the negativity is true.
"How to manifest a divine being."
"Ten out of nine, stubborn emptiness."
If the foundation of life is accompanied by nature.
Making white face dumplings is reliable.
Chen Yun sat in the quiet room, and an ancient poem he had seen in a past life involuntarily popped into his mind.
The name of this poem is "Step by Step Grace, Negativity Is True". The author is not known for the time being.
From the content of this poem, Chen Yun could infer that the author was a practitioner of Daoism, with a profound understanding of Daoism and deep knowledge of the essence of Yang Shen.
Many people believe that one can cultivate the Yang Shen by merely focusing on unity and abstinence, a practice in Taoism that involves focusing the mind and thinking with precision to attain spiritual insight.
In reality, it is impossible to truly cultivate the Yang Shen through the practice of unity alone. Therefore, the poet used two words to describe the result of such a practice at the end of the line "Ten out of nine, stubborn emptiness."
"Stagnant emptiness" has two meanings.
The first, a term used in Buddhism, refers to a state of ignorance and unconsciousness, without thought or action.
Secondly, it is a derogatory term for the study of Buddhism and Daoism, implying that after hearing some of the empty truths of Buddhism or through their imagination, they perceive everything in the world as empty.
In short, everything does not exist.
Chen Yun knows that the "stagnant emptiness" in this poem refers to the second meaning.
If one simply adheres to the principle of unity, they will fall into a delusional state of clinging to the concept of "emptiness."
He agrees with this poem to a great extent that just as making a fried dough cake has its process, so does cultivating the Yang Shen have a traceable path.
Chen Yun muttered to himself, "As recorded in the 'Zhongxuan Pian': When the three families meet, they form a baby, and the baby contains true qi. After ten months of pregnancy, it becomes perfect and enters the foundation of sainthood."
What are the three families referred to in the poem?
In the theory of internal alchemy, the three elements are essence, qi, and spirit, which are referred to as the three families.
The three elements of qi, essence, and spirit are originally one whole in the nature, but they are divided into three parts after birth.
To achieve true immortality and longevity, one must reunite the three elements back into one.
When one reaches this level, it is known as the convergence of the three flowers at the top and the five qis facing the origin.
After decades of cultivating internal energy, Chen Yun received his teacher's "Song of Breaking the Confusion and Finding the True Path." He naturally understood how to cultivate the Yang Shen to achieve immortality among heaven and earth.
In fact, cultivating the Yang Shen is quite simple. It is nothing more than reaching the level of refining the spirit and returning to the void during cultivation. In this process, it will naturally form spontaneously.
When one's cultivation reaches a certain level, they may experience scenes of snowflakes dancing and flowers falling from the sky in front of their eyes. At this point, they are generally able to cultivate the Yang Shen.
Of course, the ability to manifest the Yang Shen is not guaranteed just because one's cultivation level has reached a certain level.
During the final stage of cultivating the Yang Shen, various illusions and demonic realms may interfere.
Only by overcoming this tribulation can one truly become a deity.
"I have gone through the stages of sainthood pregnancy and nurturing the infant. Now I am in the phase of cultivating the spirit and entering a visionary state. It is necessary to strengthen the essence spirit daily and refine away the impurities within."
Chen Yun kept recalling the process of cultivating the Yang Shen, "Firstly, I need to enter a state of emptiness to conduct the refining of impurities."
Thinking, he excluded distractions and allowed himself to enter a state of emptiness. Using the bit of divine light given by the Western King Mother, he began to refine the impurities.
……
On the other side, the first round of the war between the Khitans and Later Jin was in full swing.
Since the main forces of Later Jin were deployed along the Chenzhou line, relying on their strong fortifications, they successfully impeded the advance of Yelin Dagong's Eastern Route army.
Yelü Deguang then sent his cousin Ma Da to lead tens of thousands of soldiers to attack Bozhou from the east, aiming to cross the Majia Pass and meet with the Jin rebel commander Yang Guangyuan to envelop from the flanks, capturing Yanzhou and attacking the main Later Jin army head-on.
Once the Khitans joined forces with Yang Guangyuan to capture Yanzhou, the Jin capital would be directly exposed to the cavalry of the Khitans.
On the first day of the second lunar month, Ma Da led his troops to the outskirts of Bozhou. The Later Jin's governor of Bozhou, Zhou Ru, colluded with Yang Guangyuan and suddenly surrendered the city to the Khitans, leading them to cross the river at Majia Pass.
The garrison of Yuncheng was limited, and the commander Guo Jiannian ordered people to send an urgent message to Shi Chengui while dispatching the Left Wuwei General Cai Xingyun to lead hundreds of horsemen to intercept northward.
Cai Xingyun was captured after being ambushed, and his troops were quickly defeated.
