Chapter 1186: The Goal of Striving

The golden dawn like water waves the thin mist of the lush green mountains and ridges covered, standing on the cliffs shrouded by the mist Hogwarts becomes vague.

In the early morning, the quiet of the Hogwarts Station, with only a couple of staff on duty, was broken by a train that was not part of the scheduled run.

The house-elves moved quickly, removing one by one the enchanted wooden crates from the train in just a few minutes and loading them onto the ordinary wizard's carriage used for daily transportation.

After two shouts, the dark horses pulled the squeaky carriage to Hogwarts.

After a few casual chats, Lee, Percy, Penelope, and the workshop workers boarded the Hogwarts Express for their return trip.

Before reaching the Diagon Alley station, they had enough time to rest and relieve the tense spirits they had been maintaining for the past two days.

Meanwhile, Armostat alone escorted the entire convoy to Hogwarts.

The caravan did not stop at the grand iron gates of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry; instead, it drove directly into the campus, until it reached the grand marble steps in front of the castle, where Professor McGonagall and Hagrid had been waiting with the kitchen elves for quite some time.

The sight of at least twenty carriages, each pulling heavy boxes, lined up neatly in front of the gates was awe-inspiring. At least, Professor McGonagall and Hagrid showed shocked expressions.

    "Wow, Armostat!"

Professor McGonagall hurried down the steps, coming to stand beside Armostat, who had landed neatly on top of the carriage and was wiping the morning dew from his hair.

    "All of these?"

Professor McGonagall reached out with one hand, touching the box with her fingertip. The wrinkles on her face relaxed considerably.

    "Hmm..."

Armostat stretched, yawning widely with an expression of ease on his face.

"That's right. Most of the gold from the American magical world is still in the headquarters of Gringotts World Bank in Paris. I haven't drawn it all out, and the gold here should be enough to keep the school running for at least a year."

Professor McGonagall blew her nose loudly, looking both surprised and touched.

But then, Professor McGonagall crossed her fingers in front of her chest, and her expression turned somewhat uneasy.

"But it's all your gold, Armostat. I'm not sure, I don't know if it's appropriate."

"Oh, it's my own gold, Professor McGonagall."

Armostat gave Professor McGonagall a reassuring smile.

"I don't know how you've come to such misunderstandings."

These funds come from the profits of the Learning Machine Workshop, and the invention of this product, the learning machine, could not have been possible without the efforts of all the professors at Hogwarts.

It uses your "knowledge", so in essence, this gold belongs to all the professors. Oh, if you don't want to put it into the school's operation."

"Oh, what nonsense are you talking about, Armostat."

Professor McGonagall smiled with a half-closed mouth.

"We would be delighted. Ah, but I do indeed not mind slightly improving the salaries and treatment of the professors."

Three hearty laughs were heard from the marble steps below.

The School Board had always been like a heavy mountain weighing down on Hogwarts, but for nearly half a century, Albus Dumbledore's presence as the headmaster had imposed such a great influence that the Board was held back, hesitant to interfere too much with the internal affairs of Hogwarts.

However, from time to time, the School Board would step forward to demonstrate their existence, dragging down the school.

Now, to have that mountain lifted from their heads, this is something the professors are delighted to see.

    "You're virtually omnipotent, Professor Brian."

Hagrid also muttered with a low voice,

"If ever you allow me to raise dragons, I'll"

"That would be against wizarding law, Hagrid."

    Professor McGonagall sternly said.

    "It's not impossible, Hagrid——"

    Armostat calmly smiled.

"To establish a fire dragon nature reserve in the Forbidden Forest, which can be both a tourist attraction and allow young witches and wizards to gain some knowledge, oh, of course, it's not the right time for this now."

The sky was already lightening up, and the castle could hear some small witches and wizards downstairs. Following Armostat's instructions, the house-elves began to take action.

The house-elves who could apparate within the school simply took each box and vanished through the doorway.

According to the previous agreement, this batch of gold will be stored in the underground room where the professors hid the Philosopher's Stone a few years ago.

