Deng ChanYu habitually sits in the position south of the fire, while Di Zang sits with full mercy in the position of Jinhua metal to the west.
Di Zang's ability to recite sutras is at least ten times higher than Deng ChanYu's. While reciting sutras to perform the ritual of release, he can also speak smoothly and skillfully interjections into the conversation.
Di Zang said, "Friend, you have a great compassionate heart, not far from the purified realm of clarity and five impurities. In the future, if there is a chance, come to listen to my master's Nirvana Liberation Dao at Ling Shan."
Deng ChanYu didn't have the ability to multitask between reciting scriptures and chatting like him. Mainly because he hadn't practiced, it was a long time before he managed to wait for the end of a section, taking advantage of the time to breathe, and then replied, "Friend, do you know that fire can refine gold? I am naturally lazy and my nature is shallow. I have numerous karmic entanglements. I fear that I may not be in harmony with the great Dao of your sect."
Di Zang smiled and bowed, saying, "Friend, don't worry. There is an old saying in the folk: True gold will not be melted by fire. My sect is wide-opening the door of compassion, and there is no one who cannot be reached."
Deng ChanYu replied with great determination: "My teacher's constant creation of life is full of infinite mysteries. Such a simple person like me, even after a lifetime, cannot understand a fraction of it. I will not covet the Western Dao."
With one invitation and one refusal, their intentions made clear, they began to focus on the act of liberation through recitation.
Di Zang has high cultivation and is an expert in performing liberation for the deceased. With his assistance, the speed of the liberation greatly increased.
The Underworld lacks many things, but the guys who do the business of the Underworld in the Underworld are not short of.
The banners were being held up, the mourners were crying, the tables were being set, offerings were being brought, and the black-faced judge was helping all along. In the end, he even arranged for twelve yin officials who had some spiritual power in their past lives to follow Deng ChanYu and recite scriptures for the liberation of the soul.
The souls on Deng ChanYu's fallen sword gradually regained their clarity. There is a dragon available in the Underworld to provide service, and they are taken to the cycle of reincarnation after becoming conscious, with great efficiency.
"Thank you."
"Thank you, Immortal."
"Master, can you take a look? Is my child here? If not, thank you... thank you!"
It is a hundred, thousand, ten thousand, hundred thousand, and million! More than 80,000 wronged souls have been liberated. There are still more than 10,000 wronged souls left. The grievance is too deep and cannot be liberated.
Deng ChanYu took out the Replenishing Heaven Stone and, using the same strength as when grinding the needle, "DuangDuang" two times, broke the sword's blade. Later, with a mouthful of Red Yang True Fire, he completely melted down the broken sword.
"A Yu." Daji didn't know when she also followed the scene.
At this moment, Deng ChanYu had just finished reciting the "Taisang Jiu Ku Jing" (Supreme Sutra of Compassion), her face showing an expression of great mercy, which was quite different from her usual demeanor. Even Daji dared not disturb her.
Deng ChanYu turned around and returned to her usual appearance, saying, "Oh, I thought you had been bullied by the 'things' here. It seems that you are doing quite well. Where did this little dog come from?"
Not just that she's doing well; in the human world, Daji was always in a weak state, and in the Underworld, her complexion is even paler. Yet, there's a different kind of composure about her that one hasn't seen before.
What's key is that she's holding a little white dog that looks fierce but also cute.
Deng ChanYu lingered her gaze on Daji's chest for two breaths longer, and the little white dog glared at her.
If you look closely, this little dog has a tiger's head, a single horn, and a dog's body. Just from its appearance, it's clear that it's no ordinary creature...
By the side, Di Zang's expression was strange. He would occasionally look at the little dog and then look far away, as if he had suddenly developed old-fashioned dementia.
Daji was moved by the fact that Deng ChanYu braved danger and came into the Underworld to save her.
She said, "It was my grandmother who saved me. She also wants to see you. Come with me."
In fact, the Meng Po doesn't want to see Deng ChanYu. It was only after Daji begged her for half a day that she agreed to meet her.