Upon receiving the urgent report, the Jin court immediately ordered He Chongjin, Bai Zairong, An Yanwei, and others to reinforce the defenses at Majia Pass, Yangliu, Majia Pass, and Heyang.
At the same time, the Jin court dispatched the Imperial Guard's Marine Commandant Li Shouzhen and Divine Military Commander Huang Fu Yu to lead over a hundred thousand troops, marching both land and water routes, in order to intercept at Majia Pass.
When Li Shouzhen and his troops arrived at Majia Pass, the Khitans had already built fortifications on the east side of the Yellow River, protecting their subsequent crossing.
At this point, the Khitan Emperor Yelü Deguang still believed that without the help of Chen Yun and the Second Son of God, he could still lead his troops to annihilate the Later Jin.
However, Yelü Deguang did not have much time to celebrate, as a sudden reversal of events occurred.
Li Shouzhen and his troops launched a surprise attack on the Khitan army, which was halfway across the river, and captured their east shore fortifications.
The Khitan army on the east bank then dispersed, with thousands drowned and captured or killed.
The Khitan army on the west bank was also greatly shocked, and they did not dare to cross the Yellow River to attack southward, but retreated in confusion back to the north.
While the main forces of the Jin army were diverted to support the front line at Majia Pass, Yelü Deguang seized the opportunity to attack Qi City.
The northern advance camp of the Jin army's commander, Shi Gongba, was first engaged by the Khitan cavalry and was quickly surrounded.
The Jin army's front-line forces led by Gao Xinghou and Fu Yanqing were sent to rescue Shi Gongba, but they also fell into the encirclement of the Khitan army.
Upon receiving a request for help, the Imperial Camp Commander Jing Yanguang sat by and watched as the three generals were trapped in Qi City.
The Khitan Emperor Yelü Deguang once again saw a glimmer of hope, believing that this time he was surely going to win.
Who would have thought that there would be another twist in the story.
After learning about the situation, Emperor Stone of Later Jin immediately led his personal guards to relieve the siege. With the reinforcements from Gao Xinghou's determined defense in Qi City, they worked together to decisively defeat the Khitan army and lifted the siege on Qi City.
For a time, the Khitan army was caught in a dilemma, unable to advance or retreat.
Firstly, the Khitan army cannot cross the Yellow River, so they cannot inflict a deadly blow on the Later Jin court.
Secondly, the Later Jin is now fully prepared for defense and is even hinting at a counterattack. If the Khitan army retreats at this point, there is a high possibility that they will be surrounded and wiped out.
Yuancheng.
Yelü Deguang stared down at the soldiers below with a gloomy expression, wanting to curse several times.
In the end, he took a deep breath and still did not curse out loud, but with a tired expression, he waved his hand and said, "Zhao Yanshou stay behind. The rest of you can leave."
The soldiers dared not defy the order and scattered out of the room.
Zhao Yanshou stood up and approached, respectfully asking, "Your Majesty, by leaving me behind, is there any important matter you wish to discuss?"
Yelü Deguang bitterly laughed and said, "I had never listened to the advice of my minister before, which led him to leave in anger. You tell me, wasn't I mistaken?"
Zhao Yanshou indeed thought that Yelü Deguang had made a mistake in this matter, but how dare he speak it out loud.
He spoke carefully, "Your Majesty is not wrong, nor is the country master wrong."
Yelü Deguang asked with a hint of curiosity, "Oh, what do you mean by that?"
Zhao Yanshou said, "The country master is a man of the gods. He may have predicted something, but it was not convenient for him to tell us. That's why he hoped the emperor would accept the surrender of Later Jin first and then seek some benefits. However, although the emperor is heavenly and esteemed, he does not understand the spirits or ghosts. How could he know the intentions of the country master? Our army had overwhelming advantages at that time. Any emperor who came over, whether it was Emperor Gaozu of Han or Emperor Taizong of Tang, I believe they would make such a choice. Therefore, I say that the country master is right, Your Majesty. You are naturally right as well."
Yelü Deguang, hearing Zhao Yanshou compare him to the Han Emperor Gaozu and the Tang Emperor Taizong, felt much better instantly, "Ah, with the continuous losses now, I have some regrets for not listening to the country master's words."
Zhao Yanshou said, "I believe that although our army has suffered a defeat in this battle, there is still a chance for us to win the war."
Yelü Deguang's eyes lit up, and he asked, "What brilliant plan do you have? Please explain."
Zhao Yanshou replied, "The Jin army has set up barriers along the river, all of them afraid of our might and unwilling to fight. If we lead a large army directly to the Shanyuan region and occupy their bridges, it is certainly possible for us to win."
Yelü Deguang did not immediately respond, but rather thought about it carefully for a while.
