Chapter 429: The Mystery Reappears

Genres:Sci-Fi and Supernatural Last update:25/03/21 11:28:03
Sirius' tales of his escape from Azkaban misled Amorta somewhat. However, knowing the relationship between this island and the center of the Temple of Avalon and Merlin, he would not have rashly stormed the place.

The defensive magic surrounding Azkaban has been in harmony with the natural environment, drawing magic power continuously from the natural world and storing it over thousands of years to serve as the driving force for the magic. It can be said that this reserve of power is virtually inexhaustible.

Amorta had already acknowledged her failure and was preparing to return with Sirius, but an unexpected change suddenly occurred at this time.

The sorting hat that belonged to Ravenclaw and the ancient sword of Gryffindor!

Amorta possesses three relics of the four founders of Hogwarts. The Slytherin locket was found in the old Black family estate, the ancient sword of Gryffindor was a trophy from last summer's trip to Avalon, and the Ravenclaw crown, an item he had obtained long ago, was kept hidden by him until the end of last spring when he handed over this broken crown to Dumbledore.

A few months ago, he had taken back the repaired crown from Dumbledore. He had a premonition that one day the relics he carried might be of use, but he never expected that these two items would suddenly change!

Under the dim sky, the exquisite crown emits a holy light that quickly dispels the inescapable pressure in the air.

The Gryffindor sword, however, was no slouch. Its tip pointed towards the sky, and the surrounding scarlet light seemed even more fierce than Amorta's fierce fire. Large clouds disappeared like they had been erased with a rubber pencil.

The crown and sword seem to become the ruler of this world.

They are resisting the magic that protects Azkaban with their own will and power!

The confrontation entered a higher energy level, and all the destructive celestial phenomena around it were frozen. Only the heavy air, like lead and mercury, indicated the fierce tug-of-war of power in the invisible realm.

Amorta, even she, couldn't see the full picture of this confrontation, but at least she could feel that it was the same level of power.

Trapped in the cabin, Sirius couldn't see the source of the mutation. He stood there, wide-eyed and stunned, watching as the celestial might kept dissipating in silence. He had thought that all of this was accomplished by Amorta with her own power.

    "It's inconceivable!"

    Sirius shouted excitedly,

"How did you do that, Amorta?"

Upon hearing the shouting, Amorta realized that Sirius was still trapped in the cabin. She was about to release him when suddenly, a clear eagle's cry and a deep lion's roar resounded from above. Startled, she looked up and saw a sudden flash of white light descending from the sky, engulfing everything in sight.

The protective fire basilisk dissipated instantly. Standing on the top of the ship, Amorta suddenly felt a change in the heavens, seeing nothing and feeling nothing.

In the chaotic whirl of the world being turned upside down, the basic concepts of time and space were erased. Amorta lost her sense of Sirius's magic, she didn't know where she was or how long it had been, all that she had left was a 'clear' consciousness.

Amorta took some time to calm down the discomfort of losing control of her body and struggled to think about what was happening in front of her.

Without a doubt, this journey had been predicted.

Not to mention the sword of Gryffindor, which for a long time was the wand of the legendary wizard Godric Gryffindor, and must possess extraordinary power.

For thousands of years, the crown has been passed down through at least three people: Voldemort, Dumbledore, and himself. Despite its long history, the crown has never shown any special powers. Even when Amorta destroyed the crown in that magical room at Hogwarts a few years ago, or when Voldemort used it as a vessel for his soul, the crown never revealed any protective powers.

But today, as he attempted to enter Azkaban, the crown, along with the sword, shed its disguise and revealed its divine aura.

Before, it was just a speculation, but now, Amorta finally confirmed it: the four founders were guiding her, guiding her to investigate the Two-Headed staff and some events after that great war that left the world with regrets.

    There are still those confusions.

The druidic prophecy led her into this series of puzzles, and this was not an accident. A thousand years ago, even long before that, the great net that covered her fate had already begun to weave.

As he had predicted after his trip to Avalon, as long as he decided to pursue these matters, he was highly likely to come into contact with more of the preparations left by the four founders for the destruction of the Two-Headed staff!

The same secret room mentioned by Gryffindor that Sirius Slitherin had visited was waiting underground in Hogwarts Castle for someone to reveal its mysterious veil.

Sirius himself personally led Amorta close to the Two-Headed staff in the treacherous island of Avalon. Amorta suddenly realized a problem that she had not previously considered. Since Sirius could have used such a way to make her contact with the Two-Headed staff, does he not know that the staff has its own will and, after escaping from the altar seal, will also escape from his control and fall into Vindilia Krioliana's hands?

These events must have been within the sight of the four founders. If Gryffindor did not prevent it, what does that indicate?

    Is everything within their plan?

And Merlin, the wizard shrouded in too many divinity.

In this series of events, the four founders of Hogwarts have shown a strong presence, but Amorta will not overlook that the source of all things is because of him.

What he has done in the millennia after have been within the sight of the four founders of Hogwarts, and whether some of the arrangements made by the four giants a thousand years ago were also within Merlin's control?

    "Amorta. Amorta"

Amorta was analyzing the problem when suddenly, a ethereal calling voice broke into his consciousness, pulling him out of his deep thought.

Upon snapping back to reality, Amorta realized that the pure white light surrounding herself had disappeared, and the brightness entering his eyes through closed lids had become normal. At the same time, he faintly heard the waves rolling and felt the warm sea breeze blowing across his face.

    "Mm——"

After a struggle of consciousness, Amorta's eyelashes trembled a few times before he slowly opened his eyes.

The drowsy sunlight was not as intense as it could be, but instead, it was very gentle. However, even so, Amorta still felt a bit uncomfortable in his eyes, as if he had been in the darkness for a long time.

    "How are you feeling, Amorta?"

The voice asking him was filled with deep concern, but Amorta took a moment to realize that it was Sirius who was speaking.

Amorta blinked a few times, and his slightly blurred eyes scanned around the surroundings.

They were still in the ocean, with the sea as gem blue and the sky as bright blue. Not far away, a solitary island stood under the blue sky and white clouds.

This seemingly reasonable scene, upon closer inspection, held many questions. Amorta tried to figure out the issues, but as soon as he focused his thoughts, his head felt like it had been pierced with dozens of needles, causing excruciating pain!

Finally, his gaze fell on the face of Sirius, who was supporting him, and he found that Sirius was staring at himself with an odd expression, as if he had discovered something surprising.

    "What's wrong?"

"Your eyes—" Sirius was quite surprised "how did they turn into this color?!"

    "Oh——"

Her fingertips brushed over her corners of the eyes, and Amorta weakly smiled, "It has always been this color"

Amorta had never experienced such a degree of weakness before; she could only stand with the support of Sirius, and even speaking left her gasping for breath.

At this moment, Amorta suddenly discovered something strange.

He and Sirius were standing on the sea surface, and Amorta could be certain that Sirius had not used any magic.

"I'm not sure what's going on either—"

    Sirius's eyes also showed confusion.

"I woke up a few minutes earlier than you and as soon as I opened my eyes, I found us floating on the sea. I've checked, the water is real. But how can we be standing on the water surface? I mean, why didn't we sink?"

    "Yes, why is that?"

Amorta stared down at the undulating sea surface. She could smell the clear saltiness of the sea in her nostrils, and also feel the faint coolness mixed with the sea breeze that hit her face. Everything felt very real.

    "Aha, finally we're in!"

As Amorta and Sirius tried to uncover the essence behind the strange phenomenon, a familiar laugh, identical in tone and words, but sounding younger and clearer, sent shivers down Amorta's spine, leaving her startled and lost in thought!