Daji said, "A Yu is young and her cultivation is shallow. She will definitely suffer when facing the Zhu Tianlin."
Then she said, "The judge's face is getting darker and darker; there must be a conspiracy. Grandmother, you have to save A Yu."
Meng Po was at a loss. Although Deng ChanYu's cultivation was average, she couldn't withstand the fact that she had a strong backing and numerous treasures. High-level experts in the Underworld wouldn't dare to mess with her, so what dangers could she possibly face?
The black-faced judge was indeed at risk of dying from anger, which was the true danger!
Deng ChanYu followed Daji to meet Meng Po and was startled upon seeing Meng Po in person.
How did Daji make friends with this big shot? She has such a strong backing, and it will be difficult for her to die in the future.
She bowed respectfully: "Disciple Deng ChanYu, greets the Peaceful Heart Goddess."
Meng Po still looked ancient and frail: "Rise, Sister Nuwa, it's been many years since we last saw each other. I didn't expect her to take on a disciple. You... you're quite good."
"Thank you, Your Holiness, I am truly honored. As a disciple, I am not worthy of your praise. Thank you, Your Holiness, for your help." Deng ChanYu bowed again: "Daji is my friend. Thank you for Your Holiness's assistance."
This time Meng Po waved her hand: "She is very clever, not dull, and she is self-saving. Old woman didn't do anything, the most I did was to send a Tien An (a mythical beast) as a pet. Her strength is too weak, if there was nothing to follow and protect her, maybe she would come to accompany the old woman in the Underworld again."
Daji, like a noblewoman, held the little white dog in her arms a bit tighter.
Tien An? That's Tien An? It's a bit small.
Deng ChanYu now counts as an expert in spirit animals, so she knows about Tien An. However, this kind of spirit animal that can read people's hearts and avoid evil only appears in the Underworld, and she has never seen it before.
Di Zang mysteriously walked over from the shadows, looking at the Tien An and hesitating as if he wanted to say something but then changed his mind.
Meng Po was happy to clarify his thoughts: "You, you're always making trouble. You have high cultivation and profound fortune, do you really need such a small Tien An to protect you? You're just not cultivating your heart well, and you're greedy!"
Di Zang joined his palms together: "Forgive me, Your Holiness. It was Di Zang who gave in to greed."
Meng Po ignored him and turned to Deng ChanYu: "You two aren't leaving? Do you think the old woman is going to invite you for dinner?"
Deng ChanYu hesitated for a moment before deciding to speak out.
"May I ask Your Holiness, is Zhu Tianlin's true essence still in the Underworld?"
"In."
"He will."
Meng Po nodded lightly: "Nine out of ten."
Deng ChanYu weighed her words carefully: "Such a being who inflicts harm on living beings is not worthy of even a hundred deaths to atone for his sins. How can such an evil person be enshrined as a god after death? This... what is the rationale for this?"
Meng Po looked at her in surprise: "You must know that the path of heaven is constant, and it doesn't change for the sake of the virtuous or for the sake of the wicked."
Deng ChanYu was not satisfied with this answer: "Good and evil will always have their due... Although the will of heaven is difficult to question, I want to do my part. Madam, I want to take up the cause for those innocent victims who died a miserable death. I want to present this matter to heaven and argue that Zhu Tianlin does not deserve a place on the Enthronement List."
Di Zang has moved on from the pain of losing his Tien An, and his stance is that he doesn't fear a big issue, only a small one. He immediately took a clear stand in support: "Well said, well said. The monk is also willing to contribute his efforts."
Meng Po laughed, laughing brilliantly: "If you all join forces, the matter will become bigger. This is about causing trouble for the Heavenly Tribunal. Alright, summon Qin Guang Wang."
Deng ChanYu personally wrote an memorial to the Heavenly Court, appealing that Zhu Tianlin was excessively wicked and should not be enshrined as a god after death. Di Zang signed his own name, and in the end, it was Qin Guang Wang, one of the Ten Kings of Hell, who sent the memorial to the Heavenly Court for decision by Emperor Lord of the CelestialHeaven.
