Chapter 1242: Weak Gryffindor

Genres:Sci-Fi and Supernatural Last update:25/03/21 12:30:36
As if a real shooting star collided with the earth, the silver shooting star pierced by Neville touched the land covered with falling leaves, and in that instant, an endless brilliance engulfed everyone's vision. Astoria's thin figure was blown away like a desolate leaf!

    "Astoria!"

    Boom!

Draco roared wildly, but his roar was then suppressed by a storm that swept across in a manner like plowing through the courtyard and sweeping away the nests.

The gust of wind that rushed towards them even pushed Draco back a few steps.

"Lupin, I'm going to kill you!"

In the roar and howl, Pancake's face contorted as she screamed, trying to advance, but the fierce wind robbed her of her balance, throwing her entire body on the ground and sweeping her backwards several feet!

Under Neville's powerful and heavy strike, everyone in the field received varying degrees of impact.

The explosion kicked up soil and broken leaves that splattered into the woods, forcing Bres and Nut to retreat again as they emerged to investigate.

The notes that Luna had been floating in the void were swept away by the aftereffects of the explosion, one after another extinguishing, and the resulting magical backlash caused Luna to furrow her brow, expressing pain.

    As for Cedric.

Cedric's experience was much the same as Pancake's. Facing Draco and Pancake with no room for slack, Cedric was pushed backward by the storm and fell heavily to the ground, rolling over twice before he finally regained his balance.

Just as Cedric was overcoming the gradually subsiding storm and preparing to get up from the ground, a hand had already reached out in front of him.

    "Neville?"

Cedric, looking at Neville's resolute face, was slightly stunned.

"Block Bres and Nut in the woods, Cedric!"

Neville grabbed Cedric's hand and pulled him up, then turned to the gasping Luna and shouted,

"Hold off Parkinson for a minute, I will face Malfour alone!"

Draco, who had steadied his body and cast a heart-pounding gaze at the motionless Astoria lying on her side, suddenly shifted his head to glare fiercely at Neville.

"You actually dared. Lupin, I will make you regret your actions!"

The battlefield, which was previously tense, now had a new change.

Just as Pancake was about to rush to Drako's aid, regardless of whether it was a one-on-one fight, making Lupin fall was the most important thing, but before she took a step, a series of colorful notes had already shattered the air, forcing her to retreat repeatedly.

And Bres and Nut were almost in the same situation.

The forest was complex in its terrain, with obstacles everywhere blocking the way, making it difficult to break through against the determined Cedric who was trying to stop them.

Nottingham and Bres, behind two trees, exchanged a glance and then ran off in two different directions.

However, Cedric seemed to have anticipated this scene. Instead of attacking the two, he began firing wildly at the trees in the forest.

For a moment, stones were scattered and dust flew in the forest.

    Held off!

Always keeping an eye on the situation, Neville secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Based on the current situation, Luna and Cedric should be able to buy him a minute.

    "Lupin"

Draco's gasping whisper startled Neville, and his focus refocused on Draco's face. The twisted expression sent a chill down his spine.

"Want to show heroism, isn't that like Potter?"

Neville remained silent for a moment,

"I just want to defeat you all, so that our team can win the final victory."

"Then let's see, let me see how powerful you are now!"

Draco roared and lunged at Neville.

This unwise move even surprised Neville slightly.

Anyone with half a brain can see that fighting a wizard who is holding a wand capable of cutting is incredibly unwise, so, just then, Bres and Nut were extremely cautious and kept their distance from themselves.

But Draco actually crossed the safety line and attacked him.

This action was undoubtedly reckless, but at the same time, Neville also felt a sense of inexplicable pressure from Draco's choice.

However, this was something Neville could not change.

Four eyes met, and both could sense the unwavering determination in each other's heart.

Their eyes locked, both sensing the unyielding resolve in the other's heart. As they approached each other, closing the distance to just fifteen feet, and in the next second were about to collide, Draco stopped first. His grey eyes glinted with ferocity, and his wand shook lightly as two thick, wrist-sized black serpents shot out with a hiss.

