Chapter 1082: What are you staring at, Porter!

Genres:Sci-Fi and Supernatural Last update:25/03/21 12:26:42
The Warrior team has returned to the 'safe zone' and begun the combat meeting.

"So, what are your plans now?"

After replenishing the warm red mist brought, the group sat on the ice blue blocks with lotus using her arm to prop up her chin and asking.

The three known levels that Harry and Hermione face are the 'Giant Double Stone Monster', while Wicktor challenges the 'Guarding Beacon', and Cedric and Luna are 'Fast Ship Leap'.

All three levels have their own difficulties and are not easily overcome.

    "I think"

After thinking for a moment, Hermione was the first to express her opinion.

"We don't need to challenge Cedric's level."

"Why?" Harry demanded immediately, "At least with Cedric, we don't have to fight anything, do we?"

"Oh, dear Harry, that's because the number of people assigned to that level is not very useful."

    Lotus said happily,

"Isn't it just one ship, isn't it?"

Harry's face turned stiff, and he was at a loss for words.

Indeed, once they decided to join forces, the number of people was their biggest advantage.

    "So, how did you decide?"

Cedric shrugged his shoulders in vain.

"Is it to deal with the stone monster, or to protect Wicktor's beacon?"

"My opinion is, it's best to try out your levels--"

Wicktor looked at Hermione and said,

"Based on your previous experience in dealing with stone monsters, as long as we are careful, we can kill two stone monsters at the same time.

"But if I may be frank, even with so many of us, I fear we might still suffer some hardships. There are so many ice sculptures that it's impossible not to get injured. This is considering the later levels."

    "What do you think, Harry?"

After a moment of hesitation, Hermione looked at Harry.

    "I have no objections."

    Harry's mouth twitched.

"I really want to see these two stone monsters die."

"All right, then let's have another go at the stone monsters!"

Hermione took a deep breath and her eyes became firm.

The main force marched into the arena with great vigour. When they re-entered, Harry was astonished to find Lotus hanging back at the end of the line and following them in.

Facing Harry's surprised expression, Lotus smiled warmly.

"I think waiting outside is pretty boring."

"Oh, you mean, you're going to help?"

Hermione immediately grasped the crux of the matter.

"In the previous round, you generously gave me the key not?"

    Lotus smiled cheerfully,

"Why shouldn't I help? Of course, I still won't compete for the second key with you."

"So, all four teams are starting to work together again?"

Cedric smiled and clapped his hands.

"This feels good. I mean, cooperation is better than competition."

In any case, it's good that Lotus is willing to help actively, and no one objects to it.

"In this case, we will be six of us. We can split into two groups, with three people facing one stone monster."

    Hermione said,

"I and Harry have fought against stone monsters before, so we should split up. I'll join Cedric's team, Harry, you, Wicktor, and Lotus will be in one group. Is that okay?"

    "I have no objections, Hermione."

Harry said, gazing at the towering stone monster, the lingering fear of the creature gradually faded away, and a surge of excitement surged back into his heart.

"--Based on our previous challenge results, perhaps the reason for our failure might be two, the first, as Wicktor said, maybe we should have defeated both stone monsters at the same time."

    Hermione nodded to Wicktor,

"Hermione nodded towards Wicktor, 'The second reason is that the aggressive posture of the stone monster after revival is normal; it's a normal process to defeat it. However, I personally think it shouldn't be like this. The terrifying nature of a rampaging stone monster is not something we can handle; we have absolutely no way to fight back!"

    "What if you guess wrong?"

Lotus looked at Hermione, interested and asked.

From Harry's understanding of Hermione, he could tell that Hermione clearly disliked Lotus's question. However, after a brief moment of thought, she still gave a serious answer.

"Apologies. There may not be a good solution if it really is like that."

    Hermione sighed and said,

"The stone monster takes about 20 seconds from falling to reviving, based on experience. During this time, we should leave the arena as quickly as possible and try other challenges."

Lotus flicked her lip and didn't say anything anymore.

So, Hermione started to give everyone detailed instructions on how to deal with the stone monsters.

"Hold on, I have a question."

Facing such a monster is very dangerous. Everyone listened attentively, but only Wicktor, after frowning and listening to Hermione's words, immediately raised his hand.

    "How?"

    Hermione asked.

"Do I need to repeat it again?"

    "It's not that. I just--"

Wicktor faced the two stone monsters, hesitating.

"You. um, I'm not saying your method isn't good, Hermione, but have you considered another way? Perhaps it would be simpler."

    Simpler?

    Hermione blinked.

    "What do you think, Wicktor?"

    "Hmm"

Wicktor nodded and began to organize his thoughts, slightly lowering his head.

"Simultaneously defeating two stone monsters. Ah, have you considered that they could attack each other?"

    Attack each other

The group looked at Wicktor in confusion, while Hermione's eyes flickered, first at Wicktor and then at the stone monsters. Suddenly, a light bloomed in her brown eyes, and she exclaimed.

    "Are you saying!"

    "What about it?"

Wicktor knew Hermione had obviously understood, and a hint of triumph appeared on his face.

"Do you think it's worth a try, Hermione?"

Two minutes later, everyone climbed up the wall near the portal, anxiously watching the scene inside.

On the duel arena, only Wicktor and Lotus were left.

The two people were located on the axis line, between the two large stone monsters. Both of them had transformed their shoes into ice skates.

    "Are you ready, Lotus?"

Wicktor tightened his grip on the wand, swallowed, and took a deep breath.

Lotus bent down, adjusted her ice skates, and stood up straight.

    "Ah, about ready!"

So, their expressions became solemn, and each of them lifted their wands.

    "I'll count to three!"

    Wicktor said loudly,

    "Three, two, one, go!"

    Whoosh, whoosh!

Two cursed light broke through the air, Lotus attacked the stone monster on the left and immediately slid to the right one after, while Wicktor did exactly the opposite, attacking the stone monster on the right and guiding his ice skates to the left!

    Screech!

The two people just hid behind the stone monsters and attacked from behind!

    Boom, boom, boom!

For a moment, dust and smoke swirled around the arena, with flying stones everywhere.

    Whoosh, whoosh!

Two green fireworks broke through the smoke and soared into the sky!

Seeing the two pre-arranged safe signals, the people who were ready to distract the fire for them both involuntarily heaved a sigh of relief.

    Really can it work?

    Harry's mouth twitched again.

    Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

Another round of fierce stone egg attacks, the two stone monsters inside the duel arena roared at each other fiercely, as they attacked their own kind to eradicate Lotus and Wicktor who were hiding behind them!

    Buzz!

The stone monsters' bodies were the best barrier, and they began to tremble as their massive forms had already withstood two rounds of stone egg attacks from their own kind.

    Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! Thunder!

The third wave of dense stone egg attacks arrived as scheduled.

In the eyes of everyone who was wide-eyed in shock, the two massive stone monsters collapsed to the ground with a thud!

This time, the stone monsters broke apart completely and fell to the ground. In the biting cold wind, they turned into powder and scattered away with the wind. Lotus and Wicktor's figures appeared again in front of everyone.

    Buzz!

A group of scarlet light emerged from the void, gradually descending from mid-air and landing in the center of the duel arena. This was the tool that could melt ice.

    Woof, woof, woof.

The cold wind still howled fiercely, and everyone was silent, not saying a word.

Harry slowly turned his gaze and looked at Hermione, who had a faint flush on her cheeks. His expression was strange.

    "Stop staring, Potter!"

Hermione's 'roar' of shame and anger, delivered with indignation, made everyone burst into laughter. For a moment, cheerful laughter dispelled the ice and snow that covered the land!