Shortly after, most of the boxes were taken away by the house-elves, leaving only one.

Professor McGonagall waved her wand to unlock the clasp on the box.

    Rrrrraaa!

When the box was opened, piles of galleons fell out of the box with a clinking sound.

A mountain-like heap of golden coins, each as large as a car hood, shone with a breathtaking golden glow under the morning light!

    "Oh, my heavens!"

The upstairs of the castle echoed with the screams of small witches and wizards, and Professor McGonagall immediately turned her head, frowning severely, and said.

"Is there nothing for you to do this early in the morning, Mr. Fenelli!"

The few small witches who had their heads peeking out quickly retracted them, silently observing in trepidation, but their eyes exchanged excitement between them.

Armostat smiled slightly. He knew Professor McGonagall had deliberately opened the box to give some confidence to the small witches and wizards.

    "Hagrid--"

After scaring away a few small witches, Professor McGonagall turned to look at Hagrid.

"Please take this box of gold to Hogsmeade. We need to settle the accounts with the villagers there, and the rest is here is a shopping list, things the professors for each of our classes need as teaching supplies that must be purchased today. I think Mr. Potter and the others have been worn out enough."

    "No problem, Professor."

Hagrid said, then pulled out his wand from his pocket and retrieved all the gold that had fallen to the grass. After putting all of it back into the box, he closed it and drove the nifflers toward the gate of the school.

"Do you need a rest, Armostat?"

The two of them walked together towards the entrance hall, Professor McGonagall looking concerned as she watched Armostat.

"I know you didn't sleep much last night."

"Thank you for your concern, Professor McGonagall, but I'm afraid I can't--"

Armostat's voice was filled with emotion.

"Solved a problem. But there's still no idle time. Now that the funds are in place, we have to quickly prepare for the final match of the Triwizard Tournament. I'll have to make sure to give those kids some training."

"Oh, it's been decided that they will..."

    "Right--"

    Armostat smiled cheerfully.

"The Triwizard Tournament happens only once every five years, and it's not known when it will be Hogwarts' turn to host it again. It's a rare opportunity, and I hope more people can get involved."

"This is an excellent idea, I have no objections, as long as safety is ensured."

    Professor McGonagall nodded with pleasure.

As the sun began to shine more brightly, the sleeping Hogwarts Castle quickly awakened and burst into full vitality.

When Harry and the others came down to the Great Hall, they were first surprised by the breakfast, which was as usual sumptuous, even like a feast.

The aroma and visual impact of the wide variety of food on the table filled the Great Hall, and Ron was like a wolf, diving into the table without even asking what was going on.

The abundance of food also made Harry and Hermione's fingers twitch, and without much conversation, they quickly joined the 'eating army.'

"There are more than twenty large boxes, each of them containing at least a thousand Galleons. Professor Brian used a carriage to transport them over. There's no mistake, Justin saw it with his own eyes!"

Several minutes later, when Pettigrew swore that the information she heard was accurate, Harry was taken aback.

According to this account, Professor Brian had at least brought over two hundred thousand Galleons to Hogwarts.

    "Two twenty-something--many thousands"

The number frightened Ron so much that he stammered as he was wolfing down his food.

    "What could possibly trouble him?"

Harry gulped down the blueberry pudding stuffed in his mouth and looked at Professor Brian, who was chatting with Professor Sprout at the faculty table, and said with a slight emotion.

"There's more than one thing to be startled about, Harry!"

Then, Harry heard Hermione say this, and he quickly looked over. He saw Hermione's cheeks slightly red, as she shook the latest issue of "The Prophet" that she had just received from a owl.

    "What does it say, Hermione?"

    Harry asked eagerly.

"According to Professor Brian, since the School Board has been acting in violation of the contract signed by both parties, Hogwarts has officially separated from the School Board."

"Oh, Professor Brian has also condemned the Ministry without any mercy in the newspaper!"

As she said this, Hermione looked solemnly at Professor Brian, who was smiling warmly in the direction of the Great Hall.

"Now, the Ministry will definitely have to take full measures against him."