After the two black serpents landed, their tails swung rapidly, forcing Neville to dodge them from both sides.

While Draco held his wand tightly, narrowing his eyes and firmly locking onto Neville, he wasn't in a hurry to launch an attack.

    Don't act impulsively!

Neville immediately realized the severity of the situation.

Malfour didn't strike because he was calculating Neville's dodge move, not because he was giving himself time to catch his breath!

Neville remained calm as well. His gaze was firmly fixed on the poised Draco, while the corner of his eye kept an eye on the two venomous snakes approaching from either side.

One of the venomous snakes swished its tail, leaving a shadow in Neville's field of vision as it rapidly approached his back. The other snake appeared suddenly in front of him to his right.

The two venomous snakes, each about six inches long, were hiding under the dry leaves on their stomachs, while the other half of their bodies arched and swayed slightly, opening their mouths to reveal sharp fangs and showing signs of alertness. Their red forked tongues flicked incessantly, and their dark red eyes shone with malevolence!

In the intense competition, the brief silence between Draco and Neville was so out of place.

    "What's wrong, Lupin?"

Draco's lips curved into a mocking smile, and he said,

" Aren't you supposed to kill me?"

"I was planning to do just that."

Neville replied coldly, his tone full of dominance.

Without giving Draco a chance to continue his verbal attack, Neville's gaze turned sharp. He stepped forward, bending his knees, appearing determined and unyielding.

This deceptive pose immediately fooled the two venomous snakes on the ground.

Just like a compressed spring, two venomous snakes leapt up from the ground one after the other, like black lightning penetrating through the murky air, their pale fangs clamping down on Neville's right arm and left shoulder.

However, Neville did not rush towards Draco as expected. Instead, he quickly adjusted his body's center of gravity, jumped up abruptly, and performed a daring backflip to avoid the venomous snake attacking from behind.

Draco's eyelids twitched rapidly, and finally, he acted. A black ray of magic shot out like an arrow, aiming directly at Lupin's landing spot!

It must be said that even though his anger was overflowing, Draco maintained a commendable level of rationality.

This round of attack was perfectly coordinated. Even though Neville performed an incredible dodge that a normal wizard could never accomplish, it seemed as though he could not evade Draco's deadly strike. Seemingly so!

Draco's intention was already very clear, and Neville should have been able to see it.

As Neville flipped over in a somersault, still in the air, he swept his sword across in a back dive position,

    "Full of obstacles!"

With a flash of blue-green sparks, the powerful obstacle spell even directly froze the two venomous snakes in mid-air, while Draco's curse slowed to a crawl as it entered the range of the obstacle spell!

    Clang!

The silver sword sliced through the air with a chilling crescent moon, accompanied by two bangs, as Draco's two venomous snakes turned into wisps of white smoke rising.

Neville dodged Draco's curse, positioning himself by the sword and edge, while for the first time, Draco's gray eyes flashed with a hint of malevolence. He stepped forward as well!

The silver sword slashed sideways at Draco's wand, but only managed to cut a few strands of his golden hair. Draco side-stepped and lowered his head, aiming his wand at Neville's chin. However, the spell light shooting out from the tip of the wand was also avoided by Neville's large-scale backflip movement!

The figures of the two men intertwined within a tiny distance, with streaks of spell light that emitted a sharp screech flying off in all directions. The dangerous yet narrow evasions were so close that the audience watching the duel erupted in cries of amazement!

Soon, Draco's sportswear was shredded into a disordered mess, and the blood oozing from the wound on his right shoulder stained his sleeve!

Neville's forehead was charred and blackened, with trickles of blood mingling with the rest of his face.

But both of their actions showed no hesitation. Compared to the tortures he had suffered at the hands of Professor Bran, these injuries were practically insignificant.

As their bodies intersected once again, and their gazes met for a moment, Neville and Draco both confirmed what the other was thinking.

In this duel, one of them must fall first!
