without hesitation, his figure swallowed instantly by the light. Seeing this, the other companions followed without a moment's delay, stepping through the mysterious door as well.
The passage behind the door was filled with light, as if they were traversing time and space. The constant flickering of the light made them feel a bit dizzy.
After walking for what seemed like an eternity, the light gradually faded away, and they arrived at an unfamiliar location. It was a vast cave, filled with bizarrely shaped rocks all around, and mysterious lights flickered above the cave's ceiling.
They moved cautiously forward, when suddenly they heard a low growl. Mo Wenjie signaled for everyone to be on alert, and they slowly approached the source of the sound.
In the heart of the cave, they saw a massive beast. The creature had sharp claws and fangs, and it exuded a powerful aura.
Mo Wenjie held his gleaming, ice-cold sword tightly, his eyes resolute as he gazed at the approaching monster. Huang Ling'er beside him danced with her long whip, which moved like a slithering snake in the air, making a crisp sound. Jiang Yurou held a delicate short sword, its blade shimmering brightly in the sunlight.
Xiao Yawen held a pair of sharp daggers, her agile figure moving like a ready puma. Ding Yan held a massive wolf's tooth club high, exuding a fierce aura that made people afraid to look directly at her. Tuo Baiying held two short axes in each hand, the blades glinting with cold light.
Qin Xiaodie gently waved her fan, seeming weak but showing a mysterious power pulsating from the fan. Cao Chunling held a long spear, pointing its tip at the beast, exuding grace and confidence. And Jin Can Xianzi demonstrated an extraordinary presence, surrounded by a group of golden silkworm babies fluttering around her, emitting an unusual glow.
Mo Wenjie, Huang Ling'er, Jiang Yurou, Xiao Yawen, Ding Yan, Tuo Baiying, Qin Xiaodie, Cao Chunling, and Jin Can Xianzi showed no sign of retreat; their hearts were filled with courage and determination. They exchanged glances with each other, conveying encouragement and trust. As the monster drew closer, the tense atmosphere grew thick, and a thrilling battle was about to unfold.
Mo Wenjie was the first to launch an attack. Leaping into the air, he aimed his sword directly at the monster's eyes. The monster dodged by turning its head, and a claw swept towards Mo Wenjie, who leaped backwards and used the momentum to land a flip. Huang Ling'er saw her opportunity and pulled hard on her whip, tripping the monster with one knee to the ground. Jiang Yurou rushed forward immediately, but her short sword only scratched the monster's fur.
Xiao Yawen took the chance to circle around to the monster's back, slashing with both daggers, but the monster's tail swept across, throwing her flying. Ding Yan roared and brought down her wolf's tooth club onto the monster's back, causing it to howl in pain. Tuo Baiying swung her axes at the monster's waist, creating a shower of sparks.
Qin Xiaodie waved her fan, creating a whirlwind that momentarily blinded the monster. Cao Chunling thrust her spear straight into the monster's shoulder blades. Jin Can Xianzi commanded her silkworm babies to weave silk around the monster's limbs.
At this critical moment, Mo Wenjie seized the opportunity. He deeply breathed and continuously gathered his entire spiritual energy into the sword's blade, which was already incredibly sharp. Suddenly, the blade shone brilliantly, as if endowed with boundless power.
"Ah!" Mo Wenjie roared at the top of his lungs, unleashing every ounce of strength as he swung his sword with blinding speed, driving it into the monster's heart with a fierce thrust. In an instant, there was a muffled "splatter" as the blade sunk effortlessly into the monster's hardened flesh.
With such a fatal blow, the monster howled in agony and despair, its massive frame shuddering violently before collapsing to the ground with a thunderous crash, kicking up a cloud of dust. The ground trembled slightly from the monster's heavy fall, and the dull thud of impact echoed throughout the surroundings.
