"Taiqing first raised his own question."
"Dare to ask teacher, if I transform myself into everything, can I benefit from chopping the Three Corpses?" The method of chopping the Three Corpses proposed by Hongjun is indeed too difficult. Kunpeng and Dijun can only understand a framework, while Taqing, an extremely accumulated supreme being, understands all the content and has evolved to the stage of how to chop it.
The principles are often easy to understand in theory. This is like when a teacher explains a formula or theorem in class, and you suddenly realize, "Oh, that's how it is! I get it!" But then when it comes to doing exercises, you find that you still don't fully understand!
Taqing is currently in this situation. While the theory is understood, the actual situation needs to be questioned.
He is much more enlightened than Kunpeng and Dijun, but the more he evolves, the more he realizes the difficulties involved.
It's still the same old problem: too much chopping is not good, and too little is not good either. The hardest thing for people to see is themselves. Taqing has long had the idea of transforming one breath into three immortals, and has also made attempts. Now, he wants to ask whether his method can be applied to chopping the Three Corpses.
Hongjun said simply, "While all things cannot become three bodies, it is possible to become three immortals."
The words of San Sheng Wanwan, the old saying, were vague and unclear, and it was not clear whether Taqing's realm was not high enough to transform into everything, or whether all things had a predetermined fate and could only be transformed into three copies of the original.
Taqing seemed to be lost in thought, then gently nodded: "Thank you, teacher for your guidance."
Next, Yuan Zhao Tiān Zōng and Tong Tian Jiāo Zhù also asked their own questions, and Hongjun answered them. These future sages showed different expressions, some were surprised, some were puzzled, and some were hesitant.
After Jiěyìn finished asking, it was Deng Chuanyu's turn.
Of course, she had questions to ask as well.
"May I ask the elders, if I let my replicas take on countless forms, can I gather everyone's power and condense the true self to slice out my own corpse outside the body?"
The "countless forms" she mentioned refers to the divine power of Manjushri Bodhisattva to respond to the prayers of devotees, which is completely different from Taqing's ability to transform one breath into three immortals. The countless forms are projections, just a manifestation of will, whereas the transformation from one breath into three immortals produces all physical entities.
Deng Chuanyu considers Taqing's One Breath Transforming into Three Immortals to be a correct path, but this path is filled with obstacles, so Taqing himself did not succeed in following it. In the end, he chose to establish a large teaching and bind himself to the Honghuang, exchanging vast merits for enlightenment.
He was already a saint, so he didn't continue to explore his potential in One Breath Transforming into Three Immortals. Before Deng Chuanyu had a casual conversation with Lǎo Jīn about this topic on the not-ke mountain, although he didn't explicitly say it, Lǎo Jīn thought that there was some regret in the essence.
This path should continue to be pursued, believes Laozu, and with some time, the essence has the potential to chop out the third Corpse with its own power. However, at that time, Nuwa became a saint first, and as the first disciple of the Xuanmen school, Taqing was under immense pressure. He had to give up on One Breath Transforming into Three Immortals and choose to become a saint through merits.
If it were just an example, Deng Chuanyu would not have brought it up for discussion. The current issue is that Zhao Gongming has also made a small step on this path, although it's a joke-like One Breath Transforming into Three Sword Seraphs. But this is the true nature of Lao Zhao, the most authentic part of him. Hongjun's method of chopping the Three Corpses has extremely high requirements for the heart, and Zhao Gongming has unconsciously met this standard in some way.
Deng Chuanyu believes that Taqing and Lao Zhao can achieve it, so she thinks she might try as well.
Combining Menghe Blood God's divine power, she had some ideas, but they were still immature and needed some guidance from a higher perspective.
This question of hers can be seen as an extension of Taqing's previous question. The top disciple of the Xuanmen School at this moment also perked up her ears to listen.
Hongjun said, "It's difficult. Why complicate things? The Three Corpses are the most suitable."
Deng Chuanyu was silent, she was the most annoying of these people with high abilities. She found it incredibly difficult, but they just looked at it as something common, and then turned around to ask you, "Isn't this something that just requires hands?"
Hongjun did not directly answer this question. At this moment, he signaled her to ask another question.
Deng Chuanyu was still determined to persist. This time, she didn't ask about pure theory but about the specific operation: "May I ask teacher, if I were to transform myself into three bodies using the Three Treasures of Heaven, Earth, and Man, and then refine each body with Suwei gold, Kunshan jade, and Shouyang copper respectively, using Tianshan lotus flowers, Tianhe water, and Tianxu stone as assistants, and Jiǔqū sand, Qīshēng flowers, and Wuyáng leaves as leads to melt with both literary and martial arts fire, is this method feasible?"
Deng Chuanyu presented her entire idea, and after Hongjun listened, he still had that same expressionless look: "Impossible. The thicker the impurities."
Deng Chuanyu was somewhat disappointed. Hongjun would not deceive her, which meant that the path she had thought about for a hundred years, combining all the techniques she had learned in her life, seemed to be unworkable.
She bowed: "Thank you, teacher for your guidance."
After the six of them finished asking, other great beings could only start to ask questions. During each teaching, Hongjun only answered nine questions, which meant that the remaining three thousand guests had to compete for the three questions, with fierce competition.
After answering the questions, numerous great beings began to cultivate, transforming the content they had heard into something of their own. Some felt they had gained a lot, while others looked puzzled. If Daodu had not made a mistake, that would mean they were practicing incorrectly?
Deng Chuanyu quickly regained her confidence. Since this path cannot chop the self-corpses, then let's lower the requirements: would it be acceptable as an auxiliary method for chopping the self-corpses?
Deng Chuanyu combined the essence of Taqing's One Breath Transforming into Three Immortals and Lao Zhao's One Breath Transforming into Three Sword Seraphs, and incorporated some methods from Menghe Blood God. She was preparing to create a new path for auxiliary chopping the self-corpses.
Hongjun's enlightenment actually took a long time, as he arranged the external environment to ensure there were no more enemies who could threaten him, and then started to challenge the position of a saint.
"Settle the internal by first pacifying the external," this tactic was something he had fully mastered.
"The competition is too intense. There is no time to cultivate spiritual attainments," sums up Deng Chuanyu.
Now that he has become a saint, you haven't yet. Are you suicidal?
After Nuwa became a saint, these individuals engaged in a kind of arms race, with a great deal of cost and sacrifice to also achieve enlightenment.
If it weren't for the power of merits, Zhentai would only have a 30% chance of becoming a saint. While Yuan Zhao, Tong Tian Jiāo Zhù, and Jiěyìn have a 50% chance of achieving true immateriality through their own cultivation, Taqing and Nuwa have a 70% chance.
Now it's all hindsight, but at the time, they had no choice but to ascend to the status of a saint.
If you don't become a saint, once others do, they will turn against you.
For Deng Chuanyu, she currently has no competitors, and the other sages are all friendly to her. The external environment is good, giving her enough time to cultivate spiritual attainments and become a true immortal in a more complete state.
She will continue to accumulate merits, but they are a safety net for her. If possible, she would prefer not to use them.
She wants to try if she can chop out the self-corpses. Her qualifications are still inferior to those of Taqing and Nuwa, but about the same as those of Zhunti. She is considering whether she can take some auxiliary measures to make her path smoother.
