The Dark Robe's face was dark, and his gaze flicked between the White Swordman and Li Yunfan, as if sizing up the situation. Although Li Yunfan was injured, seeing the appearance of the White Swordman, a glimmer of hope sprang up in his heart.
"Who are you? Why do you interfere in this matter?" The Dark Robe's voice was low and threatening.
The White Swordman smiled slightly, and his long sword shook lightly in his hand, pointing at the Dark Robe. "Who I am is unimportant. What's important is that I cannot tolerate people like you who practice evil to do wrong in this place."
The Dark Robe scoffed coldly, and his hands formed seals again. The light in the array became more brilliant. The White Swordman's eyes tightened. He knew that the opponent was about to launch an attack.
"Be careful!" Li Yunfan shouted as a warning.
The White Swordman's figure flashed, and his long sword swung. Numerous sword qi attacks like solid objects rushed towards the Dark Robe. The Dark Robe was cautious, and he quickly activated the power of the array to form a light screen, blocking the sword qi attacks.
The clash between the sword qi and the light shield produced a deafening boom. Dust and smoke filled the cave, causing Li Yunfan to retreat quickly to avoid being affected.
The White Swordman's swordplay was highly skilled, and each strike contained a powerful force. However, the Dark Robe seemed to be equally adept, as his array could absorb and transform the attack's power, making it ineffective against him.
Their fight became more intense, and the air in the cave seemed to be torn apart. Li Yunfan watched from the sidelines, feeling both nervous and excited. He had never seen such a high-level battle before, which filled him with anticipation for his own cultivation path.
Suddenly, the Dark Robe roared with anger, and his array's light intensified, sending a powerful force towards the White Swordman. The White Swordman's sword qi seemed fragile in the face of this force, and he was struck, flying backwards and crashing heavily to the ground.
"Humph, do you think you can stop me?" The Dark Robe coldly laughed.
However, just as the Dark Robe felt triumphant, the White Swordman suddenly leapt from the ground. His long sword emitted a blinding glow, striking towards the Dark Robe's heart.
The Dark Robe's eyes widened in shock and terror. He hadn't expected that the White Swordman would still have the strength to counterattack. He hurriedly summoned the power of his array, trying to block the blow.
However, the White Swordman's sword had already penetrated his chest. The Dark Robe let out a painful scream. His body began to dissolve, eventually turning into a wisp of black smoke that vanished into the air.
The White Swordman retracted his sword, his body swaying slightly, clearly showing that he had expended great energy in the battle.
"Are you alright?" Li Yunfan hurriedly approached to ask.
The White Swordman shook his head: "I'm fine. I just consumed some essence. How about you?"
Li Yunfan patted his own chest; though there was still some pain, it was not serious: "I'm alright, thanks to you for saving me."
The White Swordman nodded and his gaze fell on the "Xing Chen Jue" in Li Yunfan's hand. "This treasure is very valuable. You must keep it well."
Li Yunfan nodded solemnly, "I will."
The White Swordman smiled slightly, taking out a jade tablet from his pocket, handing it to Li Yunfan: "This is my contact information. If you ever run into trouble, feel free to come to me." Li Yunfan took the jade tablet with gratitude in his heart: "Thank you, senior." The White Swordman waved his hand and left the cave. Li Yunfan watched his back, making up his mind inwardly; he would become stronger and no longer need others' protection.
