Chapter 911: Hasty Conclusion

Genres:Sci-Fi and Supernatural Last update:25/03/21 12:27:10
As she watched the terrified Taro Tomonaga, Amelia couldn't help but laugh. She knew he was scared of Amorta's thunderous tactics, such as eradicating those rotten wizard-practitioners who used muggles for experiments, and also his organization. However, his excuse was quite amusing. Couldn't smuggling magical creatures be considered illegal and a severe crime?

But this problem of dialectics needs to be put on hold for now, as Amelia's immediate concern is who is receiving this magical creature, what are their purposes, and where are the high-risk magical creatures that have been sold?

Amelia glanced at Amorta, hoping he would ask those questions.

"This must not be your first transaction?"

However, for some reason, Amorta appeared to be in a leisurely manner. He pondered over the question while leisurely sipping a few cups of coffee and eating some cake before continuing to ask slowly.

    "You're right –"

Taro Tomonaga said with a hint of humiliation in his voice,

"We've had many transactions over the years. Initially, it was just less dangerous magical creatures, but the quantities they required were substantial, and they've always been our largest client."

And in recent years, their tastes have become more picky, and they've started to require us to provide some high-risk and rare magical creatures.

You know, dealing with these creatures carries a lot of risk, but they have a good reputation and pay well. So, we agreed to this transaction request for them and caught that venomous leopard in East Africa.

This operation resulted in heavy losses; several members responsible for this line of business were killed by the venomous leopard. That's why I was sent here."

Amorta pondered for a few seconds,

"Didn't you ever wonder what these people's massive demand for magical creatures is for?"

    Click!

A table of guests spilled their tea, fussily cleaning it up.

Amelia subconsciously glanced at the table of guests, slightly frowning as she noticed something was off, but for a moment, she couldn't figure out what the problem was. Dazedly, she looked around and was surprised to find that as Amorta engaged in conversation with the criminal who had thrown himself into the trap, more guests had joined the café, and a third of the seats were occupied.

The girl who played the piano had returned from the break room and walked back onto the stage, beginning to play a new movement. Even with Amelia's complete lack of expertise in musical appreciation, she noticed that the girl's playing level was significantly worse than before, with disorganized fingerings and even numerous incorrect notes.

The crystal-clear glass cabinet outside the night seemed even deeper, and the blood wind howled. Suddenly, a cold aura began to spread.

    "We're not sure."

Taro Tomonaga remained silent for a few seconds before saying,

"We don't need to ask what their purpose is for needing magical creatures, Mr. Brien, we just need them to pay us in gold on time."

That's not a lie, Amorta blinked to indicate his agreement.

    "Of course."

Hesitated for a few seconds, Taro Tomonaga said,

We've also made guesses. We believe that these guys are buying these powerful magical creatures to drink their blood.

    "Drink their blood?!"

Upon hearing this, Amorta remained expressionless, but Amelia's face immediately changed in horror. She couldn't help but exclaim out loud. Her brain froze for a few seconds before a bolt of lightning struck her thoughts,

"You mean the people who buy these magical creatures are a group of vampires?!"

    "Start!"

Taro Tomonaga was about to answer, but at that moment, an unexpected change occurred. A young man, the last to enter the café and with a cold and fierce expression, suddenly roared. In an instant, twenty-plus vampires who had silently surrounded Amorta and others quickly rose to their feet. Dozens of wands pointed towards Taro Tomonaga who was bound by Amorta's bones!

The girl playing the piano screamed in terror and fled, her screams piercing the air almost to the point of earache. The remaining vampires pointed their wands towards the chandelier hanging in mid-air inside the café.

    Bang, bang, bang!

A series of glass shattering sounds and chilling incantation sounds were heard simultaneously, as the café suddenly plunged into a terrifying darkness, only ghostly green spells with thick death aura converging towards Taro Tomonaga.

