Students stirred restlessly, whispering their dissatisfaction with Professor Lahrson's remarks.

    "Doesn't that sound quite mystical?"

Fenrir, beside Harry, folded his arms and said dubiously.

"Since you believe we cannot master the profound knowledge of this course, why does the school offer it, Professor Lahrson?"

Harry's teammate in the Gryffindor Quidditch team, Katie Bell raised her hand to ask.

    "An excellent question, Miss Bell—"

Professor Lahrson pronounced Katie's surname correctly, which seemed to indicate that he had done his homework before the class began.

"Meditation Class – for the sake of calling it like this –"

Florem moved around in the seedlings field,

"In fact, you may not know that it was Professor Brain who invited me to teach this course at Hogwarts."

"I'm delighted to pass this ancient tradition on to you young and energetic individuals, but in fact I have already mentioned your inquiry to Professor Brain. This course requires some very special qualities from those who wish to study it. Even if I were to give everything I have, it's likely that only a few will truly master it."

    "What did Professor Brain say?"

Ernie on Harry's other side eagerly asked.

"After hearing my detailed explanation of the course, Professor Brain still insists that I should teach it—"

    Professor Lahrson said,

"His view is that this is a very practical course for wizards, even if you cannot master profound knowledge. Every bit of improvement in your study of this course can greatly benefit you and improve your strength."

    Increase strength?

Those who were previously lukewarm suddenly became energetic.

Professor Brain, a high-level wizard of this level, having such an evaluation of the meditation class undoubtedly means that there are indeed some secrets to it.

At least it's more practical than divination, muggle studies, and astronomy.

Even Malfoy, whose thoughts were full of mischief, widened his eyes.

The completely different attitudes of the young witches and wizards towards the front and back fell into Flamel's eyes, making him feel a sense of nostalgia.

It is clear that Brain holds a high status in the magical world!

"Is there anyone else who needs me to answer a question?"

    Professor Lahrson asked again.

"Professor Lahrson, what are these seedlings?"

This was a question from Cedric.

"They are sapling of an oak, Mr. Digory--"

    Professor Lahrson said calmly,

"The oak – in our ancient tradition, it has a special significance. The oak is not a magical plant, but it has good compatibility with magic. It's a fine material for wands. Moreover, its soul activity is very high, surpassing that of the magical plants you are familiar with. Therefore, we can more easily sense its thoughts."

    "Soul. Thoughts?"

    Cedric asked, full of confusion,

"Professor Lahrson, aren't oaks just plants? I thought only humans or animals have souls and thoughts?"

"I have a different opinion from yours, Mr. Digory--"

    Professor Lahrson said mildly,

"All things in the world, all species that have life possess souls, and this includes every blade of grass and tree. Of course, this view may go beyond your common sense, but if you wish to delve deeper into it, you must accept this perspective and view all creatures equally in your heart."

    Equal treatment?

Harry grinned slightly, realizing that he had caught a glimpse of the threshold of which Professor Lahrson was speaking.

Not to mention treating all life equally, many people on the Slytherin side even divide the purity of wizard blood into superior and inferior.

    "So——"

This is a completely out-of-body course, Hermione struggling to understand,

"We need to interact with these oak seedlings, um, sense their thoughts?"

"You are very smart, Miss Granger,"

    Professor Lahrson smiled and said,

"But, that is something you will need to practice later. Before that, we still need to reach certain states."

Harry thought, That's strange. However, Professor Lahrson did not immediately explain. He clapped his hands a few times, indicating that the students should be quiet.

"I have prepared some cushions in the backyard. Could you please have the prefects bring them over and distribute them to all the students?"

The disturbance lasted for about twenty minutes until the golden fragmented rays formed a mottled shadow on their bodies. Everyone finally received a hard cushion woven from withered vines.

Professor Lahrson clapped his hands a few more times,

"Now, I ask you to sit down. You can sit anywhere as long as you can hear me speak."

Another disturbance arose, and no one stepped into Professor Lahrson's seedling field. Most of them sat in a row around the seedling field.

A few Hufflepuff students ran to sit on the platform in front of the cabin, and Professor Lahrson didn't mind either. However, he prevented Fred and George from climbing onto the roof of his house.

Ron wanted to sit with Harry and the others, but he was tied up by Lavender.

And Harry got close to Hermione and Ginny.

"Why can't we have something softer to sit on?"

Ginny whispered, although reluctantly, she put the withered vine cushion under her bottom. At least it could separate the dampness from the ground.

Harry suddenly felt a strong urge to invite Ginny to sit on his lap, but this crazy idea scared him at once. He slapped himself hard without warning!

    "What are you doing, Harry?"

The two girls in front of him turned around in shock and surprised, Hermione asked.

    "Oh, nothing, Hermione--"

Harry was relieved that it was dim, and they couldn't see the blush on his face due to his shame.

"There are mosquitoes in the forest."

    Harry whispered the explanation.

The students sat down, looking eagerly at Professor Lahrson.

"Now, I need everyone to remain calm."

    Professor Lahrson said.

    Maintain calm?

The young witches looked confused at Professor Lahrson.

"The first step to achieving genuine peace is to clear your mind of all thoughts, think of nothing, and let the magic within your body calm down."

Let the magic within your body stabilize?

    Harry unconsciously furrowed his brow.

Magic is like the blood flowing within your body, naturally and automatically. Controlling magic is a skill that Hogwarts has never taught.

"How do we do that, Professor?"

    Malfoy asked impatiently.

"Perhaps you haven't realized that magic can be controlled by spirit."

Professor Lahrson didn't take offense at Malfoy's disrespectful tone and offered suggestions in a calm voice,

"If you don't understand, think about the chaotic feeling before you go to sleep each night. I mean, the state of mind before you sleep. In that state, you are calm and so is the magic."

    Many people scratched their heads.

    Even Hermione looked puzzled.

Among all the courses at Hogwarts, even Professor Brain's sports class, there has never been such an abstract course before!

"Let your heart and magic completely calm down, that is the first step you need to master in the meditation class."

    Professor Lahrson said calmly,

"Don't underestimate the difficulty of this. I dare say, perhaps by the end of the school year, many people won't be able to do it."

Think of nothing, clear your mind, just like before you fall asleep.

It sounds simple, but Harry realized the difficulty of it only when he actually tried to do it!

Harry tried his best to eliminate distractions, but he quickly realized that the very thought of eliminating distractions itself was a distraction!

Professor Lahrson's requirements were equivalent to making them fall asleep while keeping their consciousness alert, which was nothing but a paradox!

Many people, including Harry, also closed their eyes.

However, there are always some scenes jumping out in the void darkness.

His dreams about the long corridor and door, Malfoy's strange actions, Sirius's current situation, what Voldemort was up to lately, Professor Brain's face, and

After the surrounding quiet, the scent that filled the nostrils became particularly strong!

Damn it, Harry, what are you thinking? Ginny is Ron's sister!

Harry scolded himself, but the image of Ginny in a mint green nightgown, wearing her hair down and showing her smooth and silky white skin, remained firmly etched in his mind during the summer vacation.

He was so busy trying to shake off this shameful thought that he didn't realize his heart was becoming more restless.

    Huff, Huff...

Suddenly, the forest, which was only filled with the sounds of insects and birds, resounded with a thunderous snoring sound.

    Harry immediately opened his eyes.

"Aha, Mr. Crabbe and Mr. Goyle--"

Professor Lahrson looked at the two burly figures leaning against a tree stump and said with a wry smile,

    "They're asleep."
