Chapter 23: Lost Items

Amosta knew his expression must be incredibly absurd, but he couldn't manage to close his mouth, which had widened in shock. He glared at the middle-aged man with fiery red hair, enveloped in a haughty aura, continuously rubbing his eyes, thinking he was experiencing a hallucination!

    "How could that be possible..."

Amosta still muttered, racking his brains to understand the absurd scene he was witnessing. However, besides the idea that he was under a illusion spell, he could not think of any reasonable explanation to answer his shock and confusion at the moment.

Indeed, he felt the abnormal flow of time across the space here, but that did not mean that Godric Gryffindor appearing before him alive was normal!

That's right, Godric Gryffindor is one of the four founders of Hogwarts, a great wizard from thousands ago who has almost been deified. Even though it's been thousands of years later, his thoughts and ideas still have an immense and far-reaching impact on the magical world.

What kind of power can allow Godric Gryffindor to traverse the millennia and stand before him?

Time converter? The thought crossed Ammosta's mind, but it was discarded in less than a thousandth of a second.

That's a joke! A wizard like Gryffindor has no time converters that can touch the incredibly deep and profound magic body like an ocean, let alone Gryffindor himself, or even Dumbledore, or even Amostta himself. Even if all the time converters in the magical world were gathered together, it would be impossible for them to make even a day's return!

Moreover, the past is already destined, but the future has countless possibilities. The power of a time converter can only penetrate the gaps in time and bring people back to the past, but it is impossible for people to go forward in time, especially over thousands of years!

Not even the enigmatic and immensely powerful ancient magic can!

    "Who are you really!"

Like dew on green leaves at dawn, cold sweat appeared thickly on Ammosta's forehead. He breathed slightly and threw away all the thoughts of 'Merlin's relic', Vinitia Cliana and prophecies from his mind. His brown pupils contracted to the extreme, staring fixedly at the man not far from him!

The man who had suddenly appeared seemed to have no awareness of Ammosta Bryan behind him. He regarded his surroundings and the ground with a curious eye, simply standing there without doing anything, yet the entire relic world seemed to be on high alert.

The fiery red hair, the sword scars on his broad face, the sturdy body like a knight, and the delicate secret silver dagger at his waist without a wand - all these details unambiguously pointed to one person: Godric Gryffindor.

    Wait... That sword...

Ammosta's body shivered suddenly, and his eyes betrayed a look of astonishment.

The sword at his waist isn't Godric Gryffindor's wand!

Several months ago, in the Slytherin's hidden room, Ammosta had witnessed Potter fighting with that legendary sword and the basilisk. It was a brilliant silver sword with an egg-sized ruby on the hilt, and its overall style was strongly influenced by gnome craftsmanship.

The mysterious man in front of him was indeed wearing a silver sword at his waist, but there was no decoration on the hilt, and the sword style was very plain. Compared to the exquisite artifact-like sword in Potter's hand, this sword seemed more suited for combat.

Ammosta's lips were tightly pressed together, and the horror in his eyes slowly calmed down, revealing a trace of malevolent calculation.

Could it be that this man just looked a lot like Gryffindor and was a deep admirer of him, so he deliberately dressed up like this?

This explanation is much more reasonable and easier to accept than the idea of Gryffindor himself crossing thousands of years to come to the modern era, but Ammosta still dared not be complacent. Because although he could not feel the magic power within this man's body, he was still shaken by the strong sense of danger he exuded. This level of intimidation was something even Albus Dumbledore could not achieve.

He wanted to ask the man again about his identity, but before he could open his mouth, the man's self-talk had already answered Ammosta's questions and further shattered his mental barriers.

Without any warning, the red-haired man suddenly looked up at the sky above, which was clear and grey without a cloud, then he smiled again.

"I've found you... Ha, it seems that the broken column Roya found and the prophecy of Herga were not in error!"

    Roya and Herga...

Ammosta could no longer deceive himself. This man was indeed Godric Gryffindor!

But this brings us back to the original question: How did Gryffindor manage to do this?

    "Godric Gryffindor... You..."

Ammosta's voice was dry, and he struggled to speak, but the man with red hair did not pay attention to Ammosta. Instead, he withdrew the silver sword from his waist.

In the sharp gaze of Ammosta's sudden alertness, the red-haired man waved his hand and summoned a lion that was half again the normal size, with eyes like rubies and mane as fiery red as flames. With a swift leap, he mounted the majestic lion's back.

This seemingly effortless and natural scene reversed Ammosta's established perception.

He wasn't surprised that Gryffindor could use the silver sword as a wand. Secret silver is an excellent conductor of magic, but it has been gradually replaced because of its rare production, high price, and lower compatibility with modern spells compared to wooden wands.

Ammosta was also not surprised that Gryffindor's Patronus was a magical creature.

Many historical records have mentioned this in passing. Although magical creatures as Patroni are extremely rare, they are not unique. Just like Dumbledore's silver phoenix and his own personal guardian, they are all magical creatures.

Ammosta was shocked that Gryffindor had managed to ride his guardian animal.

As the only spell known to have a positive effect on Dementors, the Patronus Charm is widely recognized as a very advanced white magic spell. The core of this spell is not just pure magic power, but rather the product of the alignment between the wizard's magic and their inner positive power.

Of course, the abilities that Patroni can provide are not limited to just countering Dementors. With some spellcasting techniques, it can also serve as a messenger.

But to ride a guardian animal as a mount?

Ammosta could not understand. A Patronus is a magical creation and does not possess a physical form, does it?

As an outstanding wizard with exceptional magical talent, most spells Amostta can easily understand the basic principles of. However, when it comes to Gryffindor's summoned Patronus, Amostta must admit that he simply cannot understand how it is done. It's like he cannot sense Gryffindor's magic at all.

Godric Gryffindor had no intention of explaining the principles of his magic, and in fact, he didn't even bother to glance at Amosta throughout. As if he wasn't even there, he looked up with his broad face and those two bright eyes embedded in his face. With a leap, he and the guardian lion soared into the boundless sky.

Amostta shifted his gaze, and suddenly, his eyes narrowed as he made a new discovery.

In the vast expanse of the ruins, Amostta noticed an inconspicuous black dot in the distance. If seen from outside, it might be mistaken for a mundane plane or bird, but in this desolate place, it was definitely unusual.

"Avalon Island... It's actually in the sky..."

Amostta forced out a word between his teeth, though he had no energy to deal with this matter at the moment. Gazing at the rapidly shrinking fiery lion in his field of vision, Amostta took a deep breath and leaped forward, transforming into a shadow as he surged towards the sky!
