Duo-bao Buddha once took the big Lei Yin Temple as his battlefield, he could not help but look in the direction of the moon Bodhisattva. Before this, he never valued Deng Chan Yu, let alone this seemingly only seven or eight years old of clone. After personally experiencing once the 10,000 Buddha Array, his self-confidence was a bit hit.
He first paid respects to the two sages, and after listening to their teachings, he came to the side of the moon Bodhisattva and asked directly, "May I ask, Venerable Bodhisattva, how many companions died in the last array?"
Maitreya also curiously looked over, "How many companions died? Shouldn't it be a few that survived?" Is it that the scenes you experienced at Ling Shan didn't completely disappear?
Before, Yueguang vividly described the scene in the Temple of Demon Musical, saying that those Buddha and Bodhisattva were infested by demonic essence, their bodies were completely destroyed, their spiritual beings sank, and their true spirits returned to the six realms of rebirth. Even though Maitreya had personally experienced it, he still felt heart-wrenching.
Upon further thought, it seemed that Yueguang only spoke of the tragedy in Ling Shan, but didn't mention her own process of breaking the formation.
He also stood up straight and listened attentively.
Yueguang recalled: "Many died, the casualties were heavy, even the steeds of Buddha and Bodhisattva were killed in large numbers."
The fact is that only a few died, or it can't be said that they died or entered nirvana. It is that the Buddha and Bodhisattvas regained consciousness and saw their physical bodies destroyed, their spiritual platform covered in dust, and then they perished both physically and spiritually.
Buddha and Bodhisattva's mounts truly died many of them, most were killed while working hard, such as lions and elephants, they died pitifully. After death, they became ingredients for the multitude of starving Buddha, and their taste was bitter.
Duo-bao Buddha felt that her words were insincere, but he did not pursue the question further, and found a cushion to rest by himself. He had been rushing to break the formation, and he was also very tired.
Chanting looked at his elder brother and said, "Brother, is that all?"
Jiaying nodded in agreement: "Yes."
Chanting was somewhat regretful. He actually had a good opinion of Duo-bao, but he knew his own strengths and weaknesses very well. He wasn't a management expert and the old big religion was put together piece by piece, only holding it together by sheer force. Is it necessary to continue to be a restorer following my old path? He hopes that Buddhism can improve, but Duo-bao didn't take the opportunity, and his elder brother Jianjie thought he did very well before and didn't need to make any changes, which made him very touched.
He's just not face-conscious, not contemptible. If the successor can continue his measures and promote them, he wouldn't go out of his way to jump in and oppose.
Slapping yourself on the face, is that wrong?
If Yueguang manages Buddhism, it can also draw closer to Nuwa's relationship, which is another great advantage.
Chanting waved his hand, and the mysterious characters at the top of the 10,000 Buddha Formation appeared again.
Duo-bao had already had some premonition, but he still felt a sense of humiliation when his results came out.
It was not too many, nor too few, just half a million.
The gap is actually not big.
He was extremely suspicious that it was his own wrong choice in the final array that caused this gap.
Duo-bao Buddha furrowed his brows, Yueguang had to carefully watch him, are you going to have a explosive rage and come and hit me? I don't have any treasure here, not even the moon jinglun.
Duo-bao Buddha felt extremely uncomfortable, but in the end, he didn't say anything. After all, he was defeated because of his inferior skill. He still had that bit of composure.
On the side, Maitreya was in a complex mood. Originally, he considered Duo-bao as a fierce enemy. Duo-bao Dao Ren didn't come, but instead came a Duo-bao Buddha. There was no real difference. But he never expected the current result.
He couldn't help but look towards the two sages, wondering if they would give him another chance.
Chanting waved at Yueguang and said with a smile: "Please come forward."
Yueguang hurriedly approached him.
Chanting asked: "Did you choose a weapon?"
In Buddhism, holding items is an important symbol, the objects held by Buddha and Bodhisattva in the images represent their vows and powers.
Yueguang said, "Disciple's practice has been brief, and I have not chosen a holding item."