He thought more and more that Zhao Yanshou's proposal was feasible.
And he was very eager to prove that he could win this war even without the assistance of Chen Yun.
Therefore, Yelü Deguang said, "Bring me the campaign map. I will take a look and make further plans."
Zhao Yanshou quickly retrieved the campaign map.
The two of them discussed for a long time in the room, finally deciding that the plan was feasible, and then summoned the soldiers to discuss engaging in a decisive battle with the Later Jin.
Yelü Deguang suppressed a sense of anger, wanting to prove his own strength!
……
Qingcheng Mountain, Dafang Peak.
In the quiet room, Chen Yun may have the "all-knowing perspective," but his attention was not on the battlefield at that moment, so he did not notice the situation.
Or he might have noticed, but he wouldn't care about it because he has more important things to do.
It had been more than ten days since Chen Yun had entered his closed door meditation.
With the help of a bit of divine light from the Western Queen Mother, Chen Yun had already refined away much of the yin residue within his spiritual realm.
With the refinement of yin impurities, his spiritual essence shrank considerably.
From originally being several feet long to now only a few inches, it can be said that his spiritual essence has become much more condensed.
Although his spiritual essence has been greatly condensed, this condensation is equivalent to "essence."
Now Chen Yun's spiritual essence was scarlet red, as if it had turned into a "fire man," and even contained a trace of white light within.
Feeling his own spiritual essence, Chen Yun thought to himself, "Now I have refined away more than half of the yin residue within my spiritual essence. All that is needed is to refine it completely white to achieve yin exhaustion and yang purity."
He estimated that it would take another ten days for his spiritual essence to become completely yin-exhausting and yang-pure.
Although this was the case, it did not mean that he could achieve an out-of-body experience in ten days.
The main reason is that too much yin residue has been refined from his spiritual essence, greatly reducing the "quantity" of energy it contains, which is far from meeting the standards for an out-of-body experience.
After achieving yin exhaustion and yang purity in one's spiritual essence, one still needs to continue strengthening the yang body.
Only when it reaches a certain level of strength can one truly achieve an out-of-body experience.
Chen Yun's heart was clear, and he continued to practice with self-restraint.
Time went by day after day.
The second day, more yin residue was refined from his spiritual essence.
The third day, the degree of "whitening" of his spiritual essence reached about 10%.
The fifth day, the degree of "whitening" of his spiritual essence reached about 15%.
The eighth day... The tenth day...
Time passed in the process of cultivation.
...
About 35 days later.
Chen Yun, who was meditating in seclusion, suddenly opened his eyes, and a ray of white light flashed from his eyes.
He couldn't help but laugh loudly, "Ha ha, ha ha, I have finally refined away all the yin residue, making my spiritual essence yin-exhausting and yang-pure!"
Although the time was longer than he initially anticipated, over ten days, the joy of achieving yin exhaustion and yang purity made him burst into flower.
To be honest, Chen Yun has never felt such joy as he did now when making any breakthrough in his cultivation practice.
At this stage of cultivation, he is only one step away from achieving an out-of-body experience!
In a nutshell, he has already cultivated out his yang body.
It's just that the baby is weak and cannot leave the body out temporarily.
It is precisely because he knows that he can achieve an out-of-body experience that Chen Yun is so excited and nearly out of control.
Perhaps Chen Yun hadn't realized that he had reached a crucial test stage in achieving an out-of-body experience.
If he could pass the test, then once his yang body appeared, he would achieve immortality.
However, if he fails to pass the test, even if he does truly achieve an out-of-body experience, he will eventually become lost in the Illusionary Demon Realm.
Perhaps he was too mad, Chen Yun noticed it himself.
He quickly restrained his intense joy and warned himself, "The yang body has not yet emerged; I cannot become so overconfident."
He tried his best to maintain a stable mindset and eliminate all internal distractions.
Despite his efforts to suppress the thoughts in his mind, Chen Yun couldn't help but indulge in random musings, "The 'Song of Breaking Illusion and Correcting the Path' says: 'This is the elixir of the fire of patience, all relying on the conjunction in the Huangting. The primordial qi is a thousand years of medicine, always existing through countless transformations without a spring night, an infant image within three thousand moments, transformed into an immortal spirit with a hundred days of work, a pure yang body formed in ten months. Naturally, cold and heat do not invade it. auspicious clouds envelop the jade body, phoenixes and cranes dance before me. Twin princesses hold purple edicts, names inscribed on jade registers calling immortals. The golden light envelops the body, making it hard for others to see; maintaining decorum and authority to both sides. The immortal cranes lead to visit the yuan palace; flying up to Shangjing in daylight.'"
As long as he can achieve an out-of-body experience, he can become a deity and fly up to Shangjing in daylight!