This sudden change left Amelia in shock and stunned, until the spell light approached, she still hadn't managed to pull out her wand. After a moment of stunned horror, Taro Tomonaga quickly regained his composure. The extremely narrowed pupils in his eyes, filled with horror, looked like shooting stars straight towards himself.

"I thought you'd have a little more patience."

The sharp whistling sound brought about a noticeable sigh from Amorta, which caused all the vampires who had just launched the attack to pale.

    Splash!

Just when Amelia and Taro Tomonaga both thought they were going to die, a milky white screen enveloped them, just in time, blocking the death spells flying from all directions.

    Boom!

The death spells that hit the screen were repelled in an instant, and the giant sailing ship model on the stage shone brightly with a flash of light after being hit by several death spells, before collapsing in a loud crash.

The spells scattered in all directions and bounced off, destroying the luxurious interior of the café in just a blink!

    "This doesn't concern you, Brien!"

The spells came down like a fierce wind and rain, striking Amorta's magic barrier like fine raindrops on a lake, creating a series of brilliant ripples.

    "It's none of my business?"

Amorta rose slowly, his calm voice tinged with a hint of frost.

"But now I know about your true nature, is that not enough? What other choice do you have besides killing and silencing?"

Amorta is right. The sharp spell lights and howling sounds stopped, and the twenty-plus vampires surrounded Amorta, three of them, determined to kill them here.

    "We. We were going to–"

In just a few seconds, Amelia's cold sweat had soaked her clothes. She looked at the thin layer of magic barrier, seemingly about to burst at any moment, with an unprecedented high-pitched voice filled with terror.

"Quickly leave! Apparate, we need backup!"

"This place is blocked by a counter-apparition charm, and besides, the outside space has also been isolated."

Amorta shook his head, speaking calmly and serenely.

    Boom!

As Amorta's words finished, the coffee shop's window shattered suddenly. Another group of vampires leaped into the café. One of them, whose aura was slightly stronger than the others, waved his hand and sent a streak of blood-red spell light that struck Amorta's magic barrier like a battering ram, causing the barrier to shake violently.

    "Hmph!"

Amorta's gaze tightened slightly, and with a heavy, cold snort, the invisible magic world was instantly swamped by tumultuous waves. The creatures in the café felt that the air in their space had suddenly been sucked away, causing them to feel dizzy and suffocate!

The next moment, Amelia suddenly felt a radiant sun rise beside her, its scorching heat even causing her to feel as if her soul had been scorched!

Amorta suddenly raised his palm, and the closest vampire to the group was suddenly engulfed in golden flames. In a dreadful scream, it turned into a pile of ashes in just an instant. The fire that consumed it didn't extinguish but instead turned into a monstrous snake with wings sprouting from its back.

The monstrous snake, only a few arms long, moved incredibly fast. It looked like a golden lightning bolt as it flew across the dimly lit hall, and in an instant, it turned the first wave of vampires into torches!

This scene made Taro Tomonaga's heart skip a beat. If he could move right now, he would slap himself hard and ask himself what kind of courage prompted him to invite Amorta Brien out for a meeting.

Amorta's brow furrowed slightly as he watched the vampires, whose numbers had been halved by him.

This efficient massacre did not faze the remaining vampires. These dark creatures seemed to have made their minds up to die here.

Just as Amorta's mind wandered, the gold snake rampaging through the café suddenly slowed down like a bolt of lightning. The vampires, whose physical strength far exceeded that of wizards, took this opportunity. The vampire with a stronger aura from earlier screamed in horror and immediately burst into flames from head to toe. Then, he suddenly attacked Amorta's fiery dragon snake!

    Whish! Whish!

The fierce wind of fire shot up, sweeping away the surrounding vampires and furniture as if sowing them like seeds.

Amorta's eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze piercing through the scattered smoke.

The vampire who committed suicide had been completely annihilated, and at the same time, his fiery dragon snake had also vanished without a trace.