Holding items are a bit like special equipment in games, divided into seven types: magical weapon holding items, majestic instrument holding items, martial weapon holding items, animal holding items, musical instrument holding items, and other holding items. The Buddhist magical weapon holding item was added later and is not included in the original six types of holding items.
The specific type of holding item to be chosen and which one to choose still needs careful screening.
For example, the Buddha of Medicine chose a medicinal pot as his holding item from the category of magical implements.
Sakyamuni Buddha chose a dish as his holding item from the category of magical implements.
Great Shakyamuni Buddha chose the same holding item from the category of magical implements as Maitreya, the silver staff.
Deng Chan Yu's adopted elder brother, Li Jing, when he became the god Vaisravana, chose the holding item from the category of majestic instruments, a stupa.
The original Yueguang Bodhisattva should have chosen the moon from the other category as her holding item, but it is now uncertain.
The high-handed practitioners on the Buddhist side basically choose holding items from the category of magical implements. If possible, she also wants to choose within this range.
Jiaying Buddha, beside her, seemed to see her thoughts and immediately reached out, taking out a string of prayer beads from his robe and handing it to her, "This string of prayer beads has been blessed for many years. Today, I offer it to you as your holding item."
Saints' things are never inferior, originally thought it was just a symbol, but I didn't expect to directly give it the primordial spiritual treasure.
Yueguang thanked the Buddha, accepted the prayer beads, and then put them away. The holding item of magical implements generally symbolizes breaking off troubles and heading towards nirvana. The string of prayer beads given by Jiaying has a total of forty-two beads, representing the forty-two stages in the Bodhisattva's practice.
Soon, Duo-bao Buddha also received a holding item from Chanting, which was the diamond bell from the category of magical implements.
By ringing this bell, one can supervise and encourage many Buddhist disciples in their practice. It can also awaken the alertness of the Buddha and the Bodhisattva, making them joyful and carefree.
Many Buddha and many Bodhisattva were practicing in Ling Shan, and time passed quickly again, another two months have passed. It can be calculated that the time for setting up the Ten Thousand Buddha Array has already exceeded half a year.
What should come has come, and what shouldn't come won't come either. Buddha Jianjie stretched out his hand, and the Ten Thousand Buddha Array turned into a golden glow and was received into his sleeve.
No need to wait anymore, the assessment is now over!
Chanting said to all the disciples: "Yueguang Bodhisattva has fulfilled the merit, possesses the wisdom and virtues of Shakyamuni Buddha, and can be held in high regard with a great position and positive fruit. She shall be known as the Bodhi-glorified Moonlight Buddha."
The disciples clasped their hands together in reverence and offered salutations: "Hail to the Bodhi-glorified Moonlight Buddha."
Chanting said again: "Duo-bao Buddha has profound fortune, great perseverance, and wisdom light that illuminates ten thousand worlds. He can be held in high regard with a great position and positive fruit. He shall be known as the Ancient Buddha Duo-bao of the Southern Sky."
The disciples, including the newly baptized Bodhi-glorified Moonlight Buddha, clasped their hands together in reverence and offered salutations: "Hail to the Ancient Buddha Duo-bao."
Chanting finally looked at Maitreya, this disciple was a bit unfortunate, entering the formation too early, which was somewhat a pity.
"Maitreya Buddha has a complete understanding of the heart, enters the state of complete realization, and achieves the ultimate profound wisdom of the heart. He can be held in high regard with a great position and positive fruit. He shall be known as the Supreme Buddha Maitreya, Who Will Come in Future Time."
The disciples bowed again: "Hail to the Supreme Buddha Maitreya, Who Will Come in Future Time."
The Three Times Buddha is now confirmed.
Encouraging disciples to practice, the Ancient Buddha Duo-bao of the Southern Sky.
Managing the present, the Bodhi-glorified Moonlight Buddha.
And the Maitreya Buddha who claims to have ascended to the throne after the Bodhi-glorified Moonlight Buddha's fall, fifty-six billion seven hundred million years later.
