Chapter 1046: Simple Game Rules

Genres:Sci-Fi and Supernatural Last update:25/03/21 14:03:26
Only the students participating in the physical education class can truly feel the horror of playing against their classmates.

During a certain stage of the physical education training, they began to compete against Professor Brian in a team format.

That was in the spirit world of Professor Brian. Since death and bleeding are not real for the body, Professor Brian never would "feel sorry" for them.

Each student in the course has experienced being 'instantly killed' by Professor Brian's curse.

And over time, this gradually nurtured the young wizards into a style of unmerciful strikes.

During the later encirclement and counter-encirclement training, they were all 'hitting hard' towards each other.

If Professor Brian lets them do an encirclement and counter-encirclement test in the Forbidden Forest as the range area, Hermione is almost certain that there will be casualties in the game!

Another very noteworthy point is that during the counter-encirclement training in Professor Brian's spirit world, the number of successful breakthroughs seems to be only a couple of times, and all of them occurred when there was chaos on the side doing the encirclement.

    "As you see, Hermione --"

Harry was stroking his fingers nervously and said, "

"Shouldn't we wear two sets of competition outfits, so that we can provide ourselves with more protection?"

Harry, who experienced the terrifying despair in the second match, had a deep impression of the competition suits brought by Professor Brian.

"This kind of competition suit only has a one-time effect of restraining special magic. Harry, in most cases, the protection it can provide is far less than that of your Iron Charm Spell."

Hermione said, and from the furrowed brow she wore, Harry knew she was already contemplating how to break out of an encirclement if they were to practice in the forest.

"The summoning charm can be used, can it not?"

    Pale-faced Ron suddenly said,

"If we had flying brooms, then our chances of winning would be greatly increased, wouldn't they?"

Harry's eyes brightened suddenly, and this was indeed a very good idea. If he could bring his Firebolt Arrows into the Forbidden Forest, no one would be able to catch him!

    "Hermione, is this possible?"

    Harry asked eagerly.

Ron's suggestion did indeed show Hermione's heart moving, but then she pursed her lips,

"I don't think the possibility is high, Harry."

    Hermione was pondering.

"If so, we can even put your invisibility cloak into your backpack, and use the summoning spell to bring it into the Forbidden Forest. With the invisibility cloak, we are sure to win. But Professor Brian knows you have these, Harry. He would never let such a large loophole go unnoticed."

The three were busy discussing in a hurry and anxiously. Meanwhile, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Mr. Weasley were watching the three young wizards attending the pre-match strategy meeting with a smile on their faces and remained silent to avoid disturbing them.

At five minutes to eight-thirty, the Ministry of Magic's Ludo Bagman appeared in the lobby. Upon seeing him, the four heads of house at the staff dining table quickly walked over.

A whispered word, and Professor McGonagall walked over to the Gryffindor table, while Professor Sprout walked towards the Hufflepuff table.

"Miss Granger, Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley,"

Professor McGonagall seemed to be holding back her excitement, for to her, seeing the Gryffindor wizards bravely struggle and excel in the tournament was the most rewarding thing. And with the third match, including Neville, the Gryffindor wizards had the highest 'appearance rate' of all.

"Hurry to the field, Professor Amora will tell you the specific content of the match just before the match!"

Harry, Ron, and Hermione got up from their chairs in a hurry. After quickly saying goodbye to Sirius and the others, they rushed towards the hall along with Cedric, Neville, and Luna from the Hufflepuff table.

    "Hold on!"

However, halfway through, Hermione suddenly pulled up Harry and Ron.

"Take some food, this match may last all day!"

The three, realizing what they needed to do, hurried back to the dining table.

"Sorry, Colin, I have to take it!"

Harry pushed aside Colin and his younger brother Dennis, snatching away a stack of bread and butter from them.

And Ron grabbed a few sausages and potato pies from the plate in front of some first-year wizards.

    "Put it in there!"

