Now Xiqi moves Qi Mountain to the northeast, Ji Dan and Nangong Shu commands troops to resist the army of Yinshang. They can always "occupy the high ground and strike down like bamboo" and easily win. The East Duke's troops are far away from their hometown, not accustomed to local customs, and their morale is low. They currently lose more than they win.
The Prince Bo Yikao coordinates various parties, allocates supplies, and handles domestic affairs.
Prince Ji Fa, the second son of the King, led his elite troops to fight against the Xierong people in the west. It is reported that he achieved six consecutive victories and severely defeated the nomadic ethnic group. He returned with a large number of horses, cattle, sheep and captives.
Chong Yingbiao, the son of Chong Honghu, the Northern Duke, said to Ji Chang, the Western Duke: "He is just a farmer who knows how to plow and plant, put on armor, and he is still a Xiqi farmer. He has the smell of horse dung all over him!"
This remark has an ironic connotation, but it also indirectly reveals a fact that Ji Chang, the Western Duke, is very concerned about farming and skilled in planting crops.
After the relocation of Mount Qi, Ji Chang utilized his strengths and led the people in farming.
In the past year, Xiqi has reversed some of its decline and the country's strength has slowly climbed back up from its low point.
After the harvest, surplus grain was used to brew wine. Part of it was consumed to boost the morale of the people, and the rest was sold for profit. The plan seemed sound, but who would have thought that King Zhou had gone mad and decided to ban alcohol consumption. This move was a big blow.
Now that Xiqi has sent San Yisheng here, it's no more than looking for a market.
Deng Chanyu was prepared to drink it all. As she had more martial officers, how could they not drink in the fierce battles?
The Deng family governed Nanjun for three years. The Deng family bought a lot of grain from outside and, with the vigorous development of agriculture, the northern part had a trend of small ice rivers while the southern part was not as severe. Now they have well-trained troops and ample supplies.
Deng Dadoshi did not ban the drinking of alcohol, but neither did he encourage brewing. Now it's a good opportunity to drink the wine from Xiqi, which they have in surplus, and then sell it to Shu.
Even for the present Yinshang, the many records about the previous dynasty, that is, Xia, are actually blurred. No one knows where the capital was, how many generations it had, or what major events occurred. It's all guesswork. However, everyone seems to remember the story of Du Kang from Xia's era about brewing alcohol very well!
It's true. It has been passed down through oral tradition.
In the eyes of many nobles, fine wine is much more important than the history of the Xia Dynasty!
The brewing technology in central China, dating back to Du Kang of Xia, and by King Zhou's time, has over a thousand years of history. This technology is something even Shu would struggle to match.
Selling fine wine to Shu is like selling liquid gold.
"Everything depends on the commander."
San Yisheng had no objection to whom the wine was sold specifically. You can sell it to aliens if you have the ability, I just want my share of the profit.
After sending off San Yisheng, Deng Chanyu wrote a letter to Deng Ai in Hanzhong, instructing him to try to establish a trade route to Shu.
Some of the former senior priests who had surrendered and some of their relatives could still be utilized. In Deng Chanyu's view, a slave-based country like Shu was full of opportunities. By establishing relationships, it would be no problem to sell some wine over there.
Ten days later, Deng Ai returned to Nanjun personally.
To express his closeness, he even used the old title: "Miss, Hanzhong now has 30,000 fighting troops stockpiled, and grain and forage are piled high. Under the guise of escorting merchant caravans, we have already investigated two roads to Jinsha City. Why not?"
Deng Ai's words and actions hinted that he was suggesting they simply rob them instead of doing business.
This year, the attackiveness of the various states in Zhong Xia was very strong, and it was common for a state with a strong civilization to swallow a less advanced one.
Chang'e has no demands on Shu, they can attack whenever they want. Whether they win or lose, it's all their own business.
Deng Chanyu has not yet launched a large-scale war to conquer Shu, because she is busy cultivating herself. She really doesn't have the time.
