Gold Snake tilted its head and swept back, seeing pairs of eyes that were brimming with mischief.
The gawkers all stood up one by one, their faces full of curiosity. It was a foregone conclusion that when the time came to take action, they would lend a helping hand to someone.
In fact, according to the cold-hearted demeanor of these people, if it was a conflict between 'locals', they would not look for trouble by interfering. However, because Jin Bi was an 'outsider', and his first time entering the phantom soul home he so arrogantly violated the rules, if they did not give him a lesson, how this matter would spread, they would be mocked.
"On account of Flare's face, Jin Niu," the tall bartender said coldly, "leave all your gold here, and then you may roll out of this place alive."
The ugly sorcerer arrogantly smiled, not in a hurry to deal with this guy who lacked vision, but instead, he grabbed the muggle girl's hair and pulled her up from the ground, forcefully forcing her to look at Jin Niu.
"Someone wants to take you away here, sweetie, do you want to leave with him?"
"Don't --"
The girl, blinded by reason, spoke in a delirious voice. She still stared at the repulsive face with fervent eyes.
"Oh, did you hear that? She doesn't want to leave with you!" The ugly wizard bared his teeth in a sinister smile. He then embraced the girl's slender waist, speaking with keen interest.
"Then let's see how this idiot ends up!"
"What do you come to us for, outsider?"
Behind a wooden partition in the hall, a man looked at Jin Niu sidelong and asked lazily.
"Oh, actually it's like this..."
Even though he has become the target of everyone's fire, Jin Bi seems to be unaware that he has caused trouble. His tone even carries a hint of amusement.
"I'm looking for a woman. She's from the Druid Order, and there's a message that she was here before, so I came to inquire about it..."
"Why are you looking for this woman?"
Another guy asked in a teasing tone.
"Is she your mother?"
As soon as this sentence was said, the atmosphere in the bar instantly became lively. Many people were laughing so hard that they were falling over, and the ugly witch who had kidnapped the muggle girl even tripped over herself while laughing from the potion she had brewed. However, she didn't seem to be angry at all, still happily patting her legs.
"You are doing this to yourself, Jin Bi—"
The bartender was the only wizard in the room who wasn't laughing. He stared coldly at Jin Niu and said.
"Humph, you lot of stinky guys——" Jin Niu shook his head helplessly.
For months, Amostar had been living in the sun, having not interacted with these dirty, low-lifes for a while, to the point of being somewhat out of sync with their endless pursuit.
Facing the wave upon wave of mocking laughter, Jin Niu tilted his head and thought for a few seconds before slowly lifting his hand to pull off the large black hood from his head. A soft, lustrous gray mane of hair that was full of vitality was then exposed to the dim air. Next, he leisurely unbuttoned the collar and took off his cloak, draping it over his left arm.
The laughter gradually subsided, and everyone in the room was coldly watching Jin Niu's unexpected action, guessing what tricks he was up to.
Cough cough.
Only the magic whirlpool on his face protected his identity. Jin Niu coughed a few times, his voice getting younger and deeper each time. He turned around in place, taking in all the reactions, and finally, facing the ugly warlock who had grabbed the girl, he turned away from the girl and looked at Jin Niu. The magic whirlpool on his face dissipated like sand castles washed away by waves. A young and handsome face was exposed to everyone.
Dead silence.
The laughter stopped completely, and even the quiet inside the bar could hear the increasing breaths.
The ugly warlock's hand fell from the girl's waist, quivering unconsciously. His eyes showed terror, and his mouth, without lips, slowly opened, making a 'aa.' sound.
Amostar·Bright!
"Run away quickly!"
Behind the bar, the towering bartender's earsplitting cry of terror shook the glasses on the shelves so loudly they clanged.
"Jin Niu is Amostar·Bright! He didn't want to leave anyone alive!"
Boom!
In that instant, the bar shook violently as if struck by lightning. The reactions in the bar were varied and intense: some people fled towards the door without a care, others cast spells at the walls, hoping to blast their way out, some waved their wands and shot mighty black magic at Amostar, some threw potions with poison meant to knock him down, and some conjured up magical creatures, those ferocious beasts driven by magic, which landed and growled menacingly at Amostar!
Buzz!
In the center of the messy bar, a tangible wave of magic emanated from Amostar, sweeping in a powerful torrent. All living beings or objects that came into contact with this wave froze in place, as if entombed in solid amber. The only signs of life remaining were the glow from the fierce eyes that flashed with terror and confusion!
Ding, ding, ding—
After a moment of contemplation, Amostar turned around and walked leisurely towards the bar, stepping over the glass shards that had been frozen in the air. He returned to the bar and stood in front of it.
The bar owner had already jumped up on the bar and was preparing to pounce towards the door, his body's weight already falling outside of the bar. However, his massive body remained immobile.
Amostar moved his wand, and the bar owner's body floated off the bar and landed on the ground, lying on its back in an odd position.
Amostar could read many emotions from the bar owner's bulging eyes: fear, regret, pleading, and hope. He probably wanted to trade some information for a chance to save his life. However, unfortunately for him, Amostar didn't need him to speak.
In the dimly lit bar, two purplish moons rose slowly, dispelling all emotions from the bar owner's eyes.
Starting from recently, Amostar flipped through the memories forcefully extracted, one still image after another flashing past his eyes quickly, a day, two days, three days.
Until the memory went back over ten days ago, Amostar's gaze froze, and the rapidly flowing images also slowed down.
A woman appeared at the phantom soul home, not Vtinya·Crioona.
It was a plump middle-aged witch dressed in normal, decent clothes. Her expression was slightly confused, as if she didn't understand why she was there. However, that didn't mean she wouldn't be afraid after seeing all the demons and ghosts in the room.
I don't have to explain the next thing.
The panic-stricken witch tried to leave in a hurry, but since she had shown fear, how could the lawless creatures in the room ignore her?
She was controlled by some dark wizards. These guys sized up the terrified, plump witch as if figuring out how to deal with her.
At this moment, in an inconspicuous corner of the bar, a witch wrapped in a cloak and with her head tightly wrapped in a headscarf suddenly stood up. Before everyone had reacted, the witch pulled out a wand made of grapevine. In the sudden burst of green light at the tip, her cloak fell off, revealing her elegant attire and flowing emerald-green hair that fell out from her headscarf.
The pale moon finally made its way to the center of the night sky.
In the dense forest, a raging fire dyed half the sky white. Amidst the flames, there were intermittent crackling sounds of walls and beams exploding, and faint, piercing cries of despair.
Under the light of the fire, kneeling on the ground about thirty feet away, the muggle girl's dazed eyes finally found a sliver of clarity. She opened her mouth slightly and stared fixedly at the raging flames before slowly getting up. Though she hadn't fully regained her senses, the roaring fire still instinctively terrified her. She stumbled backward and was caught off guard by a stone embedded in the earth, which tripped her up.
Ouch!
The intense pain in her buttocks further revived the girl's consciousness. She winced in pain and struggled to get up, her gaze unconsciously flickering to something seemingly out of place on a large cloud spruce tree nearby.
It's a. A head!
There were several grotesque skulls, completely burned to charcoal, pierced by sturdy stone spears and nailed to the cloud spruce tree. The charcoal skulls were distorted with a visible fear from their last moments.
"Ah!!!"
The ear-piercing scream echoed in the boiling night sky. Upon hearing the scream, the muggles who were preparing to put out the fire sped up even more.
Two points of dim purple light vanished into the deep darkness among the towering trees.