Without a backpack, Hermione had to roughly cut a large piece of tablecloth with a cutting spell, and then used an impressive transformation spell to turn the tablecloth into a double-strap backpack.

And their actions also inspired Cedric and the others, who knew what they were facing, and they did the same as Hermione and her friends.

Ludo did not interfere with the behavior of the two groups of brave warriors, but smiled at their absurd actions.

"How about it, do you have confidence?"

As the six arrived in front of Ludo, he smiled at them and asked, but no one responded to his question.

The four heads of house and other staff members began to stop the small wizards forming a team to watch the match and head towards the arena, but the six participants followed Ludo to the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

The grandstands were a long arc facing the Forbidden Forest.

Harry saw that most of the guests invited to watch the tournament were seated in the seats behind the stand, and on the dais were Professor Brian, Professor Dumbledore, as well as Madame Maxime of Beauxbatons and the new headmaster of Durmstrang, an elderly man who looked strict and decisive.

"For all the reasons we know, the referees have made some small changes."

Ludo's enthusiastic voice reminded Harry of when he was explaining Quidditch matches.

"--Vep Durgoean, like Amora, is the vice-president of the International Confederation of Wizards, and also the new headmaster of Durmstrang. He replaced the pitiful Karkaroff as a referee and Amilia replaced the old Barty. Ah, who would have thought that this year's Triwizard Tournament was even more dangerous than being a warrior."

Ludo made a quip, but no one could laugh.

They followed Ludo up the side steel ladder onto the stage, and as they walked up, a few excitedly talking heads of house and high-ranking Ministry officials stopped talking and stood on the edge of the stage. Ermione, Viktor, and their teammates also immediately gathered by the side.

    "I brought them, Amora --"

    Ludo said happily,

"Now, you can announce the rules of the competition."

Ludo's words caused the twelve young wizards who were looking at each other to straighten up, their gaze fell on the smile that made them feel as if a spring breeze was blowing.

"Oh, thank you, Ludo. So, everyone, please come closer."

Amora waved to the twelve children, and Professor Dumbledore and Madam Bones stepped back a bit, giving space to the warriors and teammates.

"The rules are as follows --"

Amora pointed to the four stone doors behind the steel columns supporting the four large screens.

"After I announce the start of the competition, each warrior will lead their teammates through a door, and this door will transport you to different areas of the Forbidden Forest."

A little boy about the same height as Viktor, who was also tall and thin, immediately fidgeted nervously and raised his hand.

"But I heard there are many wild beasts in the forest, Professor Brian --"

    "Please don't worry --"

    Amora smiled and said,

"I have talked to the centaurs who live in the Forbidden Forest, and some truly dangerous magical creatures have been driven away. They will also be patrolling the outskirts of the forest during the competition to ensure that no particularly dangerous creatures enter the arena. As for the rest, you can handle them."

That means they don't have to fight against the centaurs.

An idea flashed through Harry's mind, when he suddenly saw Professor Brian wave his wand, four objects about the size of a palm suddenly appeared in the air, falling into Hermione's, Cedric's, Ermione's and Viktor's hands.

Harry immediately looked at Hermione's open palm and saw that it was a stone plaque about half an inch thick, with the Hogwarts school emblem carved on both sides. The object in Cedric's hand was identical to Hermione's, while the plaques in Ermione's and Viktor's hands had the emblems of their respective schools.

"The competition rules are relatively simple --"

Seeing the confused young wizards, Amora smiled and said.

"These emblems, one for each team, are indestructible, and the condition for winning is to collect as many emblems as possible. Got it?"

Harry nodded, but shook his head. He looked at Hermione and saw that she also had a look of confusion in her eyes.

Then, Professor Brian waved his wand again, and four more things fell out of the air.

They were about the size of parchment, square and flat, with a material resembling the blackboards used by professors for their classes. They were black in color, and the board was divided into small squares by intersecting transparent green lines.

"This is a map. After entering the Forbidden Forest, it will show your real-time location every half hour, but it will disappear after a minute."