Chen Yun became increasingly excited, and his entire person seemed to be descending into a magical trance.
Actually, having such thoughts is quite normal for him.
Because as soon as his spiritual essence became yin-exhausting and yang-pure, his "humanity" began to be affected by the "divinity," leaving the remaining "humanity" making him lose his mind.
"No! I cannot be like this!"
Chen Yun suppressed the thoughts in his head once again and took a deep breath, "Otherwise, I really might get lost in the magical realm."
He knew it wasn't the time for joy.
Now, he was merely approaching the state of achieving an out-of-body experience, but had not actually reached the level of a deity.
To avoid the excitement from affecting his subsequent cultivation, Chen Yun temporarily stopped practicing and sat there, constantly calibrating his mind.
An hour...
Three hours...
Soon, a day passed.
Finally, Chen Yun's heart was as still as water.
He felt that nothing in the world could affect him any longer, and he nodded slightly with satisfaction, "With this, I can proceed to the final stage of strengthening my yang body to achieve the state of out-of-body experience."
Thinking about it, he again entered meditation, allowing himself to be drawn into the "void."
A trace of divine light, guarding the spiritual realm.
Chen Yun practiced the fifth turn of the "Inner Elixir Technique of Mr. Chen," using the elixir qi to continuously strengthen his yang body.
This will be a relatively long process.
He had previously guessed that it would take at least six months.
This is because he has the assistance of a bit of divine light granted by the Western Queen Mother; in reality, it takes an ordinary person six years.
Originally, Chen Yun believed so.
The surprising result was that soon after Chen Yun entered the "void," he faintly heard music in his ears.
Followed by, waves of strange fragrance filled the air, piercing his nostrils.
Chen Yun felt quite confused at the time. How could he still "smell" with his spiritual realm entered?
He hadn't come to his senses to think about it when the whole sky suddenly became brightly illuminated.
Chen Yun was taken aback again. Wasn't he meditating in the room? How could he suddenly see the sky?
Without thinking, Chen Yun turned to look up at the sky. What he saw was a layer of auspicious qi covering the clouds, turning the sky into a colorful landscape. Group after group of immortal cranes danced and swirled in the sky, as if an enchanting realm had descended to Earth.
In an instant, the clouds parted.
From among the clouds, a jade capital mountain emerged.
The palace in the mountain is adorned with gold and jade.
This is the jade capital mountain, surrounded by nine hundred thousand miles, above the highest heaven.
There are seven palace cities on the city walls, a seven-treasure platform within the palace, and three palaces: upper, middle, and lower. They resemble a single palace city with two hundred forty gates on one side.
The four directions produce eight treasure forests, with green leaves, red fruits, and five-color chrysanthemums. There are ten thousand and two kinds of chrysanthemums on the trees, and the lotus flowers in the pond are one hundred ten feet in diameter.
The jade capital has eight hundred and eleven thousand sky paths leading to eight hundred and eleven thousand mountains and caves.
Chen Yun was looking on in surprise and uncertainty, not understanding how long he had been in the "void" to see the celestial white jade capital.
Suddenly, a fierce wind arose, fragrant aroma mixed with various scents. Dragons roared and tigers howled, pacing around in the air.
After a while, purple clouds covered the forest, and suddenly a true immortal appeared: his eyes were square, his neck bore a round aura, his facial features were unparalleled in the heavens. He rode in a white qilin chariot, brandishing nine banners of command, his belt was adorned with embroidery of jade and phoenixes, and he wore a crown with six spiritual stones. He was about twenty years old, with attendants holding fire of nightlight, and an army of jade feather guards numbering in the thousands. He addressed Chen Yun: "Are you Chen Pu?"
Chen Yun hurriedly bowed and replied, "I am indeed Chen Pu."
Aguangtai True King laughed heartily, "Congratulations, Chen Master, for reaching the stage of Three Flowers Converging at the Summit and Five Auras Gathering at the Core, and for attaining the status of a deity. Today, I have specially come to take you to ascend into the heavens and enter my supreme palace to honor you as a deity."
Upon hearing this, Chen Yun asked uncertainly, "Have I really reached the stage of Three Flowers Converging at the Summit and Five Auras Gathering at the Core to become a deity?"
Aguangtai True King smiled and nodded, "Yes, Chen Master has completed all his merits."
Upon hearing this, a burst of joy erupted from Chen Yun's heart, and he could no longer contain his emotions, letting out a hearty laugh, "I did it! I've achieved an out-of-body experience! Ha ha! Hahaha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha! It worked! Three flowers converging at the summit, five auras gathering at the core! The seven treasures of JADE CAPITAL MOUNTAIN in the highest heaven sky path! I saw them! I saw everything! Aguangtai True King! Come and take me to the Supreme Palace of Saintness!"
