The Jiuyi Mountains are closely associated with Emperor Shen Nü, who had a rather hard life.
The son of Emperor Huangdi was the famous fan of the Feng clan, Shao Hao, and his grandson was Zhuanxu, who had a multitude of "ghost sons." Zhuanxu had a nephew who was the Green Cap King Di Ku, whom Deng Chanyu saw in the Yunmeng Lake. Di Ku's son was Emperor Yao. Their leadership positions seemed more to be based on lineage rather than being fairly selected by the tribal people.
Shun was definitely of common birth. His own mother had died, and his stepmother often mistreated him, regarding him as a thorn in her eye. Several times she tried to kill him, but Shun had to act very obedient, which is what is called "pure filial piety." It's actually easy to understand that if someone is trying to kill you, how can you be obedient? You're not stupid, right? Shun was certainly not stupid, as he would become the ruler of the whole world.
Shun survived into adulthood, successfully separated from his family, and after that, his "pure filial piety" was discovered by the tribe. He gradually began to stand out until he married two daughters of Emperor Yao and became the leader of the tribe as Yao's son-in-law.
Even so, Emperor Yao put him through many tests. After Gao Huang and Nü Ying married Shun, Emperor Yao sent nine men to serve beside Shun. What were they doing? It was what many historical records refer to as "to observe his virtues."
Shun's whole life was like this: every day at work, he had nine tall men by his side. When he returned home, there were two women. This was Shun's life before half of it was over.
Many historical records state that "Emperor Yao abdicated the throne to Shun and passed away twenty-eight years later." The news was released first. Twenty-eight years later, Emperor Yao passed away, and Emperor Shen began to govern.
After Emperor Shun formally took power, he sent Da Yu to control the water. Who is Da Yu? Da Yu is a descendant of Xuanxu and is also a direct descendant of Emperor Huangdi.
Da Yu had been governing the water for thirteen years and had completely alleviated the Yellow River's water disaster. Emperor Shun then passed on the position of ruler of the whole world to Da Yu, as he was still not as pure-blooded as Da Yu.
How did Emperor Shen die? He heard that there were nine evil dragons in Jiuyi Mountain that were harming the people. He went there single-handedly to kill the dragons.
He was gone for several years, and when Gao Huang and Nü Ying found him, they discovered that he had died of natural causes after eliminating the evil dragons.
A retired ruler who died quietly.
Shen Nü had a hard life, and there was no doubt that the reason for this was his background. It was also related to the low destiny of the Feng clan, which had dragged him down.
Gao Huang and Nü Ying had searched for a long time in Jiuyi Mountain for their husband's grave, and now that Moonlight wanted to find a solitary grave in the vast mountains, the difficulty was immense. She thought of asking someone for directions.
Moonlight looked at the "female ascetic" and hoped she could help her figure things out.
The mother tiger gently put the dead fox in her mouth down and carefully looked at her.
The two-legged creature seems to have some issues.
You say I have problems? Moonlight slightly frowned, but still maintained the dignified expression of a high monk.
The tiger has an extremely strong sense of danger, and when she furrows her brow in an instant, the tiger feels like the sky has fallen.
Dared not to think more, the shivering shaking indicated a direction.
Moonlight couldn't see which direction it was pointing, so she followed suit and pointed in the same direction.
"Is that the way?"
"No, no"
"Is this the way?"
"No, no"
"That must be the way!"
Big tears swirled in the tiger's eyes, and it nodded frantically.
Moonlight bowed his hands in worship and said, "Thank you, female ascetic, this poor monk will bid farewell."
After drinking a cup of tea.
She descended from the heavens, landing a hundred meters in front of the mother tiger: "Lady donor, the poor monk had a look in that direction before. There was only an old spirit bitten to death by a wolf, who had not been dead for more than thirty years. The poor monk conveniently performed a Buddhist rite for him. That can't be Emperor Shun, could you help me think of anything else?"
This time, the mother tiger pointed in a different direction. Moonlight searched around but still couldn't find anything.
When Moonlight found the mother tiger for the third time, she was already a little upset: "The poor monk has always treated you with courtesy. Are you playing a joke on the poor monk?"
The vast golden light of the Buddhist sect surged out in all directions like a sea. A lotus flower emerged from beneath her feet, and an solemn figure of the Buddha of Moonlight appeared behind her, with a seven-colored canopy above her head. The mother tiger tried to curl up into a ball with all her might, but she really couldn't manage it.
Moonlight felt the chaotic and almost life-threatening emotions of the "female donor," and realized that he had gone a bit overboard. He quickly apologized: "The poor monk's practice has not yet reached its home, forgive me, please, Amitabha."
She was also straightforward: "Thank you, female donor, for leading the way. Afterwards, the poor monk will surely express his gratitude."
According to her understanding, such a mute village woman is also easily satisfied. Giving her some benefits, not to mention becoming a Buddha instantly, living to be a hundred years old is no problem. After all, what era is this? It's the Shang and Zhou dynasties, an era where the average lifespan is no more than thirty years. Living to be a hundred years old would make the people in an entire village envious.
The mother tiger dared not refuse this somewhat eccentric immortal, so she followed him reluctantly, carrying her tail in front.
Find one, no; find another, not yet.
They couldn't find the bamboo grove that was a landmark either. The mother tiger, fearing that the eccentric immortal behind her was going to go mad, ran frantically all the way, searching for the solitary grave while also trying to escape. She ran so hard that her muscles twitched and her tongue poked out. Moonlight had poor eyesight, but his spiritual insight could cover the entire Jiuyi Mountains. Even though the mute old woman ran as fast as she could, she couldn't escape from his palm.
She followed at a leisurely pace, and her intuition was suddenly touched. She felt that she was getting closer to "the courier."
This mute village woman couldn't tell, but she was indeed a lucky lady!
Deep within the Jiuyi Mountains, there is a jade pool at the bottom of which hides a dragon's nest.
Huanglong Zhenren had a worried expression on his face, holding a long sword and dodging and weaving to avoid the nine black vapors that were attacking him fiercely, as if they were going to consume his entire body and blood.
"Father, mother, eldest brother, second brother, fourth younger brother, fifth sister. Wake up! It's me! It's Little Third! Open your eyes. I'm here to help you!"
The nine dragon-shaped shadows all had red eyes, conjuring storms and rain with no regard for reason. At this moment, they were filled only with maliciousness and a spirit of kill.
Huanglong Zhenren transformed seven different Quánjiào magical arts, but none of them could restore the sanity of his deceased kin.
He had a care and hesitate to strike because the situation was increasingly perilous.
"Enough, enough, let's try this move." After the establishment of Buddhism, he went to the Zizhu Bamboo Forest in the South Sea specifically. Relying on his past friendship with his fellow brothers in arms, he obtained a scroll of the Avatamsaka Sutra handwritten by Guanyin Bodhisattva.
"Go!" He waved his hand, and the scripture soared into the air, automatically turning pages, with deep Buddhist chanting accompanied by the spread of texts imbued with profound divine power in all directions.
The golden light enveloped the entire valley and the bamboo sea behind it.
The Avatamsaka Sutra swept through the black fog surrounding the nine evil dragons one after another. They roared continuously, but the red bloodlust in their eyes still faded by two parts. With the black fog being driven away by the Avatamsaka Sutra, a white dragon spine winding and spiraling gradually appeared. In the gaps of the dragon spines, one could still see silver chains locking them tightly in this pool of water.
