"Lou Si" tightly grasped his wrist and shouted angrily, "Be bold!"
She was fine as long as she didn't speak. As soon as Qiu Wei spoke, he directly became furious and grabbed her neck to lift her up and slam her hard on the ground.
"Lou Si" spat out a mouthful of blood after the sudden fall, struggling to say, "Xu Wei, have you gone mad..."
The remaining words were not finished before Xu Wei kicked her hard and threw her out of the door, landing her heavily in the courtyard.
"Lou Si" rolled a few circles in the courtyard, blood flowing profusely from the corners of her mouth. With her hand on her stomach, she couldn't say a word to Xu Wei as he walked leisurely towards her.
I'll ask one more time, where is Lou Si! Xu Wei's eyes were terrifyingly cold, like those of a raging lion.
"Lou Si" gritted her teeth and said, "I don't know what you're talking about... Ah!!"
Xu Wei had no patience to listen to her nonsense and withdrew his long sword, brutally cutting off one of her legs.
"Where is Lou Si!"
Lou Si was in so much pain that she couldn't say a word. However, before she could take a breath, Xu Wei kicked her down and swung his sword to chop off her arm. Her blood mixed with her screams as it sprayed out.
"Where is Lou Si!" Xu Wei's voice was as cold as it came from the fiends of hell.
"Lou Si" was in so much pain that she couldn't even speak. She wanted to bite through the hidden poison in her mouth.
Xu Wei removed her chin first and dug out the poison in her mouth. Then he got up and waved his hand to cut off her nose and both ears.
I will ask one last time, where is Lou Si!
He suspected that Lou Si might have been hidden by Lou Zheng in the palace, but since he hadn't accompanied Lou Si out of the palace, he couldn't be sure whether she had been replaced by someone else on their return journey.
Lou Si was now determined to die, trying to say a few words but with her jaw dislocated, she couldn't sound like anything a human would say.
Even so, Xu Wei still understood a few words, "Emperor" and "palace."
Once he had obtained the answer he desired, Xu Wei didn't care about the imposter and called on Ban Xiang to lead the way to the palace with a group of people.
Xu Wei was determined to find Lou Si and he didn't care if he had to hurt someone in the process. The people around him, including Ban Xiang and the other guards, were equally resolute in their mission to locate her.
-
After bathing and changing clothes, Lou Si leaned against Lou Zheng's leg and dozed off. Lou Zheng was combing her still-wet hair with a comb while she rested.
"It's still early. Go to sleep."
He wore a satisfied smile on his face, and his voice was exceptionally gentle.
Lou Si opened her eyes and looked at him. She used the back of her hand to wipe the sweat from his chin, smiling and asking, "Zheng, do you think we'll go to the 18th layer of hell?"
Lou Zheng lowered his head to kiss her forehead, a soft tone in his voice, "You won't. I can go to the 18th layer of hell all by myself."
Upon hearing this, Lou Si's smile deepened even more, and she wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her head in his chest.
She really is evil to the bone, Lou Si thought in her heart.
She did it because she knew about Lou Zheng's background, so she felt no sense of guilt.
Unlike her, Lou Zheng had no idea about his own background, and he didn't know that they were not siblings...
"What are you thinking about?" Lou Zheng gently pinched her earlobe with his forefinger and thumb.
Lou Si pulled her thoughts back and said with concern, "I'm worried about the Empress and my uncle..."
"Don't worry." Lou Zheng gently patted her back and said, "I..."
Before he could finish his sentence, a panicked voice rang out from the door: "Your Majesty is in trouble. The guard accompanying Princess Chang has led a group of people into the palace!"
Lou Zheng's eyes grew cold. It had been two hours, and Xu Wei hadn't died as expected, even going so far as to lead a group into the palace.
Just as he was about to get up, Lou Si firmly grasped his hand and said, "He is very important to me. We can't kill him."
She had overlooked it, thinking that Xu Wei would notice something amiss and come to find her, but forgot that he would be impulsive enough to bring people into the palace.
Lou Zheng's expression, which had softened slightly because she was holding his hand, turned completely cold after hearing her words. He gripped her chin with one hand and leaned in to look at her, his tone losing the gentleness from just a moment ago.
"Is he more important to you than me in your heart?"
"Zheng." Lou Si's eyes were red: "You and he are different. If I really have to choose, I would definitely choose you. But he has a different meaning to me."
Lou Zheng stared at her for a long time before reaching out to wipe the tears from the corner of her eye. "Don't cry, I won't kill him, but only this once. There can't be anyone else by your side anymore."
Although she couldn't guarantee it, Lou Si nodded in agreement, after all, no one said that saying something necessarily had to be followed through on.
Seeing her agreement, Lou Zheng's face softened slightly, and he ordered the guards to bring Xu Wei in.
As soon as Xu Wei entered the room, he saw Lou Si lying on Lou Zheng's leg. His eyes narrowed, and he swung his sword at Lou Zheng.
Just as the tip of the sword was an inch away from Lou Zheng's body, Lou Si's voice boomed out, "Xu Wei, stop!"
Xu Wei's hand trembled slightly as he held the sword, but he did not lower it. His eyes, red and bloodshot, stared at Lou Si without speaking.
Lou Si, who knew him the best, stood up barefoot and walked in front of him, holding his hand softly in hers, "You both are very important to me. I don't want to see either of you hurt."
Xu Wei still held onto the sword tightly, and he truly intended to kill Lou Zheng.
Lou Si's eyes darkened slightly, but her face still wore a soft smile. "A Wei, you know as well as I do that I don't like people who don't listen."
Xu Wei heard these words and lowered his eyes, releasing the sword he had been holding.
Before Lou Si could say anything else, Lou Zheng blocked her words by sweeping her up in his arms and placing her on the bed.
"It's cold on the ground."
After saying that, he ignored Xu Wei's murderous gaze and gently kissed her forehead before saying, "You rest for a while longer. I'll be back after I finish my morning meeting to accompany you for breakfast."
"Okay."
After Lou Zheng left, Lou Si looked at Xu Wei, who was still standing motionless beside her, and patted the bed next to her. "You haven't slept all night, come over and rest for a while."
Xu Wei seemed to have ignored her words, still standing motionless.
Lou Si did not get angry but stood up barefoot and walked back to him with a smile on her face, watching him.
"What are you angry about, you also did the same thing in Yonghe Palace..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Xu Wei grabbed her into his arms and kissed her lips passionately, blocking out any other words she had wanted to say.
His voice carried a hint of fear, "I'm not angry. Please, stop talking. I beg you."
He was afraid of Lou Si mentioning the past, just as he was afraid of losing her.
A mocking smile flashed across Lou Si's eyes, and she pushed him away. "I'm very tired. Can you stay with me and sleep for a while?"
Xu Wei nodded, bent down to carry her to the bed, and hesitated for a moment before lying down beside her.
After lying down, both of them didn't say anything and didn't fall asleep either.
Lou Si touched her empty wrist, for no reason, she felt irritated. She found the bandage tied to the bed and bound it to her wrist, but she felt even more restless.
Xu Wei knew she couldn't sleep without the thick hemp rope, so he turned to her, wrapping her in his arms and asking, "Would you like to go back to Princess Mansion to sleep?"
"No need." Lou Si leaned against him, her lip curling up in a cold smile. "The sky is getting brighter, I should go visit my mother as well. I'm sure she misses me too."
