Jurou Sun was actually quite vain, and after Taishan Zhenzun promised to send him to Buddhism, he learned of the news and wept at the gate of Yuxu Palace for three days and nights. He then repeatedly thanked his master's grace and expressed his loyalty to the Hsuan School before going to Buddhism.
In comparison, the over thousand disciples who entered Buddhism were much more carefree. They were like a group of people playing around, bowing their heads in front of the main gate of the Biyou Palace and considering it as settling the karmic cause. After that, they joyfully set off for Mount Lingshan. Jurou Sun at least made some superficial gestures.
Of course, this had to do with Tongtian Zhaozi's lack of attention. Those disciples of Jie School were truly outcasts among the outcasts, and the highest one could achieve was being a true immortal. The most famous were the Ten Kings. Jurou Sun? He was the direct disciple of Taishanzhengzun.
Guangchengzi scoffed coldly, "You dare to use such words to deceive me with your hypocrisy and black heart. It seems that you must have something to rely on."
For Ci Hang, he still holds some respect in his heart; after all, she seeks the path of Tao and aims to benefit all sentient beings. As for Ju Liusun, he has no respect for him. This fellow appears loyal and honest on the surface but is actually a crafty little man full of schemes.
Ju Liusun kneeled and kowtowed, "Brother, your misunderstanding of me is too deep. I have entered Buddhism, and my teacher has already agreed. I also have some helpless reasons."
Halfway through, he suddenly summoned the magical rope to bind Guangchengzi's arm. The golden rope twisted and turned, resembling a quick-moving snake, quickly wrapping around his body.
Guangchengzi was quite scornful: "Trifling tricks."
His red light in the center of his forehead gently swept over himself, and the magical rope wrapped tightly around his arm suddenly lost its spirit and fell limply in his hand, resembling a common rope.
This delay caused Guangchengzi to realize that Ju Liusun had mysteriously disappeared when he wanted to find him again.
Could Ju Liusun really have such swift speed? He found it hard to believe and shifted his gaze to the ground.
Earth Traveling Art!
Jurou Sun, who was also a disciple of Taishan, naturally knew this technique as well. However, using Earth Traveling Art could damage the authority of the Hsuan School's true immortals. It involved sneaking around, digging holes, and behaving like rats in the ground. He often told his fellow disciples that he only knew this technique and was not proficient in it.
Now that he looks again, it's not that he's not proficient; it's almost at the peak, or perhaps he has already reached the peak.
Guangchengzi's heart was filled with anger.
Against Ci Hang, the opponent hid in the protective mountain formation and dared not to emerge. This counts as a draw.
When it came to fighting Manjushri and Puxian, he couldn't find either of them. He did find and beat up Huang Long, but it wasn't satisfying enough. With the previous relationship in mind, he hadn't struck too hard. Now that he's seen Ju Liusun, he doesn't plan to hold back anymore.
You run? I'll see you run!
Earth Traveling Art is not a technique that dominates Hongwu, so the traces of traversing the Earth's veins can still be detected. He followed the traces and chased after them all the way.
Ju Liusun quickly moved underground, with Tuxingsun traveling a thousand miles a day and Zhang Kui traveling a thousand and five. In reality, the speed was nothing special, not up to Ju Liusun's level. He sensed the murderous intent in Guangchengzi's gaze and immediately used this technique to its fullest extent.
Whether it was underground rocks or rivers, he viewed them as if they were flat ground, and his speed of passage had a sense of leaping and shifting in space.
Earth Forming Art, which utilizes the veins of Hongwu to quickly travel, leaves obvious traces in the eyes of those with great abilities. Ju Liusun made improvements to this technique. When he used this magic, he not only relied on the Earth's veins for passage but also could use them to mislead enemies. Guangchengzi, while tracking him, was misled several times into the opposite direction.
Guangchengzi was also clever. He immediately waited at several return routes to Mount Lingshan, estimating that Ju Liusun would soon arrive, and then he cast the Fan Tian (Heavenly Seal) to blast the ground.
After changing three routes successively, he almost got hit by the Fan Tian (Heavenly Seal) once. Ju Liusun was afraid to gamble with his own life, and under no circumstances could he risk it being destroyed by the Fan Tian (Heavenly Seal). Therefore, he had no choice but to continue his previous route and head to the Southern Heavenly Gate for aid.
Guangchengzi saw Ju Liusun change direction and turned with him.
Guangchengzi didn't want to go to Mount Lingshan. Even though he had just awakened, he knew that it was the old lair of Buddhism. What if he encountered the two sages from the West? Even if there were no sages there, a multitude of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas would join in. He didn't feel confident in escaping unscathed.
He was not afraid of heaven, as heaven now had many gods. However, their cultivation levels were not yet at their peak, with Hou Tian merely a quasi-saint. With Taishanzhengzun behind him for support, he had no fear facing heaven.
He claimed not to be afraid, but it would be best to intercept Ju Liusun halfway. However, this fellow might be like a mouse; his digging speed was too fast. Guangchengzi observed through the spiritual energy between mountains and rivers, but he was half a step behind.
Tracking is very difficult in this way. Although he has many means, he dares not directly attack the Hongwu veins. This is like holding a rat in one's hand, but being afraid to hit it.
The relationship between the White Lotus and himself was still unclear to the Mire. Currently, he could only think of a close connection between the White Lotus and the twelve levels of Pure Land White Lotus. If he could retrieve this primordial lotus, it might help him find a certification opportunity.
He wanted to ask the Buddha of Moonlight to send disciples from the sect to help him retrieve the Twelve-level Pure World White Lotus. As one might expect, that was impossible.
Miaolai instructed Huangmiezi to say that he was in seclusion whenever anyone came to look for him. Then he went to the underworld to try and retrieve the Twelve-level Pure World White Lotus. The result was a complete waste of effort.
He went to consult with the Land Guardian.
"Brother, are you going to retrieve the Twelve-level Pure World White Lotus?" asked Di Zang, slightly puzzled. Why did you suddenly have this idea?
As former disciples of the Western Paradise, Miaolai and Di Zang had a good relationship. Although Di Zang lived in the Underworld for most of the time, their brotherhood did not decrease.
With Miaolai's positive response, Di Zang pondered seriously for a while.
The incident of the Twelve-level Pure World White Lotus falling into the Weak Water was not a secret among the elite. The sages had discussed it as a strange tale with their disciples, and the Sanqing even made fun of Nuwa, saying that she lacked enough fortune; when she saw the Twelve-level Pure World White Lotus, she only managed to retrieve a lotus seed.
Di Zang was well aware of its importance. Upon seeing Miaolai's unwavering determination, he immediately took along dozens of Ardhaka who had become followers of Buddhism and followed Miaolai to retrieve the Twelve-level Pure World White Lotus.
As expected, the result was not surprising. If even the sages could not retrieve the Twelve-level Pure World White Lotus, then these Ardhakas had no chance.
In just under one hour and a half, they all dissolved into nothingness, not even their souls managed to escape.
Seeing Miaolai a bit off balance, Di Zang, who was observing the situation from the sidelines, said, "Brother, retrieving it is not the solution. Even with your and my siblings' abilities, let alone those of more powerful beings, it seems unlikely that we could succeed."
Miaolai himself was not unaware of this principle. However, it was truly frustrating to sense the shadow of an enlightenment opportunity, yet be blocked by the Weak Water.
"Brother, what are your thoughts?"
"It might be better to try and guide the Pure World White Lotus to emerge from its hiding place."
"What do you plan to use as a guide?"
"Man," said Di Zang slowly.
