The Ninth Hundred and Fifty-Sixth Chapter: A Sharp-Shinned Hawk in the Shadows

Genres:Sci-Fi and Supernatural Last update:25/03/21 12:47:14
None of the onlookers, both vampires and mages, were moved to speech. All were quietly watching as Trac Grayvis, the lone mage, was doing his thing without uttering a single word. The events unfolding before their eyes had far exceeded their understanding.

They had no idea why Grayvis would kill Morgun, nor could they comprehend the nature of the dark magic he was now performing, which even vampires, creatures of the shadowy, sincerely deemed to be immensely sinister.

The pearly glow. What had Grayvis done to the ancestors of this ethnicity of vampires?

But it was obvious that this was not out of a sudden conscience, nor was it an impulsive decision, but something he had planned well in advance.

Unconsciously, a sense of impending great disaster tortured the acute nerves of Sirius Black, who could no longer bear it. Even accustomed to storms, he couldn't help trembling slightly in his voice at this moment.

    "What have you done?"

Grayvis dropped to the ground, his heavy breathing sounding like a pulled bellows. His grayish-white hair was completely soaked in sweat, and the wet strands fell over his eyes, obscuring his vision.

    "You—"

Sirius Black still wanted to ask, but just as he was about to ask, --

    Hum!

A powerful surge of energy, centered on the blood pool, swept outwards in all directions. Any creature that was brushed by the faintly crimson waves, be it vampire or mage, paled in horror!

In the grand hall, beings kept falling one after another, not just vampires, but also mages and even Sirius Black himself.

Sirius Black's gray eyes flashed with fierceness. He gritted his teeth, wanting to stand up, but his body completely ignored his will. Another force entirely controlled and paralyzed his body - it was the blood!

The blood within each person's body dominated their will, submitting to the blood monarch who had been resurrected!

    Huahuhuahua--

A sound of rippling water filled everyone's ears. It was as if the waves of the night sea were swelling and receding, crisp and pleasing, causing a helpless daze. Many mages fell into a bewildered state, as if their minds had been controlled, but Sirius Black did not. His eyes remained clear, filled with malice towards Grayvis. However--

    Huahuhuhua!

Sirius Black's sharp gaze suddenly became dazed, and a trace of fear boiled uncontrolled in his fixed expression!

Behind Grayvis, a corpse. No, it was no longer a corpse; it was the resurrected vampire monarch. It was surrounded by crimson light as translucent as blood, much like a grand blood moon rising from the sea horizon!

Sirius Black stared at the vampire ancestor as their red eyes, stunningly beautiful, slowly opened.

This vampire was probably the most outstanding creature he had ever seen in his lifetime. With fairer skin than any woman, it was stunning. Its deeply attractive features were perfect, as if they had gathered the finest aspects of countless people's faces. Every life that looked at that beautiful face would accelerate their heartbeat and feel agitated.

The only imperfection was the two fangs of its mouth, stark white and ferocious.

This is not him. This is not an opponent that his group can handle. Sirius's mind was still clear. He wanted to look at Fox, to remind him to go find Amortas quickly.

Only Amortas in the current American magical community has the potential to deal with this evil and terrifying creature within the boundaries of the United States!

However, Sirius Black could not do so.

His body was suppressed, unable to utter a single sound. He could only gaze hatefully at the vampire's eyes, which had unleashed the source of all evil.

    Suddenly, Sirius Black froze.

They were iridescent and crimson, matching the rubies of Fox's eyes. They were entirely consistent with the beauty of their owner's face, stunning to the point of suffocation, yet...

    "Hahaha..."

The vast hall, overwhelmed by despair and silence, suddenly broke into laughter. The strange laughter dragged everyone's attention to Grayvis.

    "Haha."

The laughter gradually became maniacal, and finally, it was unrestrained.

    "Ha ha ha!"

Grayvis, kneeling beside the blood pool and facing the blood monarch that had fallen from the pool onto its bank, his shoulders shaking slightly as if in worship. Finally, he raised his head, his eyes ablaze with madness and rampant abandon!

Grayvis jumped lightly, once again pulling his shirt apart. As his gaze fell upon his back, he finally let out a loud, unrestrained laugh.

Sirius Black knew the reason for Grayvis's appearance, and he struggled to blink, his face filled with disbelief.

They had just seen Grayvis's upper body, the body cut into pieces by intersecting black veins. However, the situation was completely different now. Grayvis's body had returned to normal, and his muscular frame seemed to exude the vigor of a teenager!

    Is it really over?

Really solved it? The four people who had just heard Grayvis recount his past in the hall—Sirius Black, Amelia, Erell, and Selena—all showed looks of disbelief. Although Grayvis said that he had confirmed with the vampires that by reviving the progenitor of vampires, he could return to normal, in fact, the four of them were skeptical. For all the story told, Grayvis was too much like a tool used by vampires!

And the vampire ancestor standing there has done nothing yet, hasn't it? Why did Grayvis's curse automatically lift?!

    "Hahaha, this day--"

The laughter became eerie. Grayvis, still with the same face as before, seemed strangely unfamiliar to everyone who knew him. This strangeness was even different from before.

Even Selena and Erell, who had learned of Grayvis's betrayal and embrace of darkness, found their revered figure to be unfamiliar. Yet, there was still a familiarity to him. Now, the man whose face had suddenly become extremely sinister left a group of mages utterly confused.

However, it was Sirius Black who sensed a familiar feeling in the newly born Grayvis. He seemed to see a shadow of Voldemort in him!

    "Aah..."

Grayvis spread his arms towards the sky, his face contorted with excitement and distortion.

"Finally, this day has come. What a liberating feeling it is!"

Grayvis lowered his head and looked at his open palms. The evil and sinister aura emanating from his entire body was simply unbearable to behold!

    Ding—

Walking over the scattered blood on the ground, Grayvis's gaze finally landed on this newly born vampire ancestor, his face revealing irony and ridicule. He raised his hand and patted its shoulder, sneering two times in disdain.

    "Grayvis, Mr. --"

After Grayvis's action, the heavy pressure in the hall dissipated significantly. One of the vampires, bewildered, looked at them as if they were gods. Now, however, he seemed like the ancestor of a puppet being controlled, his teeth chattering.

"What's going on here? Grayvis, Mr. -- Our ancestor. It has been revived, hasn't it? Why did you kill Mr. Morgun --"

"Oh, that's an interesting question --"

Grayvis walked around the vampire ancestor, turning two full circles and examining him. After hearing the question, he shot an interested gaze over. He could see everyone's confusion on their faces. And he could even feel their confusion.

Finally, he looked towards Sirius Black and the others, giving a relaxed and mocking smile.

"I suppose you're all feeling confused in your hearts?"

Sirius Black's expression was solemn and deep. He did not want to show the slightest hint of weakness in front of such an evil witch.

    "I don't feel confused."

Sirius Black said in a low voice,

"Did you use some kind of evil magic to manipulate this newly revived vampire ancestor?"

"Oh, don't worry about it, Mr. Black --"

Grayvis feigned a frown, expressing dissatisfaction, saying,

"In this incredibly enjoyable moment, you shouldn't deprive me of the joy of sharing, should you? Moreover, the facts are more interesting than you think."