She is also worried that in the future, when people are digging out the Jinsha and Sanxinghe archaeological sites, they might find a stone slab inscribed with the words "an eternal villain, a civilized butcher, and an advance vanguard for eradicating Shu - Deng Chanyu". That would be so embarrassing.
But right now, it's indeed a good opportunity. The great plague that ravaged Nanjun has spread to the southwest along with the climate and mosquitoes and flies.
The nobility and sacrifices of Jinsha City didn't want to see slaves spreading the plague, so they chose to banish and kill them.
There were disasters everywhere in Yinshang, the people were suffering, and there were wars everywhere. Shu was even worse off. It was not just one disaster, but various earthquakes, floods, and locust plagues that were rampant within its territory.
Deng Chanyu glanced at the primitive map: "That's not appropriate. The front line is too long, and it can't achieve a decisive blow. So, I'll send you an additional 100,000 miscellaneous laborers. You are to build another city under the pretext of selling wine in this area to the west of Hanzhong."
She drew a circle on the map with a pen and wrote the name of the city, Yinping.
She then said: "I'll give you 3,000 gold bars and 5,000 silver ingots to buy the nobles in Jinsha and Sanxinghe cities. Make these two forces fight against each other. The more brutal the better. At the same time, find the leader of the slave uprising in Jinsha City and tell him that as long as he fights for me, he will be granted freedom, even if he becomes an official."
After Deng Jiugong was granted the title of Duke of Han, Nanjun declared itself as Han in its external relations.
San Yisheng has hinted several times before, and now that Deng's family has pledged allegiance, the Zhou Dynasty also recognizes the title of Duke of Han.
This is much better than the original timeline where Huang Fei Hu was downgraded to 'my humble self' after Wucheng Wang's allegiance.
The Hanification of many ethnic groups in the south is not just empty boasting by Deng Chanyu; the seal of Duke Deng, a senior official in Han, is now much more useful in the south than the banners of the Yin Dynasty.
It's thousands of miles away, and the Yinshuang is irrelevant! I've never heard of it!
Only know Han, do not know Yinshang
Unconsciously, the time has reached the eleventh year after King Zhou's ascension to the throne.
King Zhou's eldest son, Yin Xiao, was born five years before his accession to the throne, and his second son, Yin Hong, was born three years before his accession. Now Yin Xiao is 16 years old and Yin Hong is 14 years old.
Deng Chanyu has been transported back in time for five years, Wensu has been on a campaign to the Beihai for three years, Nezha is now two years old, and Deng Jiugong's journey to the Chaogu City has also passed more than half a year.
The original plan was for Deng Jiugong to go to the capital, while Deng Xiu and the young wife of the Huang family would return to Nanjun. But half a year has passed, and King Zhou has still not released them.
Deng Chanyu immediately set off for Zhongge, she wanted to see the situation. Deng's family is becoming too powerful, they are almost being hidden. If it doesn't work out, we'll just go through five passes and slay six generals, and rebel!
She also had to deal with Li Jing's affairs, and for the Yutian Shangdi side, she could say that Mengheolda is using grand magic to destroy the Chentang Fortress. She couldn't write it that way for King Zhou's dispatch.
If she did write it, King Zhou would definitely ask, "Minghe? Where is Minghe? Can you call out and get a response?"
King Zhou gets angry and even kills his own son, let alone a distant relative like Li Jing who is involved in so many complicated matters.
Deng Chanyu prepared to smooth the relationship and replace Li Jing's position as the General at Chen Tang Relics with that of the General at Sanshan.
The land of the Chen Tang Fortress has been polluted by the blood sea, now not only can't it be farmed, but it's barren. Deng Chanyu wanted to relocate the local people to Nanjun.
Deng Chanyu thinks this isn't a big issue, as King Zhou often "gifts" thousands of people as sacrifices to their ancestors. He doesn't care about the population at all.
