409th Chapter - The Wise Fairy

Genres:Sci-Fi and Supernatural Last update:25/03/21 12:05:40
Sirius wrapped Harry under his arm, staring fiercely around him, and the insane fury radiating from his body and the extraordinarily bulky form of a werewolf did manage to scare off the other werewolves for a while, but it was only temporary. These savage dark creatures surrounded Sirius and Harry, trying to find an opening.

Lying on the ground, Harry lay face up, looking at the Great Black Dog just a few feet away. At the sight of the ghastly wounds, he was momentarily speechless.

Snape was also at the end of his rope, but with the after-effects of the black magic spell still lingering, he dared to attempt to confront the werewolf.

"Professsor, may I do anything for you?"

Harry, Ron, and Hermione's lives now depend on Snape, and for the first time, Ron began to pray in his heart, hoping that Snape could last a little longer. While Hermione gathered her courage and asked timidly.

Snape was surprised at Hermione's concern, he lowered his head deeply looked at Hermione with concern and tears in her eyes, then, like a burned out his gaze, moved away from the line of sight, the lips moved but nothing said.

Grubbe and Remus had already withdrawn from this battlefield; their fight was more like that of two frenzied mad dogs. Where they passed, the soil was thrown up, blood was spilled, and thick oaks and pines were hacked down to their roots, giving the appearance of a typhoon ravaging the land.

Hogwarts, My Dear Girl: 4. A New Twist

Everyone at Hogwarts felt a sinking feeling in their stomachs. The number of werewolves was just too high and there wasn't any way to break through.

Suddenly, the ground began to tremble, and a rumble from a direction in the Forbidden Forest drew everyone's attention. It was a rhythmic and numerous series of thuds. Harry reacted quickest, flipping out from under Sirius' belly with delight, shouting in surprise,

    "It's Finlay and the others!"

Harry was right, the horsemen were led by Finlay, Rowan and Bayin, and they were the elite warriors of their tribe. They stood on the outskirts of the battlefield, kicking up dust with their hooves, looking in shock at the dead werewolves hanging from trees and vines or lying on the ground.

    "What's going on, Hagrid!"

Bayin, angry and agitated, stamped his foot, shouting angrily.

"I thought you were here to look for the lost wizard, but instead you've engaged in war with these lowly creatures on our land!"

"It's a long story, Bayn!" Hagrid wiped the blood from his face, breathing heavily.

"In short, it wasn't Hogwarts that started the trouble, but you did go to look for werewolf trouble. Why did Grubbe not go after us?"

    "Someone is deliberately misleading us..."

Finlay cautiously stared at the ugly werewolves outside the circle, speaking with a deeper meaning.

"We have found the lost tribe members, but it was not the werewolves who took them. It was a stone that has been enchanted with transfiguration. This is the work of a wizard, we believe this may be a strategy to divert our attention, while our elite warriors are away, taking away our young mares."

Finlay's silver-maned horse shone with a luster under the moonlight.

"We were traveling at top speed to return to the tribe, but we heard the commotion on the way here."

More than twenty Pegasuses stood on their hind legs with a height similar to Hagrid. They held long lances and their eyes looked murderous, causing the wolf pack to shift uncomfortably.

    "Blessed be..."

Drenched in sweat, Ron finally found his voice. His face was as pale as a ghost, and the overwhelming sense of fear had pierced his defenses. He spoke in a voice that was a mix of crying and laughing.

"I thought we were doomed, this is really lucky, isn't it?"

    "You can't see it, Ron--"

Hermione bit her lower lip as she said.

"Someone has been secretly manipulating everything, we've all fallen into a trap."

"You mean Wormtail. Oh, that Peter--"

    Ron asked blankly.

"But Black and Lupin Professor said he was the traitor who betrayed Harry's parents--"

Hermione was used to Ron's slowness. While the werewolves were intimidated, Harry, supporting the unsteady Sirius, came to Snape again.

The horsemen were only twenty or so in number, but each was an elite from their tribe. The combat power of these seasoned warriors was not inferior to the remaining wolf pack, so without the direct order of Grubbe, the werewolves dared not launch an assault recklessly.

    "Finlay--"

Harry was eager to say something, but Finlay had arrived in front of them, avoiding the surrounding werewolves, and he spoke without giving Harry a chance to speak.

"You should return to school, Harry Potter. From now on, the battlefield belongs to the centaurs. We've endured these despicable dark creatures long enough, and now we'll use this opportunity to drive them out of the Forbidden Forest."

    "Just you!"

As Finlay's words fell, on the other side, Grubbe and Professor Lupin, transformed into a werewolf, finally ended their duel. In the fight as werewolves, Remus predictably lost, with bite marks all over his body that were shocking to behold. In the worst place, even a piece of flesh had been torn away.

Lupin's head and two oversized arms drooped, and no one dared to confirm whether the Professor was still alive.

"You filthy, lowly mules dare to try and drive us away!"

Grubbe's fangs were dripping with blood. As he walked, the werewolves gathered quickly behind him, staring at their fallen compatriots in the forest. Every word he spoke carried a heavy scent of blood.

"Well, well, we suffered heavy losses, right? But it's okay, werewolves are resilient. We'll bounce back soon--"

Sirius roared with fury, calling out Remus' name. Grubbe, with a blood-soaked grin, held Remus by the back of the head, displaying him to the crowd like a trophy.

"Don't worry, comrades, this contemptible traitor is still alive. I have so many things I want to talk to him. But the noise tonight was definitely beyond our expectations. If possible, I would like to invite you all to leave with us. After all, we still need to negotiate with Dumbledore."

Hearing that Remus was still alive, Sirius calmed down a bit, but the hatred in his eyes towards Grubbe was deep and painful.

Grubbe's almost provocative words incited the centaurs to unite against him. They wildly pawed the ground, only one command away from charging.

    "We retreat--"

    Without warning, Snape said coldly.

"Do you think I'm a coward, Snape? I won't abandon Remus!"

Sirius immediately turned his gaze angrily at Snape.

Harry didn't want to retreat either. Like Sirius, he would never abandon Professor Lupin. Moreover, up until now, there was no explanation for that Peter!

But Harry had seen the frenzied battle just now, and he knew that he was only getting in the way of those trying to protect him. Sirius was also as pale as gold, with at least eight bloody holes still oozing blood from them. These were all the injuries Sirius sustained while battling the werewolves in his Animagus form.

    "Motorcycles are coming!"

Snape raised his wand and yelled, and a motorcycle suddenly rose from the ground in front of them. After crashing through some vines, it came to a stop right in front of them. As Snape was about to faint from the exertion, he struggled to maintain his composure and spoke in a firm voice to Harry and the others,

    "Get in the motorcycles!"

There was no argument about whether Harry and the young wizards should stay or go, and so all the little ones were quickly herded onto the motorcycles.

    "You too, Sirius!"

    Hagrid said to Sirius,

"You're the one who knows how to use this vehicle, I'll stay here to help the centaurs drive out the werewolves and rescue Remus."

Sirius, who had just made fun of Snape as a coward, was unwilling to leave. However, Snape's one sentence completely penetrated his stubbornness.

"You idiot, are you going to make the same stupid decision again as twelve years ago?"
