Chapter 595: Disappointment

Can there be anyone more unlucky than oneself?

When Harry saw Professor Brian appear in his field of vision, he thought despondently in his heart.

He had sneaked into Hogwarts with Hermione, but he ended up encountering Professor Brian and even injured a Beauxbatons warrior. It was said that this girl who appeared to have Malfoy blood had been injured in Hagrid's pumpkin field last time, and the Beauxbatons headmaster was extremely angry about it. Even Dumbledore was disturbed!

Harry looked at Ginny, who was streaming blood from her nose, and couldn't help but think that her injury this time around was not going to be lighter than the last time.

Hermione ran over to Harry's side, and when she saw that the injured person was her opponent, a Beauxbatons warrior, and saw Ginny's bloody nose and the blood-stained collar, she widened her eyes in shock and panic as well.

Amos won't be unaware of how Harry and Hermione got here, because Sirius is pushing through the crowd like a barrel, making his way towards the center!

    "Let me see--"

Ginny's pitiful condition frustrated Amos, and it seemed like this girl really was having a tough time. Instead of questioning Harry and Hermione again, he crouched down and spoke gently.

Ginny let out a painful whimper, not wanting everyone to see her embarrassed state. Her blue eyes were filled with tears, and her gaze at Amos was full of resentment.

Treating non-magical injuries isn't as complicated, and Amos pointed his wand at Ginny's nose. The steady flow of blood stopped immediately, and the crooked nose straightened up. But the problem wasn't there; the Beauxbatons warrior had suffered consecutive injuries, and Mrs. Maxime wouldn't take it well.

Gabrielle tried to help her sister up and glared angrily at Harry.

    "You hurt my sister!"

Ginny wouldn't not recognize Harry and Hermione, two students from Hogwarts—one a warrior, and the other the person who pointed her to Professor Amos Brenn's office on the night she arrived at Hogwarts. He was rumored to be the famous Harry Potter.

Ginny didn't immediately get angry because of Amos Brenn, she wanted to see how he would handle this situation.

And Sirius, who had finally pushed his way through the burly Dumbledore students, glanced at Harry and Hermione, who were flustered by the incident. Then he looked at Amos Brenn, whose face remained calm, and felt a bit awkward. After all, Harry and Hermione had been summoned by his letter.

    "Oh, I'm very sorry..."

Sirius pushed Harry and Hermione behind him and apologized to Ginny with a face full of remorse.

"Just now, I bumped into your son who is my godson, we just had a little disagreement, and he got a bit emotional. So, we're willing to compensate--"

"I apologize--" Amos nodded towards Ginny, his tone filled with apology, "It was my fault for not fulfilling my duties."

Ginny looked at Amos, feeling a sudden sense of loss. She realized that his apology wasn't because he was on her side; instead, he wanted to take responsibility for the two young wizards from Hogwarts.

    "No!"

Harry's face was still pale, but he stepped forward from behind Sirius, looking at Ginny and saying,

"It has nothing to do with Professor Brian. It's my fault, I'm very sorry. If you want, you can also punch my nose."

"You don't have to feel indebted, it was just an accident--"

Ginny lazily shook her head, uninterested.

"Come on, Gabrielle, I have no interest in staying here any longer. Let's go back to the carriage."

Saying this, she pulled Gabrielle up from her seat and gave Harry a fierce glare. She didn't bother to say goodbye to Amos and just turned her back, quickly walking away.

Ginny's light-hearted attitude made Harry feel even more guilty, and his anger towards Ron increased. But how to communicate with Ron would have to be dealt with later; for now, he had to face Professor Brenn first.

There was no doubt that he had caused a problem for Professor Brian. If Ginny returned and told her headmaster about it, Professor Brian would have to spend a lot of time calming down Beauxbatons' anger.

    "I'm sorry, Professor Brian, we--"

Harry tried hard to force out a few words, but found nothing to say. Sirius stood behind him, smiling warmly at Amos as if he was sure that he wouldn't punish Harry and Hermione as severely.

"After dinner, drop by my office to accept the punishment for sneaking out of school, Harry and Ginny -"

Amos scowled at Sirius, making him feel embarrassed before turning to Harry and Hermione and saying,

"Now, get back to school immediately and don't wander around. Otherwise, I'll inform Professor McGonagall about this."

    "Go on--"

Sirius patted Harry on the shoulder.

"Don't leave the castle after dark, and then, talk things over with Ron properly."

Harry and Hermione were relieved, and quickly ran away from here with heads down, disappearing from the sight of the interested guests in the bar.

"Would you like a drink, Amos?" Sirius approached and asked with a smile.

"I had plans for that," Amos said with a darkened face, "but now I'm not in the mood."

It was clear that this place was no longer suitable for conversation, as there were a lot of people staring at them both inside and outside the store.

"What's going on with Harry and Ron?"

Sirius and Amos turned into a narrow alley opposite the Puddifoot Tea Shop, standing under the eaves, and Amos casually asked,

"Two little guys got into a fight?"

"It was about Hermione's status as a warrior--"

    Sirius shrugged.

"You know, Ron's brother and sister have always been under pressure from each other, eager to stand out, but he never gets much attention from Harry."

    Amos nodded understandingly.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione, in this trio, Harry, of course, is always the center of attention wherever he goes. Hermione is also somewhat famous due to her outstanding academic achievements and is now the fourth bravest at Hogwarts. Being friends with these two exceptional young wizards must put Ron under considerable pressure and unwelcome attention.

However, Amos had no intention of interfering. This was their own business, or rather, an inevitable pain in the process of growing up.

"Let's talk about Sirius Black," Amos said, "Has he been making any moves recently?"

"You know, Amos, I can't always stay at the Ministry, but when I go back to turn in tasks, I like to get the scoop from others."

Sirius furrowed his brow and said,

"There's really nothing special, just as diligent as before, almost the last to leave the Ministry every day. If I had to say something, it would be Percy--"

    "Percy?"

    "Percy?"

Sirius looked at Amos, who was deep in thought, and his brow was tightly knit.

"What's going on, Amos, why do you want me to keep an eye on the old man? Do you think what happened at Hogwarts is related to him?"

Amos's eyes flashed for a moment, but he didn't reply. Instead, he calmly looked at Sirius.

Seeing his expression, Sirius immediately realized that he wasn't going to get anything out of Amos.

    "Alright--"

    Sirius sighed and said,

"I know you've got a lot on your mind, but I hope you can keep an eye on Harry, of course, along with Hermione and Ron. They're all in a bit of a mess because of the situations with the Chosen One..."

Amos and Sirius didn't talk for long, after all, there had been plenty of communication through letters. As for Sirius's last request, Amos agreed to it, but he knew that he wouldn't interfere too much. He wouldn't want to get too close to Harry, Ron, and Hermione before Voldemort's wish was fulfilled.

Misty rain, only to see the green mountains.

Amos stepped out of the alley. Although he wished to return to Hogwarts immediately, there were still many students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang here in Hogsmeade. He had to wait until dinner time to gather these students together and return to Hogwarts with them.

After thinking for a moment, he decided to head to the Gringotts Bank branch in Hogsmeade, at least during the day, it was relatively quiet there. But as he turned around, Amos stumbled hesitantly and looked back towards the elegant wizarding clothes store that had just left.
