How broad a heart one has, the more expansive the world one can see.

Since Amos had first heard the legend of Slytherin's hidden chamber from the mouth of a fellow house wizard while he was at Hogwarts, he had been plagued by such a conundrum: As the most powerful and enigmatic of the four heads, why would Salazar Slytherin have harbored such narrow-mindedness as to specifically construct a hidden chamber to kill later generations of wizards or witches from Muggle or half-blood backgrounds attending Hogwarts?

Is it that maintaining pure blood is the belief that drives him forward in the path of magic?

This doubt lingered until a few months ago, when Amos witnessed the inner chamber within Slytherin's hidden chamber himself, and he finally had a reason to believe that Salazar Slytherin's purpose in building the hidden chamber was far from simple.

And the Double-Ended Wand before him, which exuded a chilling aura, further proved this point...

Although Amos still couldn't figure out what lay behind the door in the cave, it was clear that Salazar's purpose for leaving a basilisk in the outer chamber wasn't as 'simple' as the rumors suggested.

    Bang!

The sudden and unexpected detonation made Amos, who was immersed in guessing, show a surprised expression. When he looked closely, he found that the Double-Ended Wand, which had been silent until now, suddenly emitted a spherical gray plasma ball at the moment when it touched the hand of a Gryffindor, accompanied by a strong repulsive force. The Gryffindor who had suffered burns on his hand was sent stumbling several steps back and almost fell off the altar.

“Indeed, as Rowena had said, the indestructible Double-Ended Wand only obeys its master--”

Having bitten his tongue, the broad-faced Gryffindor showed no sign of despair. He grimaced and waved his hand with a mischievous grin.

"Well, he certainly deserves to be the founder of that group of Gryffindor students--"

    Seeing this, Amos turned black.

"Looks like I can't bring you a gift, Salazar..."

The Gryffindor blew on the smoking hand, saying apologetically, "I'm sorry," before shifting his gaze to the edge of the altar and focusing on a sword embedded in the steps, with a golden handle and a blade shining with cold light.

"The valiant king of Camelot, Excalibur, the sword of King Arthur Pendragon -- Excalibur the Steelbreaker!"

The Gryffindor put aside his determination to bring a gift to his dear friend, took two steps forward, crouched down in front of the Holy Sword, and his eyes burst into a dazzling light that sent shivers down one's spine.

"A fearsome warrior, it's a shame--" the Gryffindor said, full of regret.

"If we had lived in the same era, we would have been each other's strongest opponents and most heartfelt allies."

    Buzz--

As soon as the Gryffindor finished speaking, the Holy Sword, which had been held in check by the belief and courage of its wielder for centuries, suddenly shook violently, as if it couldn't wait to break free from the earth!

"Do you wish to follow me?"

The Gryffindor seemed to understand the hum of the sword, his eyes wide with surprise but then filled with understanding as he said,

"Indeed, a sword like yours should be on the battlefield, not in this endless world of darkness forever silent. However...your mission..."

The Gryffindor looked back at the Double-Ended Wand, which even though restrained by Excalibur and Merlin's magic, still released a continuous deathly aura that withered all living things. He looked a bit torn.

    "Can it be...?"

The Gryffindor had not yet made a decision, but Amos's expression changed subtly as he watched this scene. He looked at the silver sword that belonged to him in Gryffindor's hand and then at the Holy Sword, which had been recorded in both Muggle and wizarding legends, guessing something in his heart.

"Alright, old friend, it seems I need to ask for your help--"

As expected, after a brief hesitation, the Gryffindor looked regretfully at his own sword.

    Click!

The Excalibur that had been silent for centuries suddenly floated into the air, bursting into a dazzling golden light, shaking the grand hall of the empty sanctuary and even the entire island of Avalon, which hung in mid-air. The two basilisks on the Double-Ended Wand writhed along the golden staff as they opened their grotesque mouths lined with venomous fangs and spat out streams of gray magic that made life shudder.

The Gryffindor's red hair danced wildly as a response to the restive Double-Ended Wand. His muscular body erupted with such formidable strength that it seemed capable of shattering the heavens and the earth. He held the silver sword upside down, his gaze piercing, and drove his own sword straight into the sword hilt on the ground. Placing both hands on the hilt, he channeled his thick, crimson magic through his own sword, infusing it continuously into the earth.

Amos watched the scene unfold, a scene that had taken place long ago in an unknown time, even though a millennium's separation made him unable to feel the overwhelming power of Gryffindor. However, his emotions were still stirred.

With Gryffindor's strenuous suppression, the shaking world soon calmed down, and the scorching magic gradually spread along the seams of the altar towards the Double-Ended Wand, forming a pattern resembling an alchemical array around it.

    Sizzle...

The two basilisks attached to the wand looked as if they still had a pulse, their orange-yellow eyes reflecting a strong resentment. However, in the end, they reluctantly closed their eyes under Gryffindor's suppression...

    Swoosh--

The Excalibur, emitting golden magic and light, continuously trembled in mid-air before slicing through the air and landing directly into Gryffindor's empty hand.

"Is the famous sword of Gryffindor the broken Excalibur of King Arthur?"

Amos looked at a loss, as if his worldview had been overturned, but then he muttered to himself in confusion,

"There are clear records in the literature of Gryffindor's sword. Gryffindor's heirloom sword was made by a fey...the two swords' designs are not the same at all..."

Since entering this secret chamber, Amos felt as if he was reliving the time when he first started studying at Hogwarts, where there were too many things confusing him. However, the mystery surrounding Gryffindor's sword was soon resolved by the events that followed--

As soon as Gryffindor grasped the Excalibur, golden and crimson magic clashed intensely. The sword, carrying the will of its original owner like the Excalibur, would not submit to anyone without first being conquered!

Endless gold beams and crimson lights intertwined, blurring Amos's vision and even interfering with the traces left by Gryffindor, who had been there for a thousand years. The figure of the man, as hot as lava, appeared like a TV image affected by strong electromagnetic interference, flickering and blurring. The reading chamber

Amos heard Gryffindor's resounding laugh in his ears. In the blurred light, Gryffindor, whose back was to Amos, held up a molten metal piece and said with a confident smile,

"I will have the most skillful fey reforge your body, and after that, you will have a new name and continue your legend!"

Gryffindor's secret exploration journey was about to come to an end. He reached into his wizard robe and then threw a stone pillar, riddled with cracks on its surface, into the air. Amos widened his eyes and stared at the pillar, which was exactly the same as the one Vintia had, immediately thinking of Gryffindor's initial words.

Gryffindor seemed to be able to locate the space within and beyond the secret chamber through the stone pillar. He entered the hazy, twisted space as he had when he first entered, his body half-crouching as if preparing to leave.

    "Oh, right--"

Just as Amos thought he was going to say goodbye to Gryffindor's traces of time, Gryffindor suddenly stopped his actions of squeezing through and turned back to look at Amos with a smile.

Since the appearance of Gryffindor's apparition, their paths had crossed many times during their journey, but Gryffindor's gaze had never focused on Amos. Instead, it had always passed through him, looking at other things. But this moment, his gaze seemed to cross the barriers of time and settle on Amos Brenn in the distant future!

Amos immediately realized this, his breath quickening, eyes wide with fear. He almost certainly thought that Gryffindor's words 'Don't be afraid, follow me' indicated that Gryffindor could see himself a thousand years later in some way!

"In Salazar's chamber, there are all the answers to the doubts..."
