Through the Bodhi array, the convergence of the six disciples' Buddha nature is called "Bodhi reveals the labor face".
Here, "Bodhi" refers to enlightenment and wisdom, which has no fixed form. It is not the "stare" that represents ignorance and endlessness, as in "Don't mention your teacher when you cause trouble later." The character "xiàng" (form, aspect) refers to the various external manifestations of the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind in the context of Bodhi.
Bodhi has no fixed form, but it is now manifested with fixed forms by the six disciples using their own wisdom and Buddha nature.
This is a female-looking deity form, somewhat like a fusion of the moonlight, Guanyin, and Dahizhi appearance. The deity form wears a white robe, with the head adorned with a coiled dragon bun. The eyes exude boundless compassion.
Each of the six disciples has their own lotus platform. Among them, the twelve-petaled merit lotus that the Moonlight sits upon is for guiding. The lotus platforms of the other five are their own, with different ranks. Maitreya and Guanyin's lotus platforms are the highest in rank, both having reached the extreme ninefold rank of the primeval chaos. Guanyin Bodhisattva is also perceptive to business opportunities. He saw potential in establishing a lotus pond on Putuo Mountain in the South Sea, preparing to gather the devotion of all beings, plant higher-rank lotuses, and in the future, form a professional lotus platform manufacturing base that integrates planting, harvesting, manufacturing, and sales.
The lotus platform manufacturing base is a future endeavor. Besides the six disciples, the other eight hundred Buddhist disciples do not have platforms.
They sit cross-legged, chanting sutras and reciting Buddha. The six disciples sit on their lotus platforms floating in the air, with the Bodhi deity form appearing just above them.
The deity form quickly took shape, as if purposefully, yet carelessly, casting a glance at Guang Chengzi.
Guang Chenzi tried to resist with the Jade Pure Method, but the wisdom of Bodhi is harmless. This thing has no destructive power and is more like the Buddha nature of the moonlight, helping Guang Chenzi to attain enlightenment and understand his true nature.
If one looked at the big abilities who slayed two corpses from time to time, theoretically, it would increase their chances of slaying three corpses. Generally, the third corpse is the true self, and it is the hardest to see oneself clearly.
Guang Chengzi is still a hundred thousand and eight thousand miles away from achieving enlightenment, and seeing his true self is useless. It brings only troubles, endless troubles.
So dirty! Guang Chengzi felt as if he were covered in filth. More wisdom burst forth from his spiritual essence, and he realized that his path was not yet complete, his heart clouded with dust. One scene after another from his past life floated into his mind, revealing that he had done so many wrong things, so many things that he didn't care about at the time but regretted deeply throughout his life. If only everything could be done over...
"Get out! Get out!" He was a highly skilled Greater Immortal, and he wouldn't be easily defeated by a single move. He projected his mental energy, and in his spirit realm, the fragments of the Creative Jade Disk appeared in a vague manner.
"What are you doing?"
"Why do you plot against the immortal Guang Chengzi? Are you not afraid of divine retribution?"
"Quickly kneel down and seek mercy from the Immortal Teacher of the Chuanzai Sect. The teacher is merciful, and maybe he can spare your dog life!"
Suddenly, countless common people gathered around, including merchants, farmers, blacksmiths, and even the storyteller from the tea house the previous day. Anyone who had come into contact with Guang Chengzi or been indirectly influenced by him during the past day plus one hour materialized in the vicinity of the battlefield in an instant.
Fuming with righteous anger, their numbers in the thousands, they began to curse at the Buddhist disciples.
It has been less than two and a half years since the birth of Buddhism, so it's unrealistic to expect these Buddhist disciples to have such deep patience.
Some disciples from the Jiezhi Sect took out their staffs and crescent-shaped shovels. We're lucky not to have caused trouble, and now they dare come and disturb us? They're just a bunch of insignificant ordinary people! As long as the common people dare to chatter in front of us, there's no question about it. We'll just start by killing them seven times in and out.
Moonlight, who was in charge of the Bodhi array, seeing the trouble below, had to have a part of the wisdom light from the Bodhi deity form dispersed towards the disciples.
"Shaliu, form the Buddha Array and guard the entrance. Disciples, listen and remember the Five Precepts!"
The first in the Five Precepts is the vow against killing.
Sun Wukong acknowledged killing the robbers himself, saying, "I killed them; what's there to do about it?" Tang Sanzang suggested "get some money to buy two plasters for them to stick on," wanting to smooth over the matter. As long as he didn't know about it, it wouldn't count as breaking the precepts. However, when Lao Zhu exposed the incident, Tang Sanzang couldn't hide it anymore, and the situation spiraled out of control.
The vow against killing is very important in Buddhism. Once this precept is broken, at least one-third of the seals on Luo Yuan will be lifted.
As a trusted disciple of Moonlight, Shaliu quickly stepped forward and commanded the disciples to set up an iron bucket Luohan Array. You can beat and curse freely, we won't retaliate!
Many disciples from the Jiezhi Sect showed their discontent, glaring angrily, but he suppressed their anger firmly.
Moonlight furrowed her brow slightly. These Jiezhi disciples were the source of trouble. She had already chosen those with relatively mild temperaments from the Jiezhi Sect, leaving troublemakers like Ma Yuan and Jin Guang Noble Mother on Mount Lingshan. Even so, she had nearly had an incident.
A portion of the wisdom light from the Bodhi deity form was dispersed, which allowed Guang Chengzi to recover some ground from his disadvantage. He broke out in a cold sweat; almost, almost he was going to be converted into a traitor in Buddhism.
These bastards didn't give him any chance to retaliate; they came at him with a joint attack by the six of them right from the start. That's too cunning!
"I can go there, you can go there too," Guang Chengzi frowned tightly. The power of the Creative Jade Disk followed along with the transmission of the Bodhi deity form.
Moonlight's heart stirred, and before her eyes appeared a luminous orb of uncertain brightness and darkness. In an instant, over ten complete paths appeared in front of her, so close that she could almost reach out and touch or control them.
No longer would there be a need for arduous planning, no longer the need to forget sleep and food in intense study; it would only require a light reach out.
It seems to have sensed her intention, and the paths emerging from the luminous ball multiplied even more, numbering in the hundreds and thousands. Each one was so profound and magnificent. Truth opened its heart to her in an instant, as long as she took what she wanted, there would be no secrets left in the world.
"Little Moonlight, please hold on!"
"Yes, isn't this the same trick as the Supreme Dark Lord's? To amplify one's greed? This trick won't work on me, I am unbreakable!"
The sounds of Deng Chanyu and Fenghuang resonated in her mind, their voices somewhat distorted, as if they were transmitted from a very distant place.
Moonlight gritted her teeth, knowing that she had been deceived. Sitting within the twelve-petaled merit lotus, she kept muttering, "I can't see, I can't see, I can't see anything at all!"
Thanks to the self-hypnosis-like muttering, she barely managed to resist the temptation of the shattered Creative Jade Disk.
It must be said that the Buddha heart of Maitreya is truly extraordinarily strong. Facing the same temptation, with no one to remind him on the side, and no protection from the twelve-petaled merit lotus, he was able to almost simultaneously break free from control.
